Is the touchstone charger compatible with classic nerd ics? Bought an extra 32g touchpad and I didn't notice the original charger was not on the box..... The OEM charger is $25 on Amazon, but the touchstone is only $39, so I'd rather go with it if it will work.
Thanks,
Justin
I have a TouchStone, and haven't had any issues. It has worked in all android ROMs I've tried. I tried the very first classicnerd, but not anything recent.
The TouchStone was the best TouchPad accessory I have gotten.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
i also have the touchstone and can vouche that it works with current builds of classicnerd as well.
Thanks guys!

NewEgg has the Kensington PowerBolt Dual Car Charger (Link) for $20 - $15 MIR. Kensignton specs (Link) say 1.0 A on one port and 2.1 A on second port. Asus on their travel charger (Link) says 2 A or 1.2 A with different voltages on each.
Anyone care to way in on the acceptability for use with the TF101?
Thanks!
Never mind did not see at bottom - Output (30pin/USB): 5VDC-3100mA
sadly I made the mistake of snagging one of these from OD when I got my TF at the recommendation of the sales rep...does not work as you saw at the bottom of the page
These chargers have only 5V on output, you need atleast 12 to charge the TF101.
The Dynex ultimate charger with the multivoltage is the only one I've found to work, I use one and it works great, cable is so much longer! I have it set at 11v
Not sure if anyone else is looking for a spare wall charger like I was or not, but I found one on eBay that looked the same as the OEM one, and I bought 2 of them so I could have one somewhere else at home, and also have one to carry with me when travelling. If anyone is interested, the seller was accesscables and the item I bought specifically is here. They arrived yesterday and both work for charging. They look like Chinese knock-offs as they have the same information printed on them as the original charger.
I've tested some of not original chargers, all they works fine.
There is 5V 2A output on original samsung charger, but to make charge it must have output from 0,85 to 2 Ampers (and 5 volts, of course).
This one from DX (sku: 48615 with european plug) works just fine, it has 5V 1A.
The ideal is 5V 2A - it make charge faster.
Would this charge fine on an iPhone charger, or a universal car charger?
I am currently using THIS for my mobile and tab ,really light smart
As this may be off topic, but what I did was is I went to walmart and bought http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-WPW2UWR-RCA-Wall-Plate-with-2-USB-Charging-Outlets-White/20976676 . Now I just take my charger that came with me as the spare
i am using the HP touchpad charger, i think HP was selling them for 5 dollar shipped
http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/ho...er-Supplies/FB341AA?HP-TouchPad-Power-Charger
i gives enough juice to charge the GTab
edit (no more free shipping now)
Nice find. When I sold my first gtab I kept the charger just to charge my phone with. Glad I did. Didn't know they were $20.
I use my iPhone & iPad USB chargers. Also a belkin mini surfer protector.

I use an Apple USB charger for travel, works without any problems for me. Only disadvantage is that its charging woth just 1Amper.

Can I use the charger for Asus Transformer 101?
I screwed up mine. Short of ordering one from HP i wanna know if someone has had any luck in getting unofficial chargers working with the touchpad.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Yeah...I use my gnex USB cord/charger on the round plug in base. Other USB cords will work so long as you use the touchpad plug in core. Hope this helps. Tc

Actually you can use a different base as well. I use my HTC one and it works perfectly although it charges slower. But an unofficial one should be good.
Grr...I can't post links...
I ordered a new charger off ebay for $3.50 shipped, just came in today. Worked like a charm. My cellphone charger (Nexus S) wouldn't charge it.
I haven't used this bad boy in like 2 months, almost forgot about it!
one thing for sure try to charge it under android. even blackberry charger works(smaller mAh) only its slower to charge
my asus transformer charger works with a regular micro usb cable.
That official TP charger is 2000ma, cell chargers do work but are only around 750ma. The touchpad can draw about 850 when in use. As such, you will want something over 1000ma if you want to use it and have it charge.

thanks a lot guys. The Samsung Galaxy Tab's charger is almost the same as the HP touchpad's charger (almost the same wattage; 2000mAh and 5V)
I am hoping it will work just as well.
The problem is that when i connect any third party charger to my touchpad it says use only HP touchpad charger and doesnt charge

Yes I have read this many times but the TP under CM9 charges better then under WEBOS
I can check if my spare Barnes & nobles nook charger works with the tp. (1900mah and 5v if I remember correctly).
If so I could ship it to you for free as I have no use for it.

