This is what I have done to get the newer version of CWM like it says
Download the newest CWM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1533697
Download fastboot http://androidroot.mobi/2012/02/22/i...sformer-prime/ and stick the new cwm in that folder and rename the file form the first download tfp_CWM5_androidroot.blob (INCLUDING THE .IMG)
Next open CMD and cd into the directory with both the .blob and fastboot inside
Reboot prime holding power and vol down till white writing comes up then press nothing untill it has three icons on the screen now press vol down (NOT UP) once to be on the middle icon then vol up to select it (I had to pull the usb out and back in)
Once the bar has finished you can reboot now go into CWM and make sure the version is CWM v5.8.2.0+ now:
wipe data/factory reset in recovery
flash ROM
flash Gapps
reboot
It will boot

if you are in CM9 that means, you have a rooted and bootloader unlocked atrix with CWM recovery. I will help you buddy...
PREPARE YOUR PHONE FOR FLASH THE ROM;
-make sure you have installed the drivers of motorola. It is recommended for your pc to recognise your phone when you connect it.
-(I recommend GT version, it is FAST and battery life is great! Better than EE.) Download the rom and the addons on the link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26657806&postcount=7819
-put the files in your SD CARD.( put the .zip files to your SD CARD, do not extract!)
-PREPARE yourself for the flashing
1) FULL WIPE
- https://www.dropbox.com/s/1tgt2yax88rp2mi/Moto-Fastboot FULL WIPE.rar <<< DOWNLOAD THIS.
-Power off your phone.
-open your phone in FASTBOOT mode. (press power button and volume down at the same time until you see 'Fastboot' on the screen, then press Volume up to activate it. Connect your phone to your PC.
-RUN the "Moto-FB Full Wipe.bat" and follow the instructions. (I remember that you should only press ENTER )
2)FLASHING ROM
-Power off your phone and POWER ON with POWER ON+VOLUME DOWN again.
-When you see Fastboot, Navigate with the power down button until you see ANDROID RECOVERY. (I think you should press 7 times to power down to see, if you pass it do not press up to go back just keep pressing vol down to see it again.) When you see Android Recovery Press VOL UP to enter the recovery.
-navigate to 'install .zip from sd card' with using vol up or down then press POWER ON button to enter.
-'choose .zip file from sd card' and power on button to enter again.
-find your Neutrino2.8GT.zip file and press power on!
-It will install in 15-20 seconds.
-then install the ADDONS by following the same method. (install zip from sd>choose zip from sd>default camera apk(that was the one of the addons.)) You may install all of them or some of them, depends on you. But just install them all
-after you done, reboot your phone by selecting 'reboot the phone' in the CWM recovery menu.
-ENJOY YOUR AWESOME ROM.
PRESS THE "THANKS" IF I HELPED!

The StreakMod menu appears, navigate to 'update using zip', then select the DSC_v2.0.zip file and do the same for updDSCv2.2.zip
When done, navigate back to the first screen, (back button), and select to reboot
While rebooting, again press both Volume buttons [Recovery Mode] and when entered the Dell menu, choose the first option to Factory reset
And then wait for a long time
Done, You have installed Android 2.3 and Rooted youre device!

GoodLuck!
Okay so i rooted my Samsung Galaxy express to jelly bean 4.2.2 using the method below.
but i cant access Samsung kies because it doesn't recognize rooted phones. So i was wondering if there was any way to keep the rooted features but go back to the stock rom? And if there is how do i do it and where do i get the file from?
Flash Clockwork Recovery
1. Download Express OUDHS CWM.exe.
2. Turn off the phone
3. Press and hold volume down and power to enter download mode (if this doesn’t work, press and hold volume down, power and home key)
4. Connect your phone to your computer via USB
5. Window ID: COM should be highlighted in yellow, this means your phone was properly detected
6. Press start and wait for installation
7. Disconnect your phone, recovery is now installed
Install SuperSU
1. Download SuperSU v1.25
2. Connect your phone to your computer via USB
3. Copy the SuperSU v1.25 file to the root of your SD card (make sure you have an SD card in your phone)
4. Turn off your phone
5. Hold volume up, power and home key to enter recovery (as soon as you see blue text on the top of the screen that read entering or booting recovery, immediately release all the buttons)
6. Click on install zip from SD card and locate SuperSU file
7. Select the SuperSU file and install
8. After installation is complete, reboot your phone
You will now have both custom recovery and SuperSU installed on your phone, which allows you to install custom ROM’s, which is the next step. (Make sure USB debugging is still enabled). Please note that these versions of CM10.1 and CM10.2 are unofficial builds, however are stable enough as daily drivers.
1. Download CM10.1(Android 4.2.2) or CM10.2(Android 4.3)
2. Download Gapps (Google Apps) for CM10.1 or Gapps for CM10.2
3. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and place ROM and Gapps files in root of SD card (make sure they are on SD card)
4. Download ROM Manager and reboot into recovery. You can also manually reboot into recovery by powering off your phone, pressing and holding volume up, power and home key.
5. Create a backup.
6. Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and dalvik cache (found in advanced)
7. Install the ROM from the SDCard
8. Install Gapps from the SDCard
9. Reboot phone and let it sit for a few minutes while it boots for the first time. It may take a few minutes, and this is only evident upon initial boot.
You will likely run into issues with non functional WiFi. To resolve this, after flashing the ROM, follow these simple steps:
1. Download this file.
2. Power off the phone.
3. Hold volume down, power and home button to enter download mode.
4. Press volume up to enter download mode.
5. Connect phone to your computer
6. Open Odin and flash the downloaded file as Bootloader (You should see a green box that indicates that the method passed and worked)
7. Reboot the phone and test WiFI
Why do you actually need Kies for?

