Sudden battery change after restart - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I had about 60% battery left then restarted my phone and went down to 25%. Any explanations?

This is well documented. There are a few other threads about this. It has to do with the way our fuel gauge works. Search around to find out more details.

ffs, search before posting!
"search" includes basic technique such as "read the damn thread titles on the first page of the forum you're posting in".
YOU POSTED A QUESTION REGARDING SOMETHING THAT ALREADY HAS ITS OWN DAMN THREAD ON THE FIRST PAGE!

[Q] re-enable Voodoo?

I have flashed "bionix19_JACS_OCUV_VOODOO.zip" and I want to use the Project Core. So I downloaded the "disable-voodoo" and flashed that too.
I opened up adb shell prior to flashing the disable and found "/dev/block/mmcblk0p4", meaning Voodoo is enabled.
I flashed the disable and ran the shell again to find "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2", meaning Voodoo is disabled. Linda tells me that things are being changed back during the reboot.
Then I flashed the Core, ran the shell, still seeing "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2". Then I went to the SD card and deleted the disable key file. Rebooted. Opened the shell and "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2" is still there.
What am I missing? Should I just use SetCPU and ditch the Core idea?
Thanks for any help and I have been google-ing and forum searching for quite awhile now.
Voodoo is not suppored in the Core project....and was this really worth making it's own thread in the wrong forum?
Which forum should I post this in?

I get it... Q&A... different forum. Don't worry, I found it. I'm so sorry I posted in the wrong forum.
What I don't know how to do is get rid of this thread. All I found was a thread requesting the ability to delete your own thread.
Ohh Boy is right... How dare some new guy post in the incorrect forum on his first post.
"Ohh Boy is right... How dare some new guy post in the incorrect forum on his first post."
It happens. They should make it a requirement to read all stickies (with Van Halen clause).
What are stickies?
Threads at the top of each forum that never down down the list in time. You will see a little thumbtack next to it.
It usually contains rules, guidelines, and FAQ's
Thanks for giving me a real answer. I was being wise ass and you gave me a genuine answer. For that I am sorry. I do know what stickies are but I didn't read them and now after reading them I can see why people like me can be irritating. Lesson learned. I also PM'd the moderator to remove this thread. (I learned that by reading the stickies) Double Lesson all the way. I'll be creepin' in Q&A, where I belong.

CM7 Flashing Question

Hey guys,
when flashed, do the nightly builds of cm7 completely overwrite and erase the preexisting information on the phone (apps, contacts), or does it simply apply any patches or updates without modifying user data?
Thanks

Might work better if you posted in the correct section. Or maybe even the CM7 thread??

Yea you know I'm not quite sure where the mods have been but it's been a bit of a free for all around here. There is actually a general and q & a section on here ....I mean, there is a post in the development section that says:
[ROM] cm7 nightly Discussion.......
What does that even mean? At first I thought it was a new rom but realized it was someone who actually posted a discussion thread in the development section when we have a whole section devoted just to general stuff. If I was jt reading through the nightly thread my blood would boil over the amount of useless BS clutter.

Well the reason I didn't post in some thread is because you don't get notified if someone replied to your question... as long as the question is relevant what should the location matter?

This is the development forum. Questions are not development. This fact makes it irrelevant.

My apologies everyone. Can a mod please move the thread to the correct location? If not, then just close it.
PS: Jt, thanks for your hard work- along with the other devs.

Its amazing how someone posts in the wrong section the thread gets at least 5 responses all of which were how the OP posted in the wrong section.
So to answer the OPs question, the only way it will remove your personal data is when you are in recovery and wipe Data. And if you have your Contacts saved to your Gmail account they will get restored when you wipe data.

This is why, "@_jt1134_Stupidity and poor forum moderation/administration reigns supreme. Nothing new from me will appear on xda. CC: @RootzWiki.
...and then people like you come along and answer the question anyways.
We are losing devs over this BS so stop encouraging bad behavior.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Dev forum once require you to be a recognized and registered developer in order to start a thread? Or was I just dreaming?

So you mean the bad moderation of answering the question and then moving the thread to the correct area after the OP has been told they posted in the wrong section, its so funny how people automatically thinks a new user is gonna know exactly where to post, considering how many posts that are in the wrong section are probably gonna be from a person who posts in the wrong section and then won't be heard again. But they are definitely never gonna be heard of if they post something and never get a answer, but all they get is criticism, seriously people, just let the OP know wrong section, but at least answer the question.
Or even better just merge all the sections together so there is no longer a need to say WRONG SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there forum Edicate?

Just a curious thought. But if you post a question in the Q/A. Then get hit with you can't do that. You should have looked more crap. That's great and all but i still didn't get an answer yet. If you wanna act smart and post that's Kool, but atleast post a link to where i can read more or to the open thread on the topic. There's no reason to act like a douche. I came here to learn.

yeah... there is this thing called ETIQUETTE: FOLLOW THE RULES YOU AGREED TO WHEN SIGNING UP ON XDA
RULE 1: SEARCH BEFORE POSTING
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

while on the topic of ETIQUETTE, you posted a question in the GENERAL section....what does the Q mean in Q&A?
Thought general was the junk section and that the Q/A question/answer section was phone related only?

Actually after the last thread of this nature, I tested the autosearch by mock creating a thread called cell standby. It did search but it was not just this forum. It showed all device forums and as it can only show a few, our initial thread was sufficiently old to not show in that list
At the time when I wrote this search didn't show me anything from Tapatalk...
sorry about this but where the information I am going to find.

Thanks I see I am not alone.
Please see here.

Generic question...I knew I could find an answer here...

Does anybody else have an issue where your contact photos don't show up in gmail app....and is there a known fix? Using CM7...
Oi, please put this in the Q&A Sub-forum and not the Development forum.
Why the hell do you think we have a Q&A section? :silly:
My bad...thought I was in the Q&A...forgot to leave this section before I hit Submit...if a moderator would move this, I'd be grateful....thanks for catching that, Guys!
Not only that, you also asked this same question already, in another thread. So a new thread was not even needed, in fact this goes against XDA rules.
Sorry but I'll have to report this thread for closure.
Wow we have a lot of self appointed mods

I don't think warning someone about posting in an appropriate section or about breaking the rules is moderating.
No worries...thanks for cleaning up after my mistake! I should be more careful next time.
