Hi,
i bought a screen protector for my 3D and the thing is, on whites, the image gets full of those pixel colors (green blue and red). It happens also on other colors but not so notorious.. 3 of these screen protectors cost about 3€ so they might be of not good quality.. any reference on any screen protector that will "respect" the colors and keep the screen quality? where can i buy them? ebay, amazon?
thanks in advance

FLsuperstore.com , around $1.50 shipped. Looks and feels MUCH better than Otterbox screen protectors. Literally can't even see or feel that it's on there. Love it!!

Did you get a Matte/Anti-Glare screen protector? They are known to do that and its a drawback, but the positive is you get less glare.
Other wise get a crystal/clear protector, they will look just like the naked screen, with the same mirror reflection.
The zagg ones do that until they've dried or aged-----the one on my ipod was awful looking for a day or two until it just disappeared. If it was a applied with a liquid it might need to dry out a bit before it has its final look

Go with bodyguardz.
Re: matte screens. I have the bodyguardz version and don't have that problem. If you look closely you will notice in white backgrounds. But not with other colors. I'm happy with it. Plus they offer free replacements.

It was the same with me in the beginning with the matte screen protector...but it seemed to have worn of lately with some use. I'm guessing the material on top of the screen protector isn't as sufficient as it was on day one
Another vote for the clear ones from flsuperstore.com
Easy to apply and once it's on, you can't even tell it's on there.
I'm using an SGP screen protector on my og incredible and love it. It looks like they dont have one for the inc 4g yet. I emailed them and they said "As of now, we don't have any definite plans to make screen protectors for the HTC increidible 4g LTE. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future"
That doesnt sound good. in the mean time, I'd like to use something. I'm thinking of getting a screen for a different phone, whatever is closest and using that. Any suggestions for which phone?
I am using a skinomi screen and body protector and its really nice and easy to install. I love it because it feels like there is nothing there and the touch screen is still very responsive.

Yeah i always put on steinheil screen protector, especially Ultra Crystal. It's the most clear and glossy one in the market. And, I bought it from Amazon, and it's FREE SHIPPING. I got lucky to get free shipping without Amazon prime account. http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-In...713Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1342583785&sr=8-4
Once I put on $0.99 screen protector from eBay and I peeled off screen protective film? thingy, which covers both front and back of screen protector. After I peeled off that plastic thingy, it was very clear almost unnoticeable. I thought it was so nice for 99 cents, In fact, there was no screen protector. It was two piece of screen protective films putting together. That was the clearest screen protector that I've bought.
i know i am in the minority being a fan of zagg, but it looks like they are gonna be making a screen protector

Cheap screen Protector in ebay
To day I found 5x screen protector in ebay just under 10 bucks.
I think it will be good and it is anti glare as well.

I let the Verizon salesman get me to buy their overpriced protectors (3 for $15...) I really don't like it. It's as wide as the screen, but long enough to cover the Verizon logo on top, and the softkeys on the bottom. It has cut outs for the camera and the light sensor.
What I don't like, is that despite the best efforts of the Verizon salesman (and he did try his hardest, there isn't a spec of dust under the cover) the edges don't stick. This is because the phone's glass curves to the edge. This leaves a tiny bit of the protector that isn't stuck down. Not only does this look bad, but it's also going to attract dust and pocket lint to get in there.
Furthermore, the screen protector also detracts from the aesthetics of the phone, it shows finger prints much more than the gorilla glass 2 does, and it adds a very slight color tint.
I think I'm going to remove it and just go without.
If you like Zagg then xtremeguard already has the DNA protectors available. Current sale means they are only 5 bucks a pop. I have used them before and was very pleased.
That is strange I got the Verizon screen protectors and don't have the issue ..however mine isn't edge to edge .. did he give you some type of aftermarket or does it have the droid stamp on it ..?