I have a phone service for this, try it out will only cost £5 - Phone Service
so i m completely lost at what to do,i had latest fulmics installed,i had disabled neccessary pattern after boot option so never had to use pattern but then today on boot,it said unable to use fingerprint, please use pattern which i have sadly forgotten and cant enter phone because of it.Now i tried going into twrp but strangely its periodically blinking at its initial teamwin screen and its stuck there(might have gotten corrupt or something) and now i cant even enter that. What can i do?
Can you try this
1) can you reflash twrp using fastboot. Turn your device off. Plug into PC while holding volume down to enter fastboot. then visit https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/official-european-lg-g5-h850-bootloader-t3363040 and follow part 9. (simply, download latest twrp, put the file into your fastboot directory (I use minimal ADB and fastboot (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790)), open the terminal and type 'fastboot flash recovery twrpxxx.img' where xxx are other characters in the twrp img file.
You may need to flash superSU for Twrp to 'stick' - unsure though, best to be safe
2) unplug your phone, pull the battery and boot into recovery (hold power and vol. down until LG logo is displayed, then release power button and press again quickly - while always holding vol down)
3) once in TWRP, and if you can access it, go to the file manager under advance. Go to the /data/system folder. Scroll down and find the two files with the .key extension. Delete both of them (by tapping on the file and then tapping the Delete button). Then, delete all the files containing the word locksettings.
password.key
pattern.key
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
3) reboot your phone and fingers crossed
Hope this helps
I flashed an unofficial Evolution X v6.5 Rom For my Poco F1 today,
it was working fine but then I tried to Reboot into MY Custom Recovery( OrangeFox ) using the Advance Restart Option Exist in Rom.
OrangeFox Recovery Opening Image was Showing but it didn't opened, My phone shut down and rebooted again into the Same OrangeFox Opening Image and then shut down again.
It stuck into Recovery Opening Bootloop.
I tried holding the power button to reboot into system but noting is happening, It is showing same Recovery Opening Image and then shutting down,
I tried holding the power button + Volume UP Button, Same thing was happening Recovery Opening Image and then shutting down.
Luckily when I tried holding the power button + Volume down Button, It opened the bootloader.
So I thought Something happened to the OrangeFox recovery file So I installed the TWRP Recovery with My PC.
BUT Now It showing TWRP Opening Image and then shutting down. Same Recovery Bootloop.
Something( Maybe the Rom ) preventing me from rebooting into any recovery.
I should mention that I didn't installed any new app or anything, I just flashed the rom and then finished the Google setup.
I managed to shut down the phone by holding all 3 button for about 20sec.
But it's not charging anymore, if I plug the to phone to charger it start the whole Recovery Bootloop again.
Please Let me know if you know of any possible solutions.
I managed to fix that issue, In Future if anyone else got same problem in any phone, Then Follow this,
At First Hold all three button for about 25sec to shut down your phone,
at this situation your phone won't charge, if your battery completely drained then your phone might get hard brick, so shut down it at first.
Then download a stable & trustable rom and put that in SD Card or Pendrive( in this case you will be needed an OTG to plug the perdrive into your phone )
Then download the latest TWRP or any other Recovery in your PC. You really need the latest custom Recovery( 0 - 3 Months Old ).
I should let you know, You need to install ADB & Fastboot Drivers on your PC to perform any normal rooting process on your phone, And Download "Android Platform Tools".
Open CMD in "Android Platform Tools" Folder
Connect your phone to your PC in bootloader mode by holding down Power + Volume Down Button.
Then Type in CMD - fastboot devices
To check your device is properly connected or not. If your phone is connected properly then CMD will show a random number and fastboot. If not then connect the phone properly and check the driver.
Then Type - fastboot erase userdata
It will erase all your internal and data.
Then Type - fastboot flash recovery "PUT HERE THE LATEST CUSTOM RECOVERY FULL PATH"
It will flash the custom recovery, IN above command after writing recovery give a space then write the full path or hold and drag the latest custom recovery to command prompt, it will automatically write the full path for you.
After flashing the recovery now you can open the recovery.
Now Open the custom recovery immediately by holding down Power + Volume UP Button.
Then Wipe the Old Rom and flash the new downloaded rom from SD Card or Pendrive.
AND there you go, Now you can reboot into your new system or recovery.
