I did a search and couldn't find anything.
Anyone else gett terrible results when recording video directly to the phone as compared to a micro SD card? Recording to the phone is terrible, it stutters randomly and this stutter is reflected in playback as well. Recording to an SD card seems to work just fine. Anyone else seeing this?

Hey everyone
I am currently on Trip's IRIS rom, and even though it is quite brilliant except for the 720p recording. No matter what I do, closing down every process I can, the 720p recording lags like no tomorrow. When previewing AND playing on my PC, it pauses on multiple frames for 5 seconds and then skips onto next ones. Any suggestions?
Get a better SD card?
But it shouldn't be a problem, I have a very basic micro SD card and it doesn't lag or skips too many frames when recording at 720p, and I'm also on Trip's ROM.
Nevermind
Never mind people, the camera was by default set to Infinity focus which was beating the living soul out of the hardware. I changed it to Continuous and its working brilliantly.
Dear All,
I have recorded a few videos in 1080p.
I have set the phone to save these videos directly onto my micro SD card (32gb sandisk class 4).
The videos, when played back on the phone, will skip. Other videos like tv shows work fine.
Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, is there a fix?
I got my ATT Note the other day and I've noticed that when playing any youtube video (either HQ or standard def on wifi or network) that the video plays normal then speeds up for a sec then back to normal. It's especially worse at the beginning of the video. The audio stays fine, its like the video lags behind the audio and the video speeds up for a sec to catch up.. The status bar shows the video is loading way faster than the video is playing and even pausing it until its downloaded completely doesnt resolve this.
Anyone else have this issue or?
Yeah I have the same problem with HD content on YouTube. Perfect example for me is the LMFAO video Sexy and I know it.
Don't judge I think the video is funny

At least I know it's just not my phone. I haven't tried it with that particular video, but I will take your word for it. (The song is bad enough lol)
I have noticed the same problem. But when I watch YouTube on the full desktop site in the browser using Flash, it is butter smooth. Even in 720p HD.

I noticed it as well. Quite annoying. I was starting to think it was just me nit picking.

Have you tried clearing the data and cache under settings/apps? Works for many apps having similar "odd" issues with behavior.
I think ever since the update the YouTube app has just been so buggy...HQ videos barely want to load anymore

Same thing for me, I actually play youtube videos through dolphin HD browser and 720p and 1080p play perfectly. There is an issue with the youtube app and I am hoping it will be resolved with it's next update.
I hope so, it's kinda embarrassing to show someone this amazing device and to have the video act like it does..
What do you all use for a video player? Anyone know one that can play .mkv files? I'd love to be able to yank a TV show from my NAS and watch it on the subway or something without having to convert or re-download in a different format. Most of my shows are x264 if that helps...
I played around alot with my Evo3D and never could get playback to stop stuttering (can't remember which video player), but I figured this more powerful phone might be able to...

Try DicePlayer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inisoft.mediaplayer.trial
It worked great for me on my EVO3D, haven't tried it yet on the LTE but it was the best by far for the 3D that I found.
Just downloaded it. Now I'm moving over some content and will try it out soon as I leave work. THANKS!
I'll update with the results later on.
EDIT: OUTSTANDING playback with DicePlayer. 2.2GB episode of Breaking Bad. Thanks so much!

Just curious, were you running your files off internal storage or an sdcard? I tried it off my SD card and actually had stuttering just now. I may just need to reformat and recopy it over.
Internal. Don't have an SD card yet...
Your question gets me to thinking though....it took like 45 minutes to transfer that 2.2Gb file over wireless. Should write speed be slow slow for internal storage?
Shouldn't be that slow but I would venture as to actually pulling out the micro sd card and using a card reader. That's what I always do much faster.
Edit sorry didn't see you had a sd card yet. Wireless itself is somewhat slow but this is flash memory should be fast.

Dice was only one that handled MKV audio for me. Stock player and mx both play 1080p mkv no issue, but without ac3 audio.
I have a 32gb class 10 msd card. Hdmi out worked fine as well with all players barring audio issues with all but dice

Interesting. I'm getting choppy playback on multiple types of .avi files. Anyone else experiencing any issues with DicePlayer? I've tried playing from the sdcard and internal phone storage. It starts stuttering immediately and continues throughout.
Ive been using MX Player with the Decoder setting at "S/W decoder (fast mode)" Works great with subtitles too.

I thought the flash storage would be pretty fast as well....I guess they use the cheap stuff...kinda like a cheap USB stick...it's nowhere near as fast as a high quality SSD...

I could have swore I tried mx player and the stock player on my Evo3D, and neither would recognize .mkv files... If I ever have a problem with Dice, I'll check this out.

So, I've done quite a bit of video recording with my LG V10. One of the main issues I've been having is when I review my videos, the audio is about a second or more delayed from the video.
I am on marshmallow 6.0, in manual video mode. The video resolution is 4k, 16:9, 30fps, with the high bit rate setting. I am recording to the phone's internal storage.
I'm wondering if others would be willing to try to recreate the problem by using the same settings I'm using and try making a few recordings and watching them back to see if they are in sync or not. Maybe record several minutes at a time.
I'd greatly appreciate any feedback. I'm going to attempt to try recording to a micro SD card to see if that affects anything, but I really don't want to lower the bit rate or the resolution. Thanks for any input you guys have.
Are you still having this problem?
I'm having the same problem, don't know how it started.
Did you get it fixed?
Ok, I have done some test.
It seems that its the memory card that is somehow to slow.
If you flip it to save the video on the phone, and the back to memory card, it suddenly syncs.
In your case, try to flip it to save on the memory card.
If you don't have a memory card, maybe set it to 24 fps, that worked for me too.
hope it helps.
