Ok guys so with a ton of reading and researching here's a little thing I was trying to figure out for awhile and finally did it so Im going to share a little guide. Now non of this is mine, I just follow instructions well
With all the Gingerbread talk/themes I haven't seen anyone here theme the stock MT4G Swype. I'm on CM7 Nightlies but I believe it should also work with stock MT4G sense since I pulled it from there.
Now before we begin I take no responsibility if this bricks your phone or make it burst in flames. This guide does need a know how to adb and have jdk and jre installed properly to sign the apk.
First we need the stock swype:
-I followed this guide from Marine6680

Now we need the Gingerbread Theme for Swype:
-I got the files from Marurban
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930306
-The file we need is the 2.6 v0.3 WVGA without Mic
Marurban's guide was kinda confusing and that was where I was having a little trouble. So then I found stone_ship's guide and helped me a lot.

I simply copied just all the keyboard pngs and left glow and wcw png stock. I still need to learn how to change the font color on the popup
After you have signed your themed swype.apk use Marine6680's guide to install it back to your phone. If your having trouble with this I will try with the best of my ability to help but no promises Enjoy!
Also Please thank Marine6600, Marurban and stone_ship for their guides to make this possible.
FYI, you do relize that if you are just replacing the images as you did, that it can be done in about 10 seconds using 7zip. You dont need to resign the zip, no Apk Manager or anything like that. And this isnt really a "Guide" but just a post with links to guides from other people. If you would like a "Guide on image replacement using 7zip" I will be happy to help.

Did you even read the OP? It clearly says he didn't do anything as he took it from other peoples stuff, it even has name of the people on it. I guess he just found it confusing from original doc so he wrote his own but IDK why he posted here.

When someone makes a thread with "Guide Theme" in the title, I kinda EXPECT A GUIDE. Not links to guides. Second I am in no way trying to flame this guy (like you tried to do to me) but let him know that there is much easier ways to achieve what he has done. Don't worry about it the guy is a troll and thief its just funny as he steal other peoples stuff then claim he writes them but when you did something and even properly named people where you got it from he try to bash you. No problem lets just start a new and please tell me how an easier way can be done. cause all the things I've read about theming swype was thru either metamorph (I'm still reading up on how to make one) and thru Ninjamorph which force closes on my swype. I never ran into 7zip like you mentioned. I usually just read and try to figure things out myself so please do explain
Im always up to new challenges and now knowing how apk manager sorta works I can deep dive on what I might or might not be capable of doing. its really an interesting program

Well you can still do it, just use the guide and download Marurban's gingerbread theme with the mic on it.
Seems like I missed the party...any how...what's the easiest way to get gingerbread Swype? I don't have my stock mt4g Swype anymore ...hehe!

i have decided to make one fully working rom for X10 based on CM7 2.3.4. But i have stuck on some parts becouse i'm trying to make rom in LEGO style. This from one rom that from other rom, etc..
So i need parts from your roms.. and it seems like that fight is about to break out. So i decided to ask in public "Can't i use parts of your roms?"
if you like i can call rom with your names like "J&Z with Wolfbreak on bad TRIP" or somelike that still in progress.

+1 if a new dev starting to work on x10 this is a progress and if no one sharing or say "this is my file dont us it " we will never progress, sharing is the way to have at final a fully compleat custom rom for x10

This thread looks more like making fun of one particular DEV than asking for help.... You could have PM the DEV rather than creating a thread in development section..
I have to say though still you guys do not have 2.3.4 (Without WLOD) even though working together, not making fun but just saying....

Sorry, I posted this in the General section first, not thinking. So, I will now post it here and hopefully get someone to help me.
I am new to Sense and still pretty new to Android itself with the Atrix 4G being my first Android phone. I originally came from iOS. I do not really like the stock look of Sense and have't seen any that I truely would like to look at everyday. How do I go about creating my own theme/skin? Is there just a program I need to download or are there certain files that I need to edit? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Yeah it's always a little rough in XDA about posting in the right section. You'll get the hang of it soon enough.
Anyway, take a look here: Install these as regular APKs and then check them out in the Skins part of the Personalize Menu.

