I hear some people paid 150 for gal note with contract.. can you guys help me where I can possibly get them for cheap?
As it is right now that is the regular price. I think Amazon had it for $250.00 for some time not sure if it still that price . Anyone that got it for less was pretty much a fluke. I got it myself for $150.00 as an upgrade and they waived any other fees and this was at Bestbuy and I consider myself very lucky.

I'm in Charlotte right now. I've tried Best Buy and they said no because it's web only.
I paid the same thing. It's a standard price for newly released premium phones nowadays.
It's worth it. See if you can't try BB to price match Amazon.

It's definitely worth it! However, in addition to the 300 dollars there is tax, in states like CA they charge that on the full retail price of the phone.

my brother gave me his galaxy note for my birthday. He said that he exchanged his phone and got a $150 credit. He had to pay the remaining balance for an upgrade phone, $150. I don't know if you have a phone that you can exchange (he had an HTC Vivid 4g for ATT). Thing to note, he traded his phone at a certified reseller and not at a corporate store. YMMV.

I personally purchased my note on release day from Sam's Club and walked out out of pocket under $300 and they charged me only $16 activation fee, no clue why. Sam's Club only charges tax on their sales price and not tax on the "full" price. I did a 2 year agreement and they transferred my unlimited data plan. Also I love my note, I've practically given my girlfriend my tablet, though it's an Adam so no big loss there

Feel my pain, I paid $688 with tax Got it early couldn't wait for my upgrades in May. But I figured I will get 2 for $600 in May with my 2 due upgrades. Give one to the GF and sell one for $550 on Craigslist and make most of my cash back that I paid outright for mine. In the long run it will cost me roughly $100 bucks to have it 2 1/2 months early. Worth it to me. Can't stand waiting.

You guys are lucky. I'm with t-mobile and i was so close to getting at&t just for this phone but with 4 lines i would go broke with at&t. So i bought mine from craigslist for 500 bucks, but worth every penny. :d

We all know AT&T now has it for $199 on contract, $549 outright.
Amazon shows it as $150 for a qualified upgrade. The phone page is down, but you can still add it to your cart and order it.

I was thinking about doing this too... So, say if I were to buy it from CostCo at the 2-year price, would I be able to return it within its 90 days for a refund along with terminating the plan early (with no early termination fees of course)? So if this does happen, I should be allowed to buy the Prime, after the return, for the 2-year price, right?
I'm asking this because I was under the impression that, before 90 days, CostCo only held returns/refunds for the handset itself, and not for the 2-year service plan. And that AT&T were the only ones who could offer a refund/cancellation of a 2-year service plan, in addition to the handset, but this would only be before 30 days. Is this true?
Walmart's in store price is going to be 148.88 , but their website is listing it as 164.99 for qualified upgrade. But none of the local Walmart around here have received any of the phones yet in store. I'm going to try to get best buy here to price match.

I am going to call the cell phone kiosk at CostCo before I head in to get clarification on the actual terms.
The Prime announcement is on the 11th, and is within AT&T's 14 day return policy if it comes down to that. I will report back with what I find out.

None of the WalMarts in the area have it. Best Buys aren't open yet (11, same time as AT&T store).
Sam's Club doesn't have it, neither does Costco.
I'll go to BestBuy and see if they price match WalMarts, if not, I'll just go to an AT&T store.

You will need to call 611 and get them to reinstate it. You will probably have to push, but from what I understand they will do it. Eventually.

Just a heads up for Amazon - if you buy through them and cancel before 6 months is up Amazon hits you with an ADDITIONAL $250 fee on top of AT&T's ETF.

ive been with gayt&t for the last 10years. wont be leaving anytime soon, its one of those comcast-like situations. dont like it, but cant go anywhere else. anyway, i guess ill just eat the cost and head to the corporate store :\

I understand ...... someone else said (no confirmation on this but I would call and double check) that you have to keep the SAME PHONE on the SAME LINE for 6 months. Not sure how they could verify that or if it is true.

How did you get them to price match is there an ad i can print somewhere?
I just spoke with someone at CostCo Wireless. He has no idea when they are getting it, so buying it there is not an option for me, but I was able to get clarification on their return policy.
They offer the standard 30 day return if you just flat out don't want the device, with no penalty regarding your plan, and your "upgrade" can be rolled back, so same as an AT&T store.
For up to 90 days you can exchange your device for a new one if something goes wrong with yours. After 90 days you are dealing with the standard 1 year warranty through AT&T.
None of the other retailers in my area have the phone yet, so I am heading to my local AT&T store to buy it.

