I know the AT&T version of the SII is the closest to the european model. The only case I find attractive is the genuine mesh case:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGOGthJy_ZE
Any idea if this case would fit the AT&T model?
Thanks!
The International version specs : 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.49 mm
AT&T version : 126 x 66 x 9 mm.
You really don;t need a case for this device. Its so slim and the back cover is readily available if one screws it up. Mine separated from removing it to switch out batteries. Then again I don;t use screen protectors either. I like hoe slick it is and the glass is really hard to mess up.

I agree gorilla glass is amazing I beat up my captivate. Only reason for me to get a case is if said case has a kick stand to prop up phone for movies

don't do it
The problem is that case leaves the corners exposed...I bought one for my international i9100
I bought the following...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Genuine-Galaxy-S2-i9100-SII-Mesh-Hard-Case-NEW-/180723707360?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a13f8ede0
I dropped the phone on the floor. It hit the corner and CRACK no more display. Beautiful case though...
The Official Mesh case is the only case I want to get for this device and I don't know if they will make an AT&T compatible one... It would be very nice if they did.
just chiming in..
got the black mesh case for my AT&T model.. doesn't fit..
so close but no cigar. It really is a nice case though!
Mesh case that fits i777
I have all of the following mesh cases.
These do NOT fit the Samsung Galaxy S2 i777 (AT&T):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/190577180423
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0056G07Z6
This one kind of fits:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/180715368559
The fit isn't exactly perfect, but it's good enough. The texture is really nice - slightly tacky. The nice thing about this case is that the corners cover a little more of the phone than the other ones do, which should protect it a little better that the other ones. Just make a hole for the second microphone near the top, and you're good to go.
EDIT: The above case develops a crack with a few days within a few days of use. I cannot recommend it.
This case does fit perfectly:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320701889899
but, the top and bottom of the phone are fully exposed, and there is really no protection for the front. If you want a case to prevent scratches to the back of your phone, then this will work. If you want a case to protect your phone when you drop it, this won't protect your phone in the most vulnerable places for damage - the corners.

Looks the same as the eBay ones. But you say it does fit? As in the entire rim of the phone is in the case without one side being favored?
Just curious because I love the mesh case but this one for the i9100 does not fit my phone (ATT version)

I don't understand how one mesh case can be a different size from another. I have the international version and it fits perfectly. It doesnt set in the case without a tiny bit of force, it snaps in and is a perfect fit.

I don't think they are differnet but the dimensions of the att version and the international version are slightly different. Also.. Im not the only one who is not seeing a perfect fit. Even the distributer that I bought it from confirmed it doesn't fit right.

Yes, entire rim fits in and stays in almost perfectly. It's made for the international version, so the fit isn't exactly perfect. For the price it will work until a perfect one comes out. I'm a perfectionist. Most people would probably think that this thing fits just just fine.
I haven't dropped it yet, though, so I don't know how well the case will stay on the when dropped. But it is a very good fit.

The two mesh cases that don't have a metal name plate on them are slightly different. Look under the speaker hole, and notice that one has mesh holes all the way across, and the other one doesn't. You want the one that doesn't have holes all the way across the bottom row of mesh holes below the speaker hole.

dude.. where do you get the "right" GS2 case with the "right" mesh holes??
because mine doesn't have the name plate, but has mesh holes all along the bottom and definitely does not fit correctly!!

See post #7 above, the last link. You bought the one that doesn't fit. The other one with no mesh holes across the bottom of the speaker hole does fit. Look carefully, and you'll see the difference. I just ordered another one off of ebay last night for $2.50.

alrighty.. I seriously don't think there is another case out there this nice.. so, I'm gonna give this one a shot, despite it clearly saying it is compatible with the i9100, and not the i777 . But.. i have holes under my speaker button, so you might be on to something.. I'll order later today- and let you know when I get it.. thanks again.
ugh.. and they don't have it anymore
This is considered to be a row of holes below the speaker hole right. Cause this one fits perfectly.

