I was playing around with my new gtab and loaded Vegan-Tab Gingerbread edition and when I was playing with lockscreen I turned on gestures and some other lock rotate thingy... I figured out gestures and turned it off, but then the next time i turned it on it has this stupid slider thing that you drag across the screen and I drag it across the screen but it doesnt unlock!?
A little yellow arrow pops up and points from left to right to show you have to spin it, but it doesnt open? It has a little circle with a lock next to it, and i drag it to the right but it wont unlock !!!
Can someone please help me.. it has to be the default "unlock code" because i never input one !
You should be able to hit the menu button twice to get by the lockscreen.
Haha, you made my day.
Whenever I type using the on screen keyboard (using thumb keyboard, but happens with them all), I CONSTANTLY hit the status bar and the menu pops up. If I'm lucky I notice before i touch the screen again but about half the time i manage to turn wifi off, bluetooth on/off.... It drives me bonkers. Anyone also have this problem? Any solutions for it? Any way to move status bar to the top? I've tried making the bottom row of keys bigger in thumb keyboard settings, but i'm still doing it
Seems I can only find something for Honeycomb;

Not sure if there is any solution to lock the taskbar when the keyboard is up or not. I'd love that feature too.
Similar issue but with the menu button
I have a similar issue, but I keep clicking menu button with my palm (see picture attached). Anyone has the same issue? Any solutions?
Are you on a stock ROM? You can lock the status bar.
Sent from the matrix. (or my phone)

Click to collapse
Hide the whole task (notification) bar with Gesture Control
Also does custom gestures etc, but most useful is hiding the notification bar i think

EDIT-
Seems he released a free version of the HideBar tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28694868
so if you only want to remove the bar (and restore it) use this tool ... however he probs could do with the money support
Hi, I am absolutely new here and technically about android too.
Details about OS:
Sense 5.5 + 4.2.2 JB (Factory installed)
Things were good with my HTC One X+ for exactly 1 year.
Now it started giving problems...
First mobile got froze with notification window half dragged (when mobile was idle for nearly 2 Hrs), it won't respond to normal touch and keys. Power down didn't work too. Left it like that for 2 hours, then it allowed me to restart. After couple of restarts it became normal, almost. Now notification pull down won't work, with screen rotated - it works.
Tested with HTC tools and with ZTest, no touch sensitivity on the area where notification bar is.
Is it a HW issue or can be resolved by SW updates?
Please help me with this.
Digitzer problem, having the same.
Run HTC test app, it can only be opened by entering the dialer and typing hmm, *#*#HTCTEST#*#* I guess. Then there will be an option to draw lines where you touch. Swipe with your finger on your whole screen and probably a small area in shape of a rectangle at the top of your screen won't draw any lines.
Alternatively, you can go to settings > developer options and there is a similar option to draw lines.

Ran the test. As you said, it won't draw lines in shape of a rectangle where notification bar is.
So it's HW issue. I will check for Digitizer replacement. Thank you.
When i touch the screen sometimes appear a circle and its getting tighten then suddenly dissappear. I tried everything in developer options but I couldn't find out a solution. whats the problem? I couldnt add a screen shot because of new membership
Thanks all from now on
Is there any secret settings where you can diagnose or check the touch screen or hardware. These ghost touches are making me wonder if it's just my phone that has the problem.
I know Samsung has a secret menu that checks the hardware.
You can enable developers options, then toggle"show touches".
Yes I already did that, and the touch data shows that where two fingers touch the screen, the coordinates where those touches intersect, wil trigger virtual buttons of the app currently being used. It usually happens on the top half of the phone, especially if you swipe both fingers.
Pls verify if yours does the same, other wise I won't know if it's just my phone, or unless someone can give a touch screen test diagnoses that will confirm something is wrong with the touch screen
