Download and install Fus Downloader
Using Fus Downloader, get the firmware for your exact phone (make sure product code, PDA, CSC and Phone match your phone)
Flash it with ODIN.
Once you phone has started, go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset.
Once that's done and your phone has booted again, flash the same ROM again.
Kies should now recognise your phone.

How do you tell which firmware to use on check fus? My phone is unlocked and I am not sure which one I am supposed to use. I am on KPQ, so I am guessing I would get a bootloop so I will have to reflash after the first time. Is there anyway to confirm that the firmware is indeed stock for my device?

Just choose which device you have from the list in Fus Downloader. For example, if you phone was originally a United Kingdom O2 Network, choose United Kingdom O2 from Fus Downloader and flash that.

I really appreciate all of the help, however mine is the unlocked version from the UK. I don't see an option for that. Any way to check on my phone or some other method?

I also have an unlocked UK, and it is on the list in Fus Downloader as United Kingdom/Ireland GT-I9100LKA... (it doesn't fit on the screen). It's not sorted alphabetically.

I noticed this too.
I flashed XXKI3 and connected to Kies to test it. It should upgrade to KI4 as it did many times before when I was testing.
Now Firmware Update in Kies is disabled.
Also Check FUS isn't working.
It looks like update servers are down. Maybe it's preparation for ICS release or just maintenance.
Kies:
//EDIT// Kies is working again.
Check FUS:

Europe - LKAXEU
RWAXEU is the same as LKAXEU - it doesn't matter for firmware.
RWA and LKA are codes for color of the phone.
LKA is Black and RWA is Ceramic White.
I have two I9100s. One is Black I9100LKAXEO (Poland) and second is White I9100RWAXEO.
Kies is working again but Check FUS not.
Maybe Samsung changed how "delivery" of updates to Kies works to block Check FUS?
///EDIT///
And again Kies isn't updating phone... Strange.
Last time that happened with servers it was due to a major upload .
jje
[Well I never, Oh what a surprise.]
Still the same here no "this is the current version"
Lol, guys, seems like Sammys preparing for ICS big release, my kies is asking me to update when I open it, but update is just stays at 0%, no loading/downloading, strange.
OK, Check Fus working - still there's XXKI4 for me.
Kies is working too again.
//EDIT:
Both not working again. Jesus.... We must wait.
Oh, great, now KIES is crashing during update, something is not right here lads...

XEU is United Kingdom, not Europe (yes, CheckFus site is wrong about this).
Nice, updated without errors, but there's no new firmware yet, no ICS guys, probably we should wait for 1st of march, i think its correct date.
OK, today Kies and Check FUS are working again. There's no new updates visible on the servers. Maybe they are there physically and will be "unlocked" tomorrow.
Getting to the point. My unlocked, non rooted, upto date.. Kinda.. It's on 2.3.6 Sgs2 connected to kies works fine, but when connected, kies shows that the update feature isn't supported by my device.
My other sgs2 is rooted and I'm using an ics custom ROM so I can't check with that.
But I got this phone a couple of Weeks ago and decided not to root it until after the 4.0 update.
I have tried OTA as well but that doesn't work either.
Any idea why kies is showing my device as not supported?
Thanks

Anyway, what's CHECKFUS and how to use it? Thanks

Hello guys
I need some help here, few days ago I've updated my S3 to a leaked version of 4.2.2 from sammobile, didn't like the logo at startup (israeli language symbols) so I've decided to get back to 4.1.2. When I reinstalled 4.1.2 android looked for the Product code, and selected Germany. After done this my samsung kies saying my firmware is not supported, done some research and spoke with a nice guy from sam forum. All i know my csc is btu and product code is german. Bought the phone in uk at carphone warehouse and was unlocked to any network. Phone is not rooted but I really want phone to be as it was before, so I can get OTA updates directly. I don't use kies to update but if kies is messed up and don't match OTA updates will be affected.
Here some of my details:
checkFUS
product code : GT-I9300MBDVD2
PDA : I9300XXEMC2
PHONE:I9300XXEMC2
CSC:I9300XAEMC2
Any help will be much appreciated
Thank you
Run the csc selector app from Play store and select BTU, this will factory reset the device.
The problem comes if you are trying to run it on a rom later than ELLA since that update, you need to be rooted to change csc. If you really don't want to root, flash a rom earlier than ELLA, change the csc then use Kies to update to the latest.