So I was searching for a replacement case because I'm really unhappy with my poetic slim case. I was searching on Overstock and came across this swivel case, and im in love. I've seen one similar for the ipad, but did not know one existed for the transformer. It leaves access for all ports, has a hard plastic back covered with that fake leather type feeling material. The transformer can rotate 360 degrees in the case as well as stand. The case does not add much bulk, but protects all sides, screen, and back. It closes with an elastic strap. I'm really happy with this new case!

Yep, I have about the same case, I purchased mine off Amazon. It's superb. My only complaint is that it's somewhat easy for the TF to fall out of the grooves when you have it propped up. Still, works great for what I wanted.

Yes, very good case. Most case has cut opening on the corner and the tablet will dent if drop. This case covers all corner and it is very solidly build. There is the two and three groove version, get the two groove one. Mine holds the tablet very well and doesnt came off easily.
We just received ours and I could not be happier. It's exactly what I wanted out of the case.

I have a question about this case. Can you charge the device with the case closed?
on the overstock link it says that it has cutouts for everything...they could just be saying that though

yes! I dont know why it didn't occur to me that it would just swivel to the side with the charge port

Thanks for the heads up on this case!
I have a couple questions. How easy is it to remove for those of us who have the dock? Also if you fold the lid back how flat does it lay like if you were to read with it?
Interested, may buy one.

It is pretty easy to remove the case. It holds the tablet very securely, but is easy to take out. And the lids folks back 2 ways. Either close to the swivel point, our in the muddle if the case. either way, it lays very flat.
Is it dockable? I only ask because the picture on overstock has a dock showing. If not its still a nice case for the price.

Not to bump an old thread, but is this case available with 3 angles instead of just two? How well does the plastic housing protect the tablet? I'm assuming is not removable like the RooCase as well.
Actually this case was the second one I bought..
I love this case... the TF is easy to put in it and remove it (while still being secure) and I dont own a dock so I cant say as to that, but other than it slipping out of the grooves sometimes its the best case I have seen... this is my new go to..
Are any of the cameras obstructed by the case? My original case I replaced (rooCase) had camera holes as small as those and the back camera looked like it had a circular vignette. The front camera only became affected when the case shifted a bit. Looks like this case would have similar issues, even though I love the rotatable aspect.

I currently use this case for my wife and I. It's ok, I recommend a different case. We order new ones from Amazon. Problem is it replaces battery cover which makes it very easy to come off of case. I constantly have it coming off the battery area. I ordered two different cases that essentially work the same I'm that instead of replacing the battery cover it wraps around the phone like a standard case. Than the flip portion has billfold style card holders and pockets. There are some there different brands like this. All are I'm the $40-50 range, but worth it as it actually protects screen when closed unlike all snap on's

Hey guys I came across these bad ass cases but now im having a hard decision on which one to buy. My concern is the flip ones because they ripp off easly as i have experienced this. So now im just nervous anyways please let me know what one appeals to you and why? Thanks. These are on the expensive side but if you think about it how many cheap cases you buy and only last you a short period of time it adds up. So for the price i need one that will take a while to kill itself XD

Can't say for sure if I'd get any. Flip design are cool in looks, but fall short in practice. The flip front makes taking pictures a pain in the rear. The first case pictured just looks cheap and bulky. The third is appears to be a snap on. I like what appears to be a finger loop on the back to help prevent dropping it on your face when reading while laying down, but I’m just not a big fan of the snap ons as I have had them wear out. Had these come along a month or two ago, I would have a different opinion, but there are far too many other cases out or being released to consider cases with such drawl backs. These are, after all, merely my opinions and it boils down to what I look at may be irrelevant to you.

I have the yellow and blue Masstige. I like it but I'm getting rid of it because the yellow has discolored already, the material over the snap has started to open, and it takes away from the slim form factor of the phone. I like the all in one idea, but I prefer to feel how slim and light the phone is.

