[Q] Few questions

Hello,
I purchased my Galaxy S2 back in May and right now, I am running the following:
I9100XXKDH
I am from the UK and was wondering if a official upgraded firmware versions has been released for UK phones after I9100XXKDH? I can't seem to download the latest version from Kies as my phone is having trouble connecting to it. I have tried everything. Is there another way to install the official latest update?
Thanks.
Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 for the firmware you require. Then flash with Odin.
If you don't know what Odin is try searching the forum
KF2 probably latest general UK release but not all networks .
Odin does not install the official update that you get from the phone provider it installs stock Samsung rom .
Stock rom topic in dev section .

The latest official firmware for your device is shown as KE2 . You have the latest official firmware ..
You can take the alternative route and install stock Samsung firmware flashing with Odin .

Hi there new to the forum so if this thread is in the wrong place please move it for me XD.
My question is...
Just got an S2 of my mate. he has updates it to baseband I9100XXKI3 which he says is a new beta firmware. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware to the official uk release as i don't want to use beta as i'm not too tech savy?
Thanks for your help
Yes via\ this thread KI3 beta i would check that it may actually be a release now .
Baseband is modem not firmware ..
Flash stock rom thread .

Personally i would stick with what you have many custom roms are using KI3 firmware no problem .
Easier to do that than downgrade .

[Q] How Can I Update To Ics Without Rooting?!

Hi Guys, After *#1234# i have:
PDA: I9100XWKJ2
PHONE: I9100XXKI4
CSC: I9100XEFKJ1
When I'm going to Kies it tells me that my firmwire is the latest and i have 2.3.5!!!
Can I have the ics on my phone without rooting?!
Somewhere before i had read that i can change my phone region to other that had ics upgrade, but i don't know how to do it,
and if i do it, the kernel that i have it will going to be change automatically, and the gingerbread will it going to be cyanogen??!
Thanks if anyone can help me with this!!!
Just find the thread with stock firmwares and flash a ICS one using Odin.

YES flash stock Samsung rom via Odin from first post general or stock roms post dev section .

To complicated for a noob try spooffw from the market .

Think you are very confused kernel is part of the firmware cynagon is a custom modification not official .
You would be far better off reading the FAQS and GUIDES and not bricking your phone .