Same goes for any stock firmware if you install it then its possible Kies cannot match your firmware .
Find
stock UK or UK CPW firmware from about the time you purchased the phone .
Best solution as always is not to use Kies or OTA and flash what you want when you want .

Thnx JJe, so if I install firmware on link ya just posted is kies or OTA updates going to work?
Hi,
This is one of my first posts so please bare with me. You will need to download a few programs to get this working.
The first is frija. LINK - https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4886005&d=1574653611
Above app is not mine all credit to the dev in the link.
Secondly you will need Odin I'm sure you can all source this yourselves.
After downloading and installing frija, open the programme and search for SM-N970F CSC code DBT
Continue to download the firmware and then flash with odin.
Simple method if you cant wait for it to be rolled out in your country.
I am not responsible for your data or devices, follow the steps at your own risk.
This should work for note 10 plus also, just change the model number and keep the csc as DBT
can i keep home csc ?

I did a clean install, in odin i selected wipe in options so formatted all and it installed perfectly. Perhaps use smart switch to backup all your data and then flash if you still have this option available to you.
Thanks... unfortunelly the download of the file from Server is not working...too slow (

What model phone are you using and what network CSC are you going from and to? I went from UK unlocked direct Samsung handset BTU to Germany DBT model SM-N970F. Worked without issue. If you give more details maybe myself or someone else will have the answer.

CSC : N975FOXM1ASJC

I downloaded matching Odin n975f dbt files, my CSC is See ( south east Europe)
Can confirm this worked for me without wiping (Using home_csc). I had the first beta installed before (through update.zip).
Thanks!
I have OTA with Android 10
Hi , if i flash my note 10 with DBT csc code it will be any problem using my phone i UK
My csc code is o2u,xec
I did it, works very well, tnx! I used Android 10 SER(EU, Russian, all lang included, all CSC included), downloaded with SamFirm app, with Odin 3.14.1 using CSC(not Home CSC). Before all, i backed-up all my stuff with Smart Switch to PC. My SIM was in phone(if it does any differences at all)...
P.S Exynos Note 10 plus is in case....
P.S 2 Android 9 aka PIE was before that....
I bought an unlocked SM-T878U for AT&T and since the tablet for T-Mobil has the same model number for either provider, can I Flash the firmware for the T-Mobile Tab S7 onto my tablet without any problems? Sorry if this has been asked I searched around for over an hour and didn't find the info I wanted.
Edit: this is the 5G version not the LTE but both are 5G
Thanks
Yes... you can flash firmware from the same model.
T-Mobile and AT&T should be using the same firmware (T878USQU1BUAC).
Your SIM card and device CSC determines what carrier specific apps and features to load.

ATK1 is an older version. Just make sure whatever version you flash is for the same model number. T878U.
It will install without issue... make sure to flash HOME_CSC to keep all of your data, apps, and settings.
Thank you for the info and I didn't know that home CSC would keep all my data... Thank you.

You're welcome.
The rule applies to all Samsung firmware.
Flash CSC_OMC to do a clean install.
Flash Home_CSC to keep your stuff.
That did not work I downloaded the firmware and flashed it and now it just goes to recovery mode and won't even boot up anymore figures this would happen, just the way this year has been going, you have a place I could download a good firmware to just completely nuke it and go back to stock? It was stock before I mean I just tried to put the T-Mobile Version on.
From this site, https://galaxyfirmware.com/model/SM-T878U and I used this build number T878USQU1BUAC
Edit: Edit it did end up finally booting up after doing the app repair function in the recovery and also a factory data reset but still says AT&T only thing that has changed is I now have android 11 lol
I just want to get all the att stuff out so I can use the t-mobile texting and whatnot I can't use that now because of the att junk.
It is like a VIRUS infesting it.
Again thank you for all the help.

Looks like you'll have to manually change you CSC.
This post has some advice on how to get this done.
SM-T978U Odin Firmware Flash
Purchased a sim unlocked SM-T978U (Verizon Tab S7+ 5G) and am trying to flash the unlocked or Tmobile stock firmware to it. I've gotten "passed" flashes everything when flashing all of the files from the corresponding stock firmwares, but...
forum.xda-developers.com
Also make sure you are using a patched version of Odin when flashing packages... I assumed you know that, but in case not, here is a link to download it... https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262903995077
From all the digging I did. It is not possible as you have to unlock the bootloader to change the CSC. And well I spent over 3 days on this crap to no avail. I just sold my ATT model and bought the tmobile version. So ridiculous that Samsung does not just sell an unlocked version to avoid this hassle. Very annoying.
