Yeah +1 for this. I was glad to see that mVideoPlayer finally added support for in-container soft subs.

Playing .avi files

kindly recommend a player or is there a way to install codecs?
don't want to keep converting files too many of them.
The best player you can use is MoboPlayer. It plays almost all formats. And also can downsize 720p videos.

[Q] Movie format

What format do I need to rip DVDs to to be able to play on the Vibrant with an ICS ROM?
x264 at 1.5Mbps is the best choice, using a player like DICE Player.

When playing MKV vedios, there's no audio ported. I tried built-in player, Mobo player and MX player, but none worked.
Your suggestion will be highyly appreciated.
