Hey,
I recently updated to 2.3.3 using the pc update software from SE website, and the update was completed sucesfully, but i seem to have a small bug with some of my pre purchased games.
When i was on 2.3.2 i had purchased a few games, for example Backbreaker 2 Venegeance, and after the update the hardware controls have stopped working so for example when you pressed circle it would juke right, but now it just pauses the game as if i was pressing the back button, and also the triangle button has become completly unresponsive.
The only other game that has been affected by this is fifa 10 which came pre installed with the phone.
Iv tried all the basic troublshooting, uninstall, reinstall, clear data + cache and tried moving the game onto the phone as apposed to having it stored on the sd card.
Anyone have any solution to this as its really frustrating not being able to play a game iv just paid for. I know that when i was on 2.3.2 it was all working perfectly.

I'd say it's not your problem, but the games'. They'd need an update. However, that FIFA stops working is to say the least disquieting, since it comes with the phone. I guess they'll update it on their own.
Not sure about all the games, as I didnt purchase them.
Just tried FIFA, since its preinstalled. Seems to me the buttons are working fine here, circle, triangle and all.
I am also on 2.3.3 Generic UK version, rooted image and Bootloader unlocked.
I mean all of my other games work as normal. Its just those two which is annoying but hopefully something will fix them

Hey everyone,
This is a new issue and I am not sure what happened but I definitely have an issue that seems to just be with any Angry Birds Game.
They were working fine but I had taken a break for a while from playing them but now I want to and when I open any of them, they look messed up.
It looks like they are trying to play on a small screen and everything is messed up. I can hear the music fine but the graphics are whacked. I tried compatibility mode on and off with no help.
I have recently installed Chainfire so I do not know if the Nvidia plugin may be the culprit or if it is something else entirely.
I did try to uninstall Rio and reinstall it as well and that did not work either.
Anyone have anything that may help? My children would be very appreciative. Thanks again everyone.
Go into Chainfire3D and make sure you default is set to "None".
I'm guessing your default is set to Nvidia and that is causing your problem. I highly recommend you purchase the Pro version of Chainfire3D (if you haven't already) so you can have per app settings.
Thank you. Doing that and unchecking a few other things got it back. On my way to purchase the full version now. Works perfect now. Thanks again.
P.S. Sorry for the other thread, I thought I had backed out before I pushed that one through. I will take care of that.
Glad you got it working!
hey guys, my optimus one keeps rebooting whenever i try to install an hd game like air attack hd, drift mania hd etc ..while reckless racing and some others work fine ..has anyone else faced this problem? ..am on megatron v1 and franco kernel v19.2
HD is a suffix that doesn't really mean anything in this context... it just looks cool.
When exactly does the restart happen? When you start the install, after a while, when you're done and launching the game for the first time...?
What's your system like? Do you use anything like DarkTremor? Do you install to internal memory or SD? Have you connected your phone to your PC and checked if there are any leftovers in .android_secure? Do you have ADB ready? Have you cleared your cache?
air attack hd is not compatible for the p500

specifically what hd games are you talking about?
honestly i can't remember THOSE HD GAMES that caused the rebooting..
i remembered just one..
GuerillaBob.. and mostly Gameloft HD Games..
that's all i can remember
The specifics would be:
1. Connect to your PC, check the SD card for errors, then check if the list of files in the .android_secure matches what your phone reports to be installed on SD.
2. To clear the cache, restart into recovery mode, then select "clear cache"
All of this probably won't help with most Gameloft titles though... they are simply not designed for your hardware (and as far as I remember not sold to people with such devices). Obviously that still shouldn't crash the installer (though it is expected to crash the game), but my guess is that the games are simply too big.
guerrilla bob is not even supported on our phone so theres no way you could've downloaded it from the market. WAREZ
i downloaded guerrilla bob from some site and installed it..it runs for a few minutes then closes automatically..but, that's another matter...

does the game size matter?..nova is running fine even though it's bigger in size than the ones i am talking about..
Let's put it this way: if a game is big, it usually has a more complex structure inside the APK as well and that can cause issues... at least that's what it looks like to me, but I haven't worked my way through that part of the Android source yet. Of course, it should not happen, but who knows what the malware you've downloaded is trying to do. Just stick to the market, for your and our sake, which is BTW also the component that's responsible for "not compatible" messages. APKs themselves don't have any concept of "compatibility".
in regard to the size of the game' i think that doesnt even matter.. i have a NOVA also running on my phone and it works fine on stock 2.2 rom ~
about guerillabob.. i managed to play this game that's when i was on custom rom (void #forever) OC'd @ 768mHz..
HD Games TIP : tried to find APK that is running on ARMV6.. (GuerillaBob for ARMv6) coz i think the APK's that you downloaded are not working on AMRv6 that's why when we tried to install the game' it reboots our phone automatically.. we all know that phone has their different specs' hardware and limitations
HOPE IT HELPS ^_^

yaa, i'll search if the games are compatible before downloading..
Hey folks, have this game on my arc s & it works fine. However, on my Sony S the accelerometer seems disorientated. Holding the tablet in landscape mode as you would expect to use it, it always steers to the right (its almost like it wants you to hold it in portrait to play it) Ive tried recalibrating both horizontal & vertical in the settings, but short of slightly altering it, its completely unplayable :-(
This also happens in the game 'little robots', but the 3d maze works as expected?!?!
Am i missing something or does somethin need changing?
thanks in advance
Its the same with mine. Cant play the game due to this issue. Hope someone can give us a solution coz gtfree seems kinda fun.

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone else is facing similar issues, or know of a fix. All large games seem to crash on my device. I cant get any of them to launch fully. Examples include VainGlory, Nova 3, Asphast, etc.
Smaller simpler games such as candy crush seem to work fine, which leads me to believe it may be due to low memory restrictions?
Can anyone help guide me on troubleshooting steps? I'm running G-925F, Unikernel V4.
Thanks.
I have played those games, they have never crashed on me. The only game that "sometimes" force stops is Yugioh.

Thanks for the feedback man. Looks like its an isolated issue. I'll try to delete cache and data and see how it goes
If anyone else has any inputs. Please do chime in.