The Verizon protectors not covering the entire screen (not edge to edge, only the part that's illuminated) is a deal breaker for me. I'll just keep shopping around.
Also, I have nothing against Zagg. I've used Zagg on two devices and they held up great without any of the (noticeable) orange-peeling effect I've read about. My only big complaint with them is the outrageous price.

screen protector
The ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Screen Protector is the best!
Are screen protectors even necessary? I owned my DROID X for 2 yrs without a screen protector and it looked as good as the day I bought it. That only had Gorilla Glass 1, it looks like Gorilla Glass 2 is supposed to be thinner is all, and I assume the same strength.
I am not for one going to put one on. Besides I love how silky smooth the screen is, and despise others with their sticky rough screen protectors.

Because of the curved edges the display has, I doubt there will be ones that will cover the whole thing, unless they come curved... I don't use screen protectors, but for those that do, that's most likely all you will get.
The more I use the phone, the more I'm thinking about just skipping the screen protector this time around. It seems pretty substantial on its own and the great, smooth feel is something I wouldn't want to lose (along with the clarity of the awesome screen, too).

Do any of you guys that don't have screen protectors on have any scratches yet? I know it is not supposed to scratch but that's not always the case. I currently have the Verizon one on mine.

Like I said above, I'm currently not using a protector and I have been shoving it in/pulling it out of my pockets and even dropped it on a wood floor (screen down) and no nicks or scratches...so far.

I just can't use screen protectors no matter what. Some of them have a haze foggy look to them, others feel a tad sticky, and sometimes I'll have the tiniest dust particle under the glass or just a small bubble around one of the edges. <<<---- Each, and everyone of these drive me nuts! Also the touch never feels the same, or as smooth. I don't know about most of you, but I'm very anal about my phones, and never had any glass damage, or scratches for that matter.
My final word.... GO NAKED!!!!!!

I work in construction sites a lot. And I use my flash light app a lot. I will sometimes lay my phone screen down above the ceiling. There is always metal shavings and chunks of cement up there and I do not have the smallest hint of a scratch on my screen. I have also dropped it on concrete and asphalt, still nothing.
I honestly think it is a sales gimmick.

I have a Gnex right now... went naked with that and it was a mistake. I have 2 or 3 small hairline scratches and I take pretty decent care of my phone. I dislike screen protectors but I dislike scratches even more.
i've had an old LG Xenon (text phone) i had a cheap case on it which i ended up destroying after repeated drops on concrete, I've even cracked the screen a little on the side with the case and screen protector on, but after all of that i went naked anticipating an upgrade, but i've dropped it off a 2nd story porch straight down onto concrete with screen face down and not even a scratch. I think that the screen itself will survive alot of impacts, it's the rest of the body (as well as the corner of the screen) that can't take the damage.
I'm going no screen protector, but will put a case on it once the one i want comes out. I dont believe it makes enough of a difference to counter the cons of it.
Hey people, just wanted to do my part and contribute.
Xtremeguards https://www.xtremeguard.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=droid+dna has the Droid DNA wet apply screen protector on sale for $1.50 (originally $15) with free shipping. Just enter in code "70OFF1" at checkout. I bought 3 of them. Hope this helps someone. I haven't personally had experience with xtremeguards but I've used xoskins, another wet apply option and it worked pretty well.

Just got the phone this week and have babied it to prevent any scratches. Low and behold just looked and I have 3 different scratches already. The screen seems ridiculously weak considering I keep it very protected and was waiting till I get my screen protector in the mail today.
How are your screens holding up?
I check for dead pixels and scratches out of the box, then screen protector instantly.
The protectors from verizon mar easily with the spen, but I would rather it be on the protector then my screen.
I noticed three very short (3mm) scratches after a month and bought a copter screen protector. I threw that away after 2 days as it got marked by the pen and made small text impossible to read. I now have a cheap hard plastic screen protector that works well and does not affect the resolution.
No scratches here...been using it for 3 weeks with no screen protector. Never had a scratch on my gs3 either and I used it for 5mo without a sp.
^^^
Ditto. No scratches, no case, no protector.
No scratches or screen protector here either, and I just keep it in my pocket (with nothing else in the same pocket) when I'm traveling.
Hate screen protectors. I have a few tiny scratches but when the phone is in use you can't tell.