HTC chargers work on mine under CM9. I've never tried under WebOS. But the HTC chargers put out about 1000mA so it will charge, just very slowly.
Sent from my TouchPad on CM9
my tablet ran out of battery and then my charger screwed up.
the puzzling thing is that now that its completely drained it does not accept other chargers. I know it does when its still running because i have used different ones to charge it while it was running but when its completely out it only wakes up if i connect it to an official TP charger
Any charger will work via cm9, but on WebOS it will detect that it isn't the stock charger.

yup got it
For example like a blackberry charge would charge most motorolla phones. Most HTC CHARGERS also fits some LG phones.......So the thing is i'm looking for other chargers that will also charge the Prime. I'm out of country and they dont have any transformer primes here so I'm wondering is their another device that also takes the SAME CHARGER as a transformer prime. Maybe Samsung Galaxy Tab?

i bought charger from dx. works well
Any suggestions? I would like one that has turbo charge like the wall charger if possible. Thanks

I got the one Verizon sells (red connector with flash light). I love it, charges just as fast as the wall Turbo charger. I picked it because I get 25% off accessories. The tech you are looking for is QuickCharge 2.0

Ah.. The case got in the way. I'm using it with my spigen's and it's playing nice with those.

How well does quick charge work on the one you have? It seems like a great charger.

I have the PureGear. Works fine for me, but I haven't done any strict testing or anything.
I like car chargers with built in coiled cable.

Well a couple of days ago I was on my way home from work and I was at around 30% on my Nexus. Out of curiosity I plugged the phone into a 2A Anker charger (which worked really well with my M8... 1%/min) and it said it would be fully charged in about 2 hours. I then plugged the phone into the PowerMod Quick Charge charger and it said it would be fully charged in about 50 something minutes. So I would say pretty well! My phone was fully charged by the time I got home (my commute is about an hour 15 minutes).

I have the Incipio QC 2.0 car charger, it works as intended for QC 2.0. I had the PowerMod one, but it was a little loose in my car outlet so it would lose power sometimes if you bumped it accidentally. There's another OP about car chargers which I meant to post pictures of my charger in. The nice part about the Incipio is it has a USB port so you can use your own cable. I tried the VZW which was nice, but I don't like chargers where I can't replace the cable if/when it wears out. The VZW one is also 35$ compared to $21 for the Incipio on Amazon with Prime shipping (thats what I paid for it) and you get a nice coiled cable for a good deal on there and still have money left over compared to the VZW one.
I originally had the Incipio car charger, but I had to return it because it didn't work in my car's charging port, for some reason (it worked in another car, so not sure). Also, The Incipio one was too large, as I'm used to slim car chargers that barely stick out. And while it's not a big deal, the Incipio one didn't come with a microUSB cable.
After a bit of searching, I found the Ventev Dashport Q1200. It's a little hard to find right now, but here's a listing on Amazon. From what I could see, this one was the only QC 2.0 compatible car charger that was also slim. It also came with a flat ribbon-style microUSB cable.

All official legit Quick Charge 2.0 chargers do 12/9/5volts. As long as it's listed on Qualcomm's website, it offers the best charging.
Bottom of page, Incipio is listed.

I rarely use included cables. I have extended cables that i route around the dash and a-pillar for a cleaner look. and the cost is comparable to other QuickCharge 2.0 car chargers.

I have this charger and I love it. It's very small and the cable is solid. Seems to charge my phone quickly.
I bought this today. I actually already have one and it's great:
