Hi I'm trying to use ICS daily on my Neo V but I need to complete GTA 3 and with ICS gta 3 is not working for me well yes it's starting resume game works but I'm in the game I can play like ~10-40 sec and game just freezes well I can hear game and it's like 0.5 fps
any advices I used every ICS rom with Inteks kernel so are there some solutions
another question my is which rom is best for games like GTA3[this is my most important game to play I need to complete it] and other heavy games ?
also what is normal amount of free ram when using task killers?
Have you tried V6 supercharger on ICS. This seems like a RAM problem to me, not enough free RAM.
GTA 3 didnt work on any ICS ROM for me :/

yea id also like to know..i ran shadowgun on miui 2.2 and its laggy
well i used almost all roms here but as being a gamer i tested different games like GTA shadow gun shadowgurdian real racing2 dead space modern combat 3 etc etc on all roms n so far this customrom diandx or something like tht perfomed way better thn even wiui specialy for games .. wht u need to do after flashing it is use 360 launcher rather thn dxhome (well it looks better performs better ) and use v6 supercharge ..bullet proof launcher (dont forget to remove default dxhome) and agressive ram mangement this workd for me gta or anyother game never laged for me after tht
edit:- i think a simpel way to check graphic performance of a rom is to run quadrant benchmark .. and check fps duing benchmarking, note down the max fps tht u get and stable fps ..it gives a very gud idea whts gonna happen in games

while i was playing nova 2 it seems really laggy but the game supports neo n neo v any idea y is it so.....i tried stock .42 fw n cyanogen 7.2 rc1 but sam laging n one maore this it lags on 1.4 ghz overclocked cpu.....pls help
that game is nothing special in graphics but it's very laggy , badly optimized game i guess....
A lot of our ics issues are to do with tp apps/games not being optimized for ics

I'm thinking he is talking about gaming experience in gingerbread. Cos this game does not support ICS and yet gameloft didn't released an ICS update for it. Btw ICS update for Asphalt 6 works smooth( not 100% smooth) when I overclock to 1.4ghz while it worked good at stock clocks in gingerbread :/

Rayonium v7(GB) and Aire's kernel is the best experience for gaming. No lag at all in fifa 2011.

I'm a hardcore gamer too... I play asphalt 7, brother in arms, Nova 3 and modern combat. I play them buttery smooth except for Nova 3 with a little lag on gxg Rom jellybread with aires kernel

Overclocked to 1.6 GHZ
I have BIA 2, Real football 2012, Six Guns, Virtua tennis and GT racing HD
Everything works fine
Try critical strike (counter strike)

I don't know how I do working Nova 3 on My Ray!! I've Stock GB 4.0.2.A.0.62 rooted...
Check out my tutorial in my signature if you want to optimize your Xperia Ray for gaming
you can use lightweight rom that do not have much preinstalled apps..setting your low memory killer to more aggresive..and overclock only a little if it still laggy cause prolonged oc can damage your hardware since ray is compact phone...
I would recommend using superleggera. It's very light. I do not encounter lags nor FCs while playing. Good luck choosing, mate!

I honestly have no idea what exactly is the problem but I cant play games like vector smoothly on ICS..
On GB it works super smooth..
Also on the JB build it works really smooth but never had dt speed on ICS..
I even tried CM but in vain..
Can anybody plz tell me why so?!

The problem is that i am unable to play games on it.. most of the games crashes after they reach the Play.
i want to play games like FF6, Bus Driver Simulator, GTA 3, GTA Vice City, but they all crashes.
I know there's an application name Chainfire 3D but it is not for ICS or JellyBean.. If i try to use it , will it brick my phone ?
Is there any method to run these games on my phone.. Please Help.

Chainfire isn't for any phones running ics or above... Am not much of a gamer but it's pretty well known that games run better on gb...

High end Games requires high processor and more RAM..
so wen u play games overclock the cpu to 1.2GHz and stop all the background runng apps and remove the bloatware.. then they ll run smopthly without crash..

If you're a gamer, I'd suggest you to use GB. ICS is not good for gaming. Most of the games crash on .587. But still if you want to use ICS, most of the users say, Baseband .431 gives better gaming experience than. 587. So try flashing. 431 baseband. You can find how to in sticky.