If you want to theme it further, you can unzip the APK and take a look around there. The images are in there.

Hi, I wanted to use my currently theme on sensation rom on another rom, How can I do that? Is that possible? I know that we can change anything on theme via these three files, framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and twframework-res.apk and I know that it may not compatible on other rom, But How can I do that?

i am trying to do the same thing.. but still not successful. OMG this thread is 7 months old & not a single reply from any of the devs.
Right. And the devs do nothing but sit around staring at their screens all day until people post questions in Q&A, and the moment that happens they answer said questions within 5 minutes of them being posted.
Tell me...what is 'dev' an abbreviation of ? I'll give you a clue. It's developer. And developers develop. They make stuff. Stuff they're interested in working on. They don't actually sit around all day waiting for questions to get posted in Q&A (I lied), and the chances of a dev reading a 7 mth old thread with some request from someone who wanted a theme from one rom ported to another rom is 1 in 456^901234 (that's a really remote chance in case you can't work it out).
So...I have some advice for you. Port it yourself. Theming is basic compared to coding. There are tutorials around XDA and elsewhere, and funnily enough, the Themes section has a famous basic tutorial. If you can handle/get through this, you might just be able to port this.
If you can't, you're out of luck.

yeah i really bricked my evo 3d it only shows up on my computer as qhsusb_dload this error happened when i was trying to relock the bootloader to sell the phone now i cant sell it because it wont boot any clues or pointers anyone???

You can't. I see you have created 3 threads on that issue on different forums, so I think a mod can delete this thread if you want. And I think this should be only on the q/a forum so a mod should merge the thread from general thread into the one you have on q/a.

I'm saying, a moderator (mod) will do this for you. You can't do anything about it afaik.

But in the spirit of trying to fix a problem then add to it, i would advise that you go here and read the op and all instructions word for word and see if maybe the answer to getting you back up and going is in there. I suspect that this is the place to get the fix if the fix is something you can actually get.
A bit of advice. If you ain't made it you don't post it here. If there is a Question in the OP of your new thread then chances are you should be in the Q&A forum. Mistakes are honest and thats cool. This thread will be deleted or moved to Q&A by a mod and you will be able to live this horrible mistake down.
More advice unrealted to the location of the posting but more in regards to the content of the post.

What was the last thing that you did right before you discovered your problem? If it was "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" then stop posting throw the phone away and start anew with the next device. cause ye be burnt.
Details Details Details, if you think that it may be a random tidbit that's totally unrelated then make sure you include that in your DETAILS.
Tell us what instructions/thread you were following in your attempt to relock.
What steps worked and what didnt?
Hell tell us some other stuff it could be helpful in helping people help you.
Hope you can get it fixed, if not look for a broken screen device on ebay and do a board swap. Just make sure its got a good esn before you buy it.
And in addition, for all who posted in this thread, we all know that he made a mistake by posting in the wrong sections, but at least attempt to get him to not have to keep posting all over the place desperate for some help, by actually helping the guy. He said hes bricked. Well its got some function to it still so why did none of the people who posted to flame the guy actually take the 10 seconds to hit your browser back button and right click copy link on the UNBRICK thread then return here and post the link? Well I would attempt to get your pc fix fixed or use a buddys with a live cd or load up the needed files and stuff onto a usb flash drive and go to your local walmart or bestbuy or whatever and do some sneaky stuff and get on there demo pcs and wreck some sh*t. I used to get a kick outtta rooting display models at bestbuy and installing CM to them. Ya know for fun.

Hey OP this is the guy who can get you fixed up. I've been around the 3d dev section every day of my life for the last 2 years and he is one who honestly knows his stuff. Get on the offer while its standing. I got alot on my plate and I'm more instruction follower than instruction giver but I will look up your other posts a little later and see if I may be able to lend some help. Good luck I hope it works out for the best.
Next time you sell a rooted phone just flash an ruu or the equivalent and smile at the buyer. If they know about root and what it is they will be happy its rooted if they dont know then they will probably never find out cause they aint gonna be pulling no complex key combos to boot the bootloader to see your root/soff unlock/lock status.