My screen is as clean as the day I got it. Of course I am unwilling to go without a screen protector on it for feel of getting a scratch regardless of ho good Gorilla Glass 2 is. SGP Steinheil screen protectors.
I got a tiny scratch after two days. I'm pretty OCD about scratches. Even though I can't see them when the screen is on, just knowing they are there annoys me. I was able to find a decent screen protector that doesn't effect resolution and actually filed in the scratch so I can't see it any more. My previous 2 phone never had screen protectors and I never got scratches. I know the Note 2 has a much larger target area, but I'm still surprised at how easily the screen got scratched. I'm not a huge fan of screen protector, but hey, it keeps my brain from hurting so much.

Which SGP protector did you get? Ultra Optics was to rough feeling for me and didn't with well with the S Pen. The Ultra Crystal feels and looks great, but scratches way too easy, especially from the S Pen. Trying to find a happy medium.

I just got the Verizon case with a kickstand and the next day while on the phone, it fell from my ear, hit the inner wheel well of my car then bounce off the ground about 3 times before sliding to a stop while the screen was down. Not a scratch except on the case itself.

MobC Protector
I went for a screen protector too since I scratched the Thunderbolt just before getting the Note 2.
I'm using the MobC Oleophobic protector from Amazon. I had a finger print proof screen protector on the TB (before I took it off and scratched the screen), but it was very matte finish. The MobC is clear while being oleophobic, so I like it.
The S-pen leaves marks right away when using is, but they fade pretty quickly.

How would a screen protector affect resolution? That doesn't make sense.

No, it doesn't. I've got about 0.5 mm of uncovered AMOLED on each side.

Thanks for the replies. Wonder if anyone is going to just make a damn glass screen protector that curves so it fits this screen. I'd spend a decent amount of money on that.

I voiced the same thought in another thread. Seems like that would solve quite a lot of TGSP problems considering more and more phones are being made with 2.5D glass.

Could you possible elaborate on which particular brands of screen protectors you got? You know, for research purposes
No, but I was there when my brother and his SO both put zaggs on their piXeL and they did end up with the slightly exposed screen on either side. Very very poor work by zagg. PeehPs even more troubling was that they each had multiple protectors simply not adhering at the edges, which was frustrating. They went to Verizon to complain and were given free exchanges since the verizon folks said lots of people (of all phone types) had been having these exact issue with the zaggs recently. Definitely not touching them myself.
[2-Pack] Google Pixel Screen Protector, Dmax Armor [Tempered Glass] 0.3mm 9H Hardness, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fingerprint, Bubble Free, Ultra-clear - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
Pixel intelliGLASS HD The Smarter Galaxy Glass Screen Protector by intelliARMOR To Guard Against Scratches and Drops. HD Clear With Max Touchscreen Accuracy. - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
[2-Pack] Klearlook Google Pixel 9H [Scratch Proof & Ultra Clear] Tempered Glass Screen Protector - This was the closest to covering the whole screen, but still not quite. Might have just stuck with this one if I'd realized the others were gonna be worse. Still would have bugged me though.
Google Pixel Screen Protector, Fosmon 3 Pack [Full Screen Coverage | HD Crystal Clear] TPU Sticky Coating Screen Shield for Google Pixel - This is not a tempered glass protector. Because it's so thin it was impossible to get off it's adhesive covers without touching the sticky side, also impossible to get it down centered and without bubbles because it was too thin. But it did cover the entire screen properly.
Google Pixel Screen Protector (5")[2-Pack], ILLUMI AquaShield Full Coverage Screen Protector for Google Pixel HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film - I bought this one the other day but it has not arrived yet. Figured i'd give the wet apply one a try because I can at least center it and it should cover the whole screen. I'll have to see how it feels though.
I put on a wet-apply protector the other day and am quite happy with it. I went with the Skinomi MatteSkin.
I've used matte protectors before and never stayed with them. I'm finding I really like this one, though. It has a satin kind of look that goes well with the black leather skin and colored "G" logo (Slickwraps).
