I am trying to install the HTC keyboard on my x10 but all I get is FC after FC can anyone help?
Maybe if you reboot and in xrecovery or cwm menu, which you installed miui with,by selecting fix permissions in advance options it work properly,
You can use smart keyboard pro either because that is so good and usefull.

Tried that doesn't work so using perfect keyboard instead it has a decent vibration like the HTC keyboard

You can install an alternate market called blackmart, and downlod it from there. I'm using it and I'm really happy! Luck!!
I have the Sony Ericsson swiping keyboard from the new Xperia line, i flashed it from another ROM and it works flawlessly for me
I'm using the Swype keyboard for months now and I'm very happy that I bought it.
It appears fast when I need it, the layout is perfect and I stand amazed with its predictions (it seems to know exactly what is the next word I want to write). The more I use it, the more it improves itself, since it learns the words I write.
It's pretty easy to start using it. After the initial installation, you need to download one (or more) language packs (with the words of the language you chose). The configuration screen explains itself.

as black as night (or like the BlackFroyo themed keyboards)
Yes I get fc too. This happend earlier today when I flashed a diff multi-touch keyboard. The problem is that this is only compatible with 2.1. We need someone to port this to 2.2.
It's an app, so there should be away to do this without root, but this requires root.
This is for 2.2, not eclair.
Post 1 updated. Go to that other thread... i sesrched, but i thought it would be here... not the dev section.
text prediction (@ least in spanish) isn't that great compared to some other KB's but nonetheless this is a good sign of things to come
I stumbled on this this morning. I have to say, this is the best keyboard I've used in portrait mode. Not counting Swype of course.
I just installed V13 on my Mini Pro and noticed that some keys are swapped.
i.e. Z and Y. Has anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?
SOLVED
Disable Android keyboard in Language & keyboard settings

I figured it out. Once I disable Android keyboard in Language & keyboard settings. Everything works, z is now z, y is now y, / is now /, etc...
Don't know why I needed to do that, but it works
Thats great news

you can also follow what this member did, it fixes the key layout and you can use the android keyboard:

Worked for me as well. I'd rather use another keyboard than the Default Keyboard
It all started when i flashed my first rom MiniCM7 Pro - V7x http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116
I have a slight problem when ever I touch my mini pro screen it makes a slight buzzing noise, you can just about hear it.
I've tried a full wipe, full reinstall and ive installed all the other roms and they all making a buzzing noise, this never happened on stock ROM.
Can any one help me please? I can only think of trying to flash the stock rom back on and starting again, would this work
I am running mini pro GingerDX - v11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198941
Well I re flashed the stock rom through seus then re root, installed xrecovery and cwm and a custom rom. No more noise, problem fixed.

If you still want to use the other ROM, eg GingerDX, you should try turning off the sound... It's located on Settings>Sound>Audible selection deselect this one Audible selection
I thought I fixed the problem but I havnt, I tried what you said and it didnt work. Thanks anz way
