Extended Battery - HTC Amaze 4G

Been looking into getting an extended battery but have some questions.
First which battery do you guys recommend (brand wyse)? Any issues I should be aware of?
And is it worth it? If I am correct the stock battery is 1700mAh or something. The largest extended battery is 1900mAh? Is that worth spending the money on it?
Of course I don't want to get a new back case either.

There are a few threads already with abunch of info.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324826
But as for me I chose an anker, not a huge improvement but worth the price. Switched it out today

Yea I read that thread, really only one person commented on the worth of getting an extended battery, being only a couple hundred higher.
And the brand name question was quite back and forth too.

I believe you can find it on amazon for cheaper.
There is one by Hyperion on Amazon. 1800 mAh but I can't comment on how good it actually is
Thanks for the speedy responses. I'll look into those
Make sure to report back how it works. The hyperion one mentioned above is not supposed to cause the boot loop problem.

Make sure it's the i777 one, they just released it and like mentioned above its supposed to remedy the boot loop issue that the i9100 caused.
Good info, ill order one and check it out too
I just received my hyperion battery today and I can say its just a Lil bit lighter and thinner then the original battery. Out of curiosity are we suppose to drain these battery first because I just put it in my phone and charged it.

Does it actually fit without warping the back?

Yeah it fits fine it also makes the phone a lil more lighter then it already is

Hey! Mugen Power has a OEM sized extended battery for AT&T SGS2
1800mAh man
Also they have a super-big one: 3200mAh
The actual answer is no.

Yes. There is a very reliable one where I bought several times from them.

Normally for one model they have the standard size with extend capacity and another super size with 2-3 times capacity of the standard one. I have tried HTC Sensation's extended battery, works great on my HTC.
Hope you can find what you need. Besides, they ship to all over the world for free!

The HTC Sensation is a special case because it shares batteries with the Evo 3D, but other phones either you're buying something with the same capacity as the stock battery, or less.
If OEMs could make a battery with more capacity in the same space, we have to ask ourselves, why wouldn't they do it?
Exactly... The amount of money they spend on the battery technology alone is crazy. In the old days before smart phones motorola lived and bashed on good battery life... It was the selling point for phones... Until smart phones. But in my opinion it's even more important
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA App
Its difficult to quantify battery life as its so subjective to actual use/ user habits.
That said, battery technology is pretty good and consistent. You can only get so much "juice" in a battery given its size.
samsung made a 2000 mAh for the euro galaxy s 2, it ads just a little bit of thickness
I would agree with the claims that battery life is nearly impossible to extend but I personally really noticed how much battery life went up with my Inspire when I tried going back to the OEM battery with my normal daily use I'd do with the extended battery. It was incredible what a difference a few hundred mAh make
Sent from my Samsung GT-I9100
It'd be hella nice to get a 2000 mAh battery with NFC support for less than $40.

{¡Q!} ¿any other extended batteries yet?

I want an extended battery but don't want just a mere 2750(especially for the price they are asking). I had a 4500 on my thunderbolt and would like something around there or better.
has anyone found anything like that yet?
I also do not want a huge extended so I am waiting in hopes of a smaller one.

errr... no, i want a 'HUGE' one. i don't care if it doubles the physical size of the phone or not, just as long as it gives a sh** load of power so i'd be able to play games or watch movies all day. wee!
I don't want a different battery, I would just like to see slightly better life from this one. That being said, I haven't seen anything besides the 2750 either.

Lol, I agree.
I have 2 of the 2750 batts because I bought them cheap with the phone, but I want the biggest one I can get too.

where've you seen it for $30?... cheapest i've seen it is at htcpedia.com for $39.99
Got mine from buy.com
Just the battery though, as I have an integration idea with my current otterbox defender case (and most of the stock backplate).

Through the end of the month according to my store. Sad though that they had no accessories on display for the rezound. They had to get them from the back

ok so half off till the end of the month. cool.
oh and as far as.accessories on display, my local verizon only has iphone accessories out. everything else in the back.
I can also confirm that Verizon corporate stores should have this deal through December. When I went yesterday, one guy looked it up and said that the deal was no longer valid. As I was about to leave another employee suggested that the first "just scan it and see what happens". I got the deal. Apparently their system erroneously reports the deal as invalid, but it is valid...until Dec. 31st. So make sure you ask them to scan it!

