Thoughts?

The processor and camera could have been higher.. A Dual core processor and atleast 8mp cam would have been great..

So this is Neo replacement in 2012 series ? not impressed tbh

But this could mean that ICS for our Neo is really really close, because the specs are the same.
Sent from my MT15a using XDA

Its a Neo replacement for sure

Yes, it really looks like an "updated" NEO...
Ok updated might be wrong, nearly same speccs....
looks like a facelifting

It looks great, but 512 ram, not so good..

I would still stick with my neo!

Neo V looks better to me!
Scratched from my Xperia Neo V !

If we can get the firmware, we can finally have the original 2012 widgets and apps on ICS ROMs

I think this is basicly xperia play being sold as xperia neo without the play buttons

Yea. Problem is these Neo /v they are mid range devices that are sold for people who want a good make but affordable Android phone because as I said before when some one says Android they normal say HTC or Samsung galaxy but forget about all the other devices that are Android.
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium

I must say it looks awfull.

rgly
from NEO

gr8 looks but 5mp and 512 ram and single core now y d hell i will sell my neo and go for neo L.if it was deual core 8mp camera and 1gb ram would hav been gr8.

512 MB of RAM, 1 GHz processor, and a 5 MP camera on rear....
hmmmm...just a neo v with ICS...! nothing more i guess...

Why do you people expect that every phone need to have dual core, >5MP, xxxxxMB's of ram and all kind of BS??
All manufactures need to make all range phones.
This one is simply a re-design, and it will be bought by people who don't need to do some crazy things on phone that they need state of the art hardware.
I like how they design it, maybe it's not top model by looking but it will sure be nice to hold it.

True that ^

Wow, people are in love with "V"
@xperiax10, are you sure about the specs posted? I'm totally lost the spec between the "T" & "TX" in terms of the CPU.
AT&T Xperia T LTE (has the MSM8960) or Xperia Nexus once we find out what it is and if its real.

What the hell happened to their entire design department? Did it get outsourced to a small Chinese firm run from the back of a flea market? The Arc was kind of snazzy. The S was a bit hard and industrial. This is just beyond generic looking. IT will get lost among the dozens of budget no name Chinese budget phones if released in Asian markets. I guess that was the idea? Because its blandness would make it stand out in western markets?

I'm pretty sure that the Xperia T also has MSM8960 S4 Snapdragon Dual-Core 1.5GHz like the V.
I don't think that it has the S3 like the Xperia S (MSM8260/8660).
There are some differences between the devices:
pro T:
16GB eMMC (V has 8GB)
1.3MP Frontcam (V has VGA)
Dedicated Camera Shutter (V has no dedicated Camera Shutter)
1850mAh battery (V has 1750mAh)
pro V:
Water and dust resistance
Bluetooth 4.0 (T has 3.1)
Mobile Bravia Engine 2 (T has Mobile Bravia Engine 1)
ClearAudio+
HDR Camera and Superior Auto
Now ... the question is: what is your personal Flagship ... for me its the V ... sadly it has no dedicated camera shutter.
The TX has S4 guys! Don't understand why there is still confusion. It's been made clear all three- TX/T/V have snapdragon S4.
So no more confusion please.

Ask your Sammy friends! lol they always want to copy designs!
When you see bluetooth 4.0, the mobile bravia2 and clear audio +, it looks as if the V is actually a newer design than the T, they just held off releasing the T for god knows what reason.
If I had to pick a phone out of the 3, it would be the V. But I'm not gonna buy any because my P is better for me. The Xperia S was a bit too large for my likings, and it looks like the V will be just as big, even slightly bigger. Which is weird because the V has no physical buttons and the same screen size, so you'd expect it to be smaller. Also because of the virtual buttons, the V will have less screen real estate than the S...
Nope, I think I'll just wait for their next phone that's about the size of the P.

[Q][CM][galaxy s duos]why there is no cyanogenmod 10.1 for galaxy s duos - why not??

Hello galaxy s duos owners!!
As I stated in the title of this
thread, I was wondering
about the nevercoming
CM10.1 to our phones
(S7562)
I searched all over the web
about news of CM10.1 being
ported to galaxy s duos, but didn't
found what I was looking for,
BUT... Why other low end
devices already got an CM10.1
upgrade?
For example, the little LG
Optimus ME, or P350. This is
an old phone (released in 2011
- lets face it) that is weaker
than our tipos. It has:
* 240x320, 2.8" screen
* 600Mhz ARMv6 CPU
* 175Mb RAM - 140MB
internal memory
* Andreno 200 GPU
As you see, it's weaker than
our phones. But WHY THE
HELL this little thing can
stand CM 10.1???
see it!!!

