I'm on NRG's ROM. All of a sudden yesterday, my phone just starting rebooting itself. I've been using his ROM for a while now and it never happened. I have the logcat. Can someone tell me what the hell is happening?
I already superwiped and flashed a clean ROM. I didn't add tweaks or install any apps and it still happens. Really pissing me off.
Could be hardware. Revert back to stock for 24hrs. If it revolts again then it could be hardware related....it could also be battery related.
X told me I had to fix permissions. I just did that so I will see if it happens. I hope not lol.
About 2/3 of the way down the logcat you have all kinds of system errors... Idk what they mean, but look legible to anyone who knows what they're looking at

There were a TON of unkown permissions toward the top of logcat

So far, I have no issues since I fixed the permissions. Thank God.
This exact thing happend to me. Oddly it persisted through 3 different Roms including stock but once I fixed permissions everything was great

I have tried, on several occasions, to update both. My phone will get to the screen saying it is checking for updates, then it will reboot. Anyone else have this issue, is there a way to fix it?
Thank you in advance,

Never had this issue on any of my phones, sorry :/

This is the first one I've had issues with, could it be the phone itself? I've had random restarts before, and had removed/replaced the battery as recommended in another thread, but still have problems.

You might want to try to flash the update here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202666
Or you can flash this 45.2.5 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212824
and then try the manual update again to get you up to date?
I'm running 45.3.5, is that maybe the issue?

Does anyone else still get the black screen where the phone is still running but the screen won't turn on? Used to happen to me before i rooted and even after I flashed the part of the first HTC update that was supposed to fix it. Been using aosp for a few months with no problems but flashed a sense ROM 2 days ago and this morning my alarm didnt go off and my phone was black screened again.

Does your rom have a custom kernel on it? Likely the case...
Yeah ziggys. Ill try stock and see if that fixes it thanks

For me on Ziggys its a know issue. You can try turning off auto brightness rumor has it that fixes it.
thanks I'll try that first, I like this kernel
Re: [ROM] 07-22-2012 JELLYBLUR V1.2 CM7.2 - SPJESTER Production
Media volume appears to be jacked up on this ROM. When turning my volume down 3 notches, it almost goes silent. Did I miss a fix in the settings? Sorry to post this under the "Random Q&A" section but it appears that XDA micromanages harder than my boss. Thus, I can't communicate with the actual dev. Yes, I've searched this site as well as Rootzwiki, but have not found an answer. Thanks for your time!

I am going to try tirmat 1.4 kernal instead 1.5 tomorrow. I heard its better.. (xda 10 post sucks ..before you can post in dev section) so far this rom has little hick-ups but good.. try next time to add gapps in the d/l (like liquid ics) might be easier..

Its not kernel related im not sure wat it is. I like that it goes quiet quiclly and loud fast honestly lol idk why its being weird tho but im working on it trust me

I do like how it gets quiet quickly, however it kind of defeats the purpose if it goes silent before you get to the bottom of your media volume. I think whatever it is it's also influencing the peak volume. Don't get me wrong, I've said it before and I'll say it again: by far the most reliable ROM I've run to date on my Bolt. Thanks for all the time you're investing!

This is the only place I can replay but great build dev. I can't post the picture but I got 1day and 8min off this rom. I just put it back on charger for 30 min total maybe.. I drop it to 3g at work and bump it back to 4g at lunch and I break.. can't wait till the new build ..

I hope this isn't too late to be noticed/I certainly don't want to add to the trouble you've gone to Jester, but I noticed a force close under menu/settings/sound/volume. Not a big deal, just wanted to bring it to your attention since I didn't see it mentioned on the main thread. Thanks for everything you're doing for the community!
Since I can't post in the dev section, just wanted to say thanks again Jester! 1.3 is fantastic so far! One of the most responsive roms I've ran yet. Only one question / issue so far - I ran the PDroid patch this morning, but when I flash it my bolt freezes on the boot animation. Anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: Changed "period" to "PDroid"

Yea, I cleared the Dalvik and Cache - just tried it again and I got the same freezing. Also, unrelated, on this rom mlb at bat won't let me watch games. It works on any sense roms, but it can't find my location. Did the gps fix and I get a lock within 2 seconds. Otherwise no issues since flashing!

No problem. I wasn't trying to call you out, just confused. To answer your question, it looks like you may have to patch the ROM yourself to make it compatible. This recent version had fixed compatibility issues with a few ROMs, but since Jester's is new I doubt it includes his ROM (even though it's CM based, there are going to be differences). See the screenshot below or visit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056
Then again, I could be completely off base...

Where would I clear battery stats. I tried to do a battery calibration but wont even let me charge to 100%
The baked in Battery Calibration app will do it for you, but it's recommended to barge to 100% before callibrating. You can also clear battery stats through recovery where you would clear your dalvik. There should be an option to clear battery stats.

I've flashed 5 different roms. It's still there. Started on aokp but never went away.
So I'm guessing its my phone?

Mine is in the status bar. And sometimes I turn the screen on and it looks like static. Artifacts everywhere.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
That happens sometimes, I see it happen more on aosp and chalk it up to driver issues but heat stress will damage GPU and spots in textures, flickering while rendering stuff like dynamic lighting are more common symptoms. Yours just seems like a bad redraw. Happened all the time on my og evo when leaving CMW recovery
Also check developer options for a setting called force GPU rendering, if its ticked untick if not enable it and see if that helps

If its a redraw issue its not really a hardware related failure. Try using one of the super wipe scripts floating around before you flash a rom

So I ran the superwipe. But its still there sort of. I flashed a sense rom, and I saw it before the sense status bar loaded.
And now my phone has the proximity sensor issue.
It's like stuff from aokp or cm10. Anyway it could be stuck somewhere?

Grab the android SDK or grab the adb tools zip floating around here and use that. Then do a little reading on the partitions and adb commands

Please don't report bugs for ROMs here, post them in the thread you downloaded from.
Use this thread to report bugs for aokp/cm10 jellybean builds so we can let the dev thread be the dev thread.
This is not a support thread, if you chose to compile or beta test jb then you knew what you were getting yourself into. That being said, if you find a fix please share.

I'm on a build from 2 nights ago but the sound profile seems finicky. Like it will show the icon n status bar that its on silent. But a notification will sound, then I can use the volume hardware buttons and see that the ringers way up, but if I turn it back down and LA with it a bit it gets right.
Also, with the play store when I am doing what I call rapid fire downloading, which is scrolling through "my apps" and installing one after the other, is rare but after about 12 apps sometimes the play store will just force close to the home screen. But then I can open it and it loads up fresh and works fine.

Not until you just mentioned it. I think it's a pretty silly gimmick and I never notice it unless I'm looking for it. I can confirm though.
Was listening to BT music and placed a call ( with phone not bluetooth ) was done with the call the audio played from phone and not from BT.
