This is a buzzkill. Netflix needs to stop being lazy and make it work on ALL Android phones.
I'm FAR too lazy to flash a GB ROM just to watch Netflix. LAME!
Posted file doesn't work for me ( I'm in bamf 2.0-5, mr2 radio, imo 3.0.1 kernel). Just says " application not installed".

I work for Sprint, and a customer came in with a Transform that had the new Market. I said "You downloaded the new app huh?" And she was bewildered, she said it was just different one day. So it is being pushed slowly?

It just amazing that they release an update that doesnt work... Nevertheless is weird that they tested it and then wait for people to complaint so they can suspended after releasing is like saying screw u people ... We deserve at leas a replacement of equal or greater value phone that works.. we r in a contract with them and completely sucks.. so i am running das bamf forever 1.1.6 with sense 3.0 and with a front camera fixed and a voicemail fixed and gingerbread so im happy now that developers not working for verizon and htc are awesome and better than them and they care about us and take care of us.. xda .. rootzwiki... I don't think HTC tests. I could be wrong, but that leaves all of the blame of Verizon testing.
I don't think Verizon tests that thoroughly either tbh. They have too many existing phones receiving updates, as well as too many new phones coming out which need to be tested. Verizon is prob too busy testing the Vigor and Nexus Prime to be worried about our "old" Thunderbolt.

They used to test thoroughly. In the last year or so though, they have completely dropped the ball. I am guessing they changed their department for testers.

HTC surely tests their side of things but presumably hands it off to VZW. Whether VZW modifies the s/w or not, who knows. I would think it's up to VZW to check things like voicemail notifications though and not HTC's responsibility.
Here's a poof poof pass moment slap Verizon hands and just get it from HTC then Verizon can put the bloated ware on their app site for us to download if we want. This craming stuff down our throats is getting old .want voice mail notifications down load it.
Any other gotta have download it.
We paid a lot of money for something thats locked right out of the box.

OK we will see how this goes...
This is nothing special, its a Stock, Rooted, and Updated. By updated that means that I updated all the apps that Verizon/HTC didn't also ODEXed them. I also removed some bloat but nothing that can't be downloaded from Google Play. This is directly from Verizon's OTA that I personally pulled from the phone. I have updated the graphics drivers thanks Snuzzo. Yes I added my Hosts file lame right (I know some of you like ads sorry)? I also unlocked the locked bookmarks. Think thats about it.. this is how the ROM (if you can call it that, not sure) should have come from Verizon.
DOWNLOAD
EDIT:
I also need to add that if you are coming from GB and you are S-ON this is probably not for you. This will not flash the radios. It will flash the kernel if you are S-Off.
MODS:
Turbo Prop by Danutzz
Enabled hardware acceleration
Disable Debug notification
Added the HTC One sounds/notifications.
1% Battery (flash)
DOWNLOAD
Other stuff I forget?
As always ENJOY!

Haha I know for at least myself, it does help to know. There's a certain level or standard that I think people have when deciding on a ROM to flash and I don't think many would give it a run if they didn't know exactly what you did. I wouldn't want to flash something that I was in the dark about, and creating a detailed layout of your ROM and change log shows commitment and attention to detail that is reflected in building said ROM.
Oh and we do love screen shots as well.
Just my two cents.

Just left a corporate Sprint store issues with not making calls( NETWORK OF COURSE) anyways asked tech guy if he heard of update coming anytime soon. Sprint stores don't know a whole lot more than people here. And "update is coming soon" could be just a way of getting you out of the store.

I can come on here and say I got the update myself, and I'm the only one that Sprint is letting test it right now in the real world. It doesn't really hold water. Unless there's a press release saying that it's "coming" or is being pushed, there's no way to confirm this is true.

I received some update this morning. I had a message popup which stated that my update was successful. I do not have check for updates selected either. I never was asked if I was ok with the update, it just did it on its own. I am rooted with meanrom 4.8. Quickly looking, I couldn't see what it actually updated. All the software seems the same.