I just got the Zenus capsule with the Spigen glas.t Fits like a glove. I almost got the portfolio styled case, but I decided against it because it limits answering calls, taking pics, blocks spkr, etc. I was using the the speck candy shell as an interim solution and I have to say IT SUCKS! I'm quite happy with the capsule/glas.t combination. Just my two cents.

Body Glove - Tactic Case for the HTC EVO 4G LTE
I saw 2 threads where people were going to try this case. If you purchased one would you recommend it? I did see them on ebay for $18.99 with free shipping.
I have a Body Glove for my Evo 4g and really like it.
I ordered one but it hasn't been released yet. They don't even have a picture posted on their site. I hope it lives up to expectations, as the pics I've seen are cool. Body Glove's cases are hit or miss, though.

Body glove has been a lot more miss than hit as of late for me tho. Anything from cheap cases that break after a couple days, scratching the phone, not fitting correctly or not locking and falling off to paint/clear coat rubbing off the first say.
Sadly, I wouldn't recommend body glove to anyone.

Got one with my phone Saturday. Fit is almost too good. Hard to remove without taking the plastic covers off the back with it. Also the cover scratches easy and is looking pretty old after just 4 days. I got the white one which was all they had available Saturday. Will be looking for a gel case soon. Buttons work alright though. No scratches on my phone from the case.

Thanks for that. I'm cancelling my order. Too much money to not be happy...
My Sprint store had the white ones on release day so I got one. Seems to work pretty good!
Sorry for the bump and double post, but I wanted to second that the body glove RIPS the top-back off of the phone when removed. Or it rips the bottom panel off the phone (worse!)
I like it, I just don't like removing it!
its really hard to take out and when you do it it will take your back cover out, i dont like this cover because it feels weak, i bought it @ sprint but already purchased a otterbox commuter to replace it,
I got this case at the Sprint store and have been pretty happy with it. The combination of the hard plastic outside and the silicone inside seems to offer a lot of protection, and there is a nice lip to protect the screen. All the holes seem to be in the right places and the buttons work well. The power button is a bit difficult to press, but I actually like this as it prevents it from being accidentally locked in my pocket (it only there were a way to disable the Sense ring lock).
It does make the phone noticeably bulkier, especially on the back where the case bulges out a bit (there is a 1mm gap between the phone and the case. Still, the overall package is no thicker than my naked HTC Hero. The added side thickness also means that the phone doesn't stand up as much when using the kickstand.
The store only had the white version, unfortunately, but since I was exchanging another case I didn't have much of a choice (it was that or the pink Otterbox Commuter).
I've removed it a couple of times and had no problems with the back cover coming off, but I was careful to follow the removal instructions (at least on the Sprint version, it comes with instructions telling you to remove it starting with the bottom corner next to the microphone, followed by the other bottom corner, following by sliding the top out). It fits the car dock well with the insert removed and with some minor adjustment of the foam pads.
I got the Body Glove from Sprint as well, and don't need it since I already had a case. It is the gray one. If anyone is interested in buying it at a discounted rate, it is never used and still has the original packaging. PM me if interested.

Seems like a lot of people missed this when I read reviews. I myself missed it initially.
http://www.shopandroid.com/body-glove-tactic-case/4A123A11576A.htm has the black version of the case for $17 today (7/19/2012) as their deal of the day.
Does anyone know if there is a holster out there that will work with the Body Glove Tactic case? I recently got a case and holster combo from my local Sprint store and I didn't check to see if the holster would work with the Car Dock Sprint sales and the case was too big to fit in the car dock even with the insert removed. The Body Glove Tactic case works great in the Car Dock, but I would really like to have a holster for it.
Thanks in advance.

I have one of these on my phone. It does scratch quite easy and takes the back off when you pull it off, but it does not scratch the phone or trap dirt and dust. other than scratching up i dont mind the case. I would much rather have that happen to the case than my phone.