It's probably closer to 3800 to 4000mah. The Chinese variants always lie to sell some batts unless it's Seido or Mugen who are trusted.
I am getting to the point where i am going to buy one. I am going to wait until my 30 days is up then buy an extended battery. Probably a cheap one like that first. I can't justify $100 for a Mugen one when it comes out, so this may work.

However with Mugen you get a 1 year warranty and guaranteed quality battery rated at 5000+ mah vs these knock offs that may wear off quicker and most likely no warranty.
You get what you pay for
I 100% agree going with Mugen is the smarter move. If I can take the chance and spend $15 on a knockoff and get lucky that it works well it is worth it seeing how the real deal is like 8 times more expensive.
Anyways most people don't keep there phones for more than 2 years anymore so longevity isn't always the biggest selling point.

Damn.. Im thinking about getting it tooo... Is that back.cover.smaller or is it just the pic
Oh btw guys the.mugen.us like 4150mah

The mugen battery for the note is 5400mah, more than double the stock. Unfortunately they don't have a pic yet, I'm just wondering how much size diff it adds

So has anyone try this yet? I am still a bit skeptical if this cover works some ppl said it works with galaxy note korean version only....

Mugen does have a picture if the International version don't they? I know I have seen it it has a quicksand with it. From the pictures I have seen it looks to more than double the thickness of the phone.

Personally, I'd stay from any unbranded batteries from that region. They work fine for awhile after the return period and then they go bad.

Extended batteries for the rezound?

Hello guys. As many of you already know the stock battery which comes with the rezound dies pretty quickly through a decent amount of use in a day. I have been looking for some extended batteries and have come across brands such as Laza zCell, otterbox and Hyperion. What do you guys suggest? Should I just stick with the extended battery provided by HTC?
Thank you in advance.
Mike.

Can't go wrong with the HTC extended battery, there's an extensive thread about it in the Accessories section, best place to ask questions like this.

When it comes to the ReZound STICK WITH THE OEM HTC EXTENDED BATTERY no matter how many more hours they say it will last. Cause it might for the first week then the cells are going to weaken but my extended form my rezound is great and i've had it for almost a month now. I get about 20 hours with 4g on all day no wifi nor 3g and bluetooth is on
Honestly, my HTC battery works best by far. And once you get a replacement back for the phone thunderbolt extended batteries are the same part number and cheap as dirt. Like 3 or 4 bucks a battery.
Edit: Like so: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055OTNK4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

This is a good deal for the official htc rezound extended battery door:
http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-rezound-extended-battery-door-cover.html
Then snag several of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055OTNK4/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00
I got 4 batteries and they only charged me once for shipping. Thunderbolt extended batts are the same as the rezound except for the color.
You can also check out verizon in store (corp stores). Extended batteries with the door were only 19.99 for a long time (unadvertised sale, make them scan it).

They were 19.99 in dec and jan. But 29.99 isn't a bad deal since you need the door anyway. The door alone is 25 on htcpedia.
Ya its a good price. You will probably get longer life out of a mugen extended or one of those "10000mah" pieces of crap jokes on amazon but the htc will outlast them in the long run. Just get the HTC battery

If it is available, ALWAYS get the HTC battery. Usually it is cheaper, is what it is advertised as(mAh), and a higher qualty product compared to over 95% of the junk out there. Mugen and Seidio are the higher quality aftermarket manufacturers, usually more expensive for the same result.

5200 mAh Extended Battery

http://www.amazon.com/5200mAh-Exten...1027430&sr=8-1&keywords=i717+extended+battery
Just wondering if anyone has this. I'm thinking about buying it because I use my Note a lot, and reading around the 5000 mAh battery thread it really seems to help with battery life. I'm just worried that maybe that one posted on Amazon is bad, or doesn't give you good battery life, etc.
Thanks
It looks like the one I bought from tmart. There is a thread already started about it, take a look. It was well worth the money for me.