Hey! I was just checking on the Amazon price and they added a new incentive!
If you add a Hot Spot to your service at activation you get a $100 Amazon Gift Card. I don't see any fine print stating how long you have to have the Hot Spot feature. For what I was looking at it costs $20 more per month so even if I keep it for 1 month that's an $80 "discount" on the phone. Brings it down from their current $200 to $120. And I don't think Amazon taxes phones and there's free 2 day shipping.

I did the Amazon 1 cent deal. It's real. No tax, rebate, shipping charges, nothing! They actually charged my card .01! It's due here tomorrow. And unless there's a rock in the box, I'm prolly gonna like that deal.
I also got in on the 1 cent deal from amazon wireless and waiting for mine as well, it runs til the 28th so if you want to save 200-300 bucks prob the best deal you'll get
Just remember, it's for new customers only. Will not work for upgrade.

I believe that's the best price by far. If you can wait for it to be processed and shipped, go with that. I ended up paying about $320 after taxes in store for mine, so you're saving about $70 through amazon.
With amazon you will have to pay $36 activation fee, so it's not that big of a savings. I still got mine from amazon, though.

OP, depending on your taxes, Amazon might be the best deal. Best buy has it for 239, but they charge tax.
I purchased from BestBuy and had then price match to Amazon's $249.00 price. Then I used a $50.00 gift card from a promotion back during the super bowl I happened to sign up for and had been holding. $199.00 plus tax (on the price I paid, not the real cost of the phone like at the AT&T store) turned out to be a pretty good deal. They did tack on the activation fee. I call AT&T and after some discussion, they waived it.

I called 611 on my phone to talk to Customer Service this past Saturday to tell them that Frys was selling the Note for $199 and they credited my account $100. I was just three days shy of my 30 day purchase date. All they asked me was when did i buy my phone. I didn't have to prove that the price had dropped.

I got mine at BB for 199.99 and this was with an upgrade. They price match to how much Fry's is selling them. But it wasn't that easy.
The first BB I went to didn't do it so I went to another BB and they tried checking Fry's website to see if they could find the ad. But finally after 2 hrs. I got my Note.
Funny story is that the BB that did price match had to send someone to pick up from the store that did not do the price match.
Thankgod Fry's had one store in Illinois. During their promotion I used it at local Best Buy..... 25.5 miles away or 0.5 miles over the BB distance limit.
Might be picking this baby up 2morrow... Price matching @ 229, $50 off from freedom choice, $5 certificate, and $100 dollar check I just found going through junk mail today dated from 2010 w/ no expiration date from Time Warner in my sectional's compartment chest(LOL!!) will cost me only $55 bucks.... I received my note from Amazon wireless on Friday last week. Setup is super easy. Just be sure you don't change your contract for 181 days or Amazon will charge you some ridiculous amount. The flexibility off ATT seems pretty good though. Go over your data for the month and they just charge for another gig at $10. I will tell you that I called after I ordered it and asked them to ship overnight as there was no option during the checkout to change shipping speed. They upgraded me for free. Really good service through Amazon. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT THOUGH. You'll see what I mean about 181 days.

I was able to get the guys at Best Buy to agree to price match the $229 price, even though it was technically against their price matching policy. Combined with the $50 gift card deal I had, it was fantastic. I just hope I can do the same when my other line comes up for upgrade next month!
I went into ATT today to grab my wife her own LG G2 and saw the price was $49.99 online versus $99 in the store. They actually price matched it in the store. I was kinda bummed that I paid $99 the week prior and they gave me a $50 bill credit to offset the price from my purchase. How awesome was that. So if you are looking to get this device $49.99 so should be reason enough for this beast of a phone. If you are within your 14 day window they may also give you the $50 bill credit. Not true. I would go to another ATT. My receipt proves they can do it. The LG is at discount and is not apart of the Online Only deals.

I just spoke to ATT, rep Christina. She said there is restocking fee if the phone was shipped to you, even if you ordered in store, and even if it is defective.
You need to ship the phone back with the prepaid label to avoid restocking fee.
I also placed my order today via same rep and hope to receive the phone by Friday.

Best buy has same offer on black friday. If you can't wait till then you can get it for $99 plus you get $50 e-gift card
Costco has it for $80 including accessories and free activation/waived upgrades in most instances ie. if you ask.
Don't forget, att currently has a $100 trade in program that i used to buy a pebble smartwatch cuz the guy was cool enough even though I didn't buy it there, just saying...
