i am new to xda and i need your help with my S2 i777...a friend of mine bought it for me from us and i unlocked it using the code purchased from ebay..my problem is that i rooted my device to remove bloatware from the device and accidently removed samsung stock weather app(accuweather)completely..after that i unrooted my phone to stock stage as it was at the time my friend bought it but the weather app is no where to be found on my device....i tried to find for a solution to reinstall that app..i found the apk from here but when i try to install it gives me an error "Application not installed"..So,please help with installing this app back on my phone as my phone looks dumb without this widget and i really loved it..

Hi all,
I have a star a3 which I've had for about a week, I am having trouble getting market place to work and also getting rid of the chinese apps. I have read the threads and even posted in another thread but I have not got any help. I have rooted the phone but the qqmobile security is not allowing me full access to superuser and I cannot install apps. Does anyone maybe a back up of the original software but minus the chinese apps with market place ready to go. I'm on 2.3.5

I don't have a copy of the ROM, but i can help you out with a copy of google play and root explorer. Using root explorer you should be able to delete the security app along with all the other Chinese applications (I do have a list of whats safe to delete too)
I bought 12 of these phones, from 2 different suppliers and none of them had this qqsecurity which you are talking about so I am not sure exactly what it does or how to get rid of it. But I can point you to a 2.3.5 ROM for the star A3 that is also minus all the crapware you don't need if you want to go down that route of re-flashing the whole phone.
I would like to have this ROM. How can I find it?

Yea ive also got a star a3 and i cant root in the first place so how did you do it if i know it would be alot of help
As for marketplace try going into manage applications and see if there is google play + google play services if not thats ur problem and also one more thing my a3 was bought last year and it is 2.3.4 and it will not let me update on my friends phone you cam check for updates but here it just says up to date and since there is no pc app for it i just cant update
Stuck at Android Logo
Hi, guys im new to this forum, I have Star A3 android 2.3 and currently its rooted but now its Stuck at Android Logo and I cant get to recovery mode. Do any of guys know how make it alive again??? Pls your help is appreciated.
Hello to all members of this good site, i have a problem with this application, my friend today in school tell me about that application and i downloaded it free from google play product, when i installed it i run it, i have rooted my android already my version is 2.2.2, i started application and my friend telled me that i need to install driver when i install driver i run again but then i got problem, he just show me in second black screen and boop exit, i dont now what to do? I reinstall several times but nothing, if anyone can help me, please i want this application because i think i can play some games with Chainfire 3d that i before cant play. So then i need to update am i right?
So guys i rooted my phone today, a samsung galaxy s3 i747 running 4.1.1 and it rooted successfully. then i got rom manager and downloaded the paranoid android rom. i loaded the .zip file in rom manager and pressed ok and it rebooted. but then it got stuck on the boot screen with the paranoid android guy and i can't fix it or even boot up my phone. my computer doesn't recognize it either. i'm following directions from a site which i cant post cause i'm new (its called "android 4.1.1 jelly bean update for samsung galaxy s3 i747: how to install it" on the site ibtimes dot com) and will try to make it work that way and i'll let you know how it goes but if it doesn't work can anyone offer help?
i'm new to this so please explain in depth if possible

I'm trying for days now to flash my phone, but i'm getting nowhere. I rooted my phone of course, but that is all that i managed. The problem is that I can't find recovery mod for my phone. I downloaded a few, but not one was working. If you have any suggestion, please tell me. I'm trying to flash my phone because it is bought in China and is not supporting Google aps, and also push notification won't work for aps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. If someone know how to help, I'll appreciate it.

I have a problem and am hoping you guys can help me out! I've rooted my mobile, Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 using the help of XDA forum. Later, I tried to remove the Samsung default apps using Root explorer and ended up deleting one random app which is now causing the issue.
Now I'm not able to install any app in my mobile, however I am able to use the existing apps properly. But, if I update the existing apps I am getting an error message.
Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this and again install news apps in my mobile? Any steps to resolve the issue is highly appreciated!

Follow the guide in general forum on how to flash with Odin, download the latest firmware for your country from sammobile.com. Factory reset after flashing.
