swype update???

I've been wondering this for a while now but I'm sure there's how do I update my swype?
You dont, if you want to use the swype 3.0 betas you have to uninstall the current one and install from their site.
The pre-installed one is just that, 351/360 are the newest bundled versions

Download and install swype installer . You can find by some google or I prefer swype own website. I am wittibg this from my streak so can't unpload , I will upload the aap as soon as I get to my laptop . And fre e z e. Swype or delete from root explorer , go to system/aap
Look for swype here and delete,
Now go to data/data. Look for swype related folder and delete it, . Now restart your device , when rebooted. Open swype installer we just installed. It will guide you ,
NOTE- WHILE IN ROOT EXPLORER YOU NEED TO PRESS THE BUTTON SATIN R/W . AND WHEN UPDATING U NEED WIFI OR DATA CONNECTION
Edit- forgot to mention . Go to swype website register there in beta section or so. Don't remember. You will get email. Still can download the swype installer from below link
http://db.tt/EyzTe4T
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
you also need to delete libswypecore.so from system/lib/
Here is the full way that I did it:
Use Titanium Backup to uninstall Swype. (note: freezing swype did not work, i had to uninstall it)
Use Root Explorer and delete (or rename) /system/lib/libswypecore.so
Register for the beta here: beta.swype.com
They will send you instructions to your email on downloading a Swype Beta Installer. Follow them.
Once installed, run the Swype Beta Installer, choose your language and follow the on screen instructions.
On a side note, I really do like the new beta better than what we had. Buttons are slightly bigger, however I did have to turn off auto-correct.

Is that the correct specification?

@luuk
I am attaching you the following files 1. Mail.apk 2. Mail.odex in the zip.
Do the following:
1. Unzip the attached files to your SD Card
2. Use Root Explorer to navigate to /system/app and mount it as R/W
3. Delete the Mail.apk and Mail.odex (This you have already done by mistake I believe)
4. Navigate to your SD Card and copy the files you just unzipped to /system/app
4. Using Root Explorer, long press and hold on each of the two files (.apk and .odex) and set permissions as:
Owner (Read, Write)
Group (Read)
Other (Read)
5. Mount /system/app to R/O and exit.
6. Restart
Goodluck
Thanks for the zip, but it is still not working...
Thank you for posting the zip, but it still complains the mail is not installed...
I also changed the owner and group to root.
Any other suggestions?

Mate, before moving the apk to your system, MAKE SURE your system is mounted as READ-WRITE in root explorer. you will find this option on the top in the root explorer app when you have navigated to your system file.
