Can someone edit the multitasking so that when you hit the button it has more options?
Ideas:
- make it have adjustments you can change in settings
- an option to have all apps show with a listed alphabetical or recent tasks option
- have current task in the list
- option to swipe away task and it actually closes the task completely
- ability to make the tasks smaller so if you have many tasks open you don't have to scroll through pages and pages
- make it also a task launcher so in one side there's recent task the other there is a alphabetized list like a contact list (except for apps) or the app: fast drawer
Anyone else have ideas? Also do you think this is a good idea too?
Thanks! Comment!!

Something really cool just hit the Android Market.
QuickDesk is a fusion of a task switcher and a home screen that is compatible with your current launcher. When you double tap the home button you are greeted with a separate home screen that is transparent and does not interfere with your currently running application.
It fully supports widgets and has a transparent background. It also has what it calls the Quick Panel that lists the currently running apps along with a count of their notifications.
It seems to work a lot better when you change the preferences to forcibly keep it in memory (nice to have a nice phone with ample extra ram like ours).
Can't provide a direct link because I'm posting from my phone, just search for it on the market. Enjoy

FAQ:
-How to enable Glovebox on MIUIv5?
Go to the app info and enable 'Show popup window notification' setting. Then restart the app.
-Got the old premium version (Ubuntu Phone Experience) ?
Send an email so you don't have to purchase it again.
-I bought the premium version, now is asking to purchase it again (using the same account)
Try to clear the cache and data of Play Store, then start Play Store at least once.
Android Settings>Apps>Play Store app>Clear Cache/Data.
If this didn't work contact by email.
-Why does the app need DIRECTLY CALL PHONE NUMBERS permission?
This permission is only necessary for Direct Dial shortcuts that might be added to the apps list.
-How do i open recent apps menu?
Swipe to the outside of the bar, without lifting the finger off the screen and selecting recent apps. Wait a sec to open recent apps menu. To close, swipe the finger back to the bar.
-Am i unable to install other apps while the app is running?
For security reasons android automatically blocks the installation of other apps while Glovebox is running, to prevent installations without your consent. You have to disable the app and re-enable it again after the installation.]

Can't upload the SS coz of my 1 MB remaining data (2G/EDGE)
ss updated:-
this would be similar to Alt+Tab on a PC - except you'd swipe left and right on the floating window... maybe add a top bar to the floating window so as to not conflict with apps that require left/right swipe to open menus, and then swipe that top bar.
i think that'd make the floating window mode 10x more useful than it's current iteration where it's a one time, one way operation.
another related function would be from this advanced floating window mode, as you're cycling through apps, users could then swipe up or down to close that particular app, thus removing it from the cycle.
Hi,
I'm using snapdragon version of Note 4. I'm wondering if there's a way to add app to Task Manager whitelist or exclude from getting closed.
Condition is, the app I need to exclude is a floating icon on UI and doesn't show up in recent items however the floating app gets closed when I do the "Clean all".
You can open recents and swipe down an app and press the lock button. Also go to battery settings> manage apps battery usage> select app> no restrictions.
I can see the apps that I've opened in recent app section even after rebooting the phone.
If the apps are using RAM to work why don't they disappear when I restart the phone?
The Recents screen (also referred to as the Overview screen, recent task list, or recent apps) is a system-level UI that lists recently accessed activities and tasks. The user can navigate through the list and select a task to resume, or the user can remove a task from the list by swiping it away. The list is persistent, means it doesn't get cleared on Android's boot-up.
Resume: As long as an app listed in recent apps isn't removed there, it gets shown there.
