This has my ICS theme on it you may or may not like, just backup your existing Contacts.apk just in case. I'm attaching the flashable zip and a revert back to Saurom's original Contacts flashable zip. If you've done any modding to your existing Contacts.apk then back that up and put into 1 of my zips or your own in order to go right back where you were at.
Also made it so that if you want a custom background for your dialer, you just make any image and name it 'custom_background_dialer.png' and place it in the res/drawable-hdpi-finger folder overwriting the transparent 1 that is already in there. Personally I prefer the transparent background and haven't even tried replacing that image yet so report back...

Any chance to get this compatible with 240 dpi?

[Q]Transparent Setting.apk !!!

To do that, you need to decompile both .apk files (from your ROM and from the Galaxy ROM) (I use apk manager to do that) Then compare "styles.xml" in /res/values folder and transfer the data from the galaxy one to yours...(this xml might be different in Galaxy ROM) And then you only need to re-compile and optimize it...
(As settings.apk is a proprietary ROM apk, you need to decompile/recompile it using HTC/Galaxy framework...)
Good luck with that
EDIT: In the link provided, there is how he did it....
EDIT: He didn't actually make it transparent, he just placed a theme wallpaper in the background instead of White one...
thanks for the info.i will look into it
You had any luck with this?
no, i am trying
welcome,any one can try it, if it is successful post it here

Theming settings.apk in Viper

So recently I've been using the viper version of THIS theme on my HOX+ using the Venom Viper AT&T rom. I know the theme was made for the normal HOX but I figured I'd give it a try. I flashed it and it surprisingly worked really well, except for the fact that the settings app continuously crashed. I decided to use what minimal knowledge of apk theming I know to extract the png files from the rom and put them in the settings apk from viper.
It ended up only half working since half the icons are still not themed and it ends up looking like this.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I guess my question is where does the settings apk pull its icons from? Are all of them contained in the apk? Or does it pull from elsewhere as well? Also would it be different for viper then some other rom?
Anybody?
Sorry, I can't help you but the theme does look awesome. If you get it working please do let us know. Good luck!

Please Backup your system ui somewhere before pushing this to system/app
Rename this apk to SystemUI.apk and put it in system/app
used mi file explorer for da job coz it directly gives the permissions
You will not get a bootloop but if u do( i did when i extensively modded the jellykat statusbar)
Flash systemui zips from @CHirtargh or akshaymod by @swhackeristahn
and then replace your original systemui
Press thanks if u like this...
great thanks

[Q] Blacked Out System UI

Im using the black contacts, dialer, and system ui(D851 ONLY) from hello00s international G3 themes thread. They are pretty good for a first version. Only a couple major flaws.
Is there anyone with a Sprint G3 that is capable of theming that can touch up so this works on Sprint 100%? A few places you can't see text. And System Updates force closes settings. That's really about it.
The contacts and dialer are flawless(dont install LG Tele Service, leave it stock).
Any themers up for a "little" work?
(DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS THEME IF YOU ARE NOT WELL SCHOOLED IN HOW TO MOVE FILES WITH ROOT EXPLORER, CHANGING FRAMEWORK FILES REQUIRES OVERWRITING STOCK WITH A FILE ALREADY SET TO THE CORRECT PERMISSIONS, NOT DELETING THEM AND REPLACING)
Sorry to yell but I forsee bricked phones trying to use this. I did once and had to reflash stock firmware.