It also has a lower kernel
version than our phones.
So you can see that other older
devices are getting this Android
version, so why ours are not
getting this? Our phones'
hardware is stronger than
those LG and X8... Our phone
just can stand another:
upgrade, this time to CM10.1.
So... is it matter of time to
get this port to our beloved
s duos. What do ya think?
IF I HELP YOU, DON'T SAY
THANKS... JUST HIT IT!!!

Chinese industry analysts Pan Jiutang has posted that HTC will be launching smartphones running 8-core Mediatek processors.
HTC generally use Qualcomm processors for their mid/high-end smartphones, but could be headed to Mediatek for some of their newer devices. Industry analysts in China believe that the Taiwanese phone maker will launch octacore phones using Mediatek processors.

It is believed that entry-level and mid-range octacore HTC phones will use MT6592 and MT6592M (M is a low level version of the chip) Mediatek processors. These phones will likely only be on sale officially in China and will go up against the Huawei 3X and 2nd generation Xiaomi Hongmi.

Mediatek is the talk of the mobile world. Many(If not all) Chinese manufacturer have their phones running on Mediatek SOC's.
Mediatek entry- HTC 608T
Yesterday rumors were making rounds in the internet that Sony would be releasing its first Mediatek Phone dubbed the Sony C3
But Now it has been confirmed that Smartphone maker HTC will release its first Mediatek Chip powered Phone the HTC 608T.
The HTC 608T comes with a Quad Core 1.2 Ghz MT6589 Chip set with 1GB RAM, 1280*720p-4.5inch display (HD resolution), powerVR SGX544 GPU.
Ultrapixel imaging tech- Maybe in the days to come!
The rear camera is 8MP while the front facing camera will be 1.6MP.
With HTC you can expect the innovations from its bigger siblings to come at affordable prices in the future, a unibody design from the One series, or the Ultrapixel camera of the HTC One, How can we forget the legendary Sense UI?
Great Design is one of the Many perks you will get on a budget with HTC joining the Mediatek bandwagon
And with a well established dealer base in India and a pricing of under 15000INR HTC seems not only to have a winner in its hands but also a new series of phones which will propel it back to its glory days and probably even give the smaller and lesser known phone makers like UMI, Jiayu et al a run for their money.
One thing is for sure though, Exciting days for the consumer ahead!

haha this is not Mega 2. It's a plus. Remember Galaxy Tab Plus? and then Tab 2. So it's a Plus not 2.
Probably I will get the galaxy mega plus. With snapdragon 400 it's going to be a beast! Can't wait to get aosp roms on it!
Lol so only diff is a quadcore ......

Now if it was a mega 6.3 then that would be cool..and looks like by the specs it has no HD screen either.

I want quad core and more ram...higher resolution screen too.... but im content with my mega now. Will wait for more open development before i buy another mega.
That is really cool,i'll wait for that,
i see this post are dead.. is it come in market now ?
Sounds like a waste to me. Since everything in the Note 4 will be updated, the least they could do is make this new Mega closer to the Note 3 specs.

How is the z2

I used to have a z1 but after lollipop update the camera lagged like hell (happens on all z1 after lollipop) then I upgraded to a m4 aqua but it's so slow.
I want to know guys how is the z2, the camera lags on lollipop and if there is any problem with this phone, don't post "get a z5" I don't have money lol

Lollipop on yhe z2 is great, not sure about which lag are you talking about tho. There is no lag in the camera interface although there is small shutter lag, les in SA, more in manual mode, but tollerable. Think its a little less than on KK. All in all the best camera and android experience I had till now, tried a lot of 2014 and 2015 phones, IMO Z2 is even better than the SG S6, maybe not camera quality but experience amd OS smoothness is better, Z2 is still a flagship worth considering at a right price.
Totally agree with your opinion @5ageman
Yup, still won't get a new phone myself after owning one almost since release, it's well worth getting for the low price available now.
Thank you guys, enjoying my new z2!

Darknessmc, download Flashtool and flash rom what you want. But if you downgrade, please only with full wipe.

The only thing "missing" on Z2 is fingerprint scanner, but you don't need it if you use smartwatch to unlock or NFC to unlock. (I just implanted ntag216 glass tag in my hand, wich is very convenient for unlocking, but worked better on KK due to LP security restrictions, to be honest).
It has everything a top phone needs to have, including basic things like sd-card that some top-phones don't have
The only cons in my opinion are (and they are not exclusively z2-specific):
-No qi-charging (but magnetic "plug" possible!)
-Battery is fix (but new one costs less than 15 bucks on ebay if you can change it for your self)
-Fingerprint sensor missing
-No Dual sim (a lot of phones don't have one, though)
Qualcomm 801 is of course not as good as a 820, but honestly: there are not a lot phones yet with an 820, a lot have 810 or 808 or whatever...
