Play store My Apps - HTC Rezound

Has anyone seen on the market app, when you go to My Apps, a sidescroll page available to see all apps you've downloaded, even the free ones? Normally after a wipe, I get a few of the apps back from My Apps, but have to remember most of the ones I really need.
On Saturday, I was away from home, and was considering doing a wipe to update to Cleanrom 4.1, but wasn't sure I wanted to mess with redownloading apps. I went to the Market(Play Store), clicked on My apps, and got a 2 page option to see every app I have ever downloded, in a list on the second page. It was like the first page had all of the normal stuff that comes back, and a swipe to the left, came up with a list of everything.
I figured it was new, and was happy to think I could have list, and make setting up my phone after a wipe super easy.
I did the wipe, and now can't get it back. Was I dreaming? Or has anyone else seen this?

I just manually downloaded it and installed. It's on DroidLife somewhere...
Here it is: http://www.droid-life.com/2012/03/16/download-new-google-play-store-build-3-5-15/
Just install like any other app.

New Market...zzZzzzzZzzzzz

Is it just me or does the new Android Market suck. Don't mind the addition of content but the thing is just slow now. Once it loads, trying to go to my apps or other screens brings up the "Loading..." prompt and it seems to sit there forever. Never had this problem on the old one.
Plus, sometimes it will tell me apps need to be updated, I will go click on them, and no update button. Just "Open" and "Uninstall"?? It does it opposite too. Some apps will have an update but it won't tell me. If I go look at the app it won't show that an update is available until I click on it. Then sometimes I have to update the thing twice just to get it to take.
Granted this could be an issue with Juggs update.zip file, Titanium, or something else but I'll put my money on the Market app.
I'm runninga completely stock MoPho and I get the same market "false" updates. I think the MoPho market needs a serious update. I'm almost to the point where I'll only use appbrain. Hopefully this is on their long list of things to fix!
I experience the same issues, it's the app.
Yes
..i downloaded market older version but it always update back to the current version.....suks
Moto photon
The same thing happens on all android phones, not just the photon.
Just go into settings and manage apps and uninstall the update. If your rooted you can delete the market updater.apk

Happens to me daily. I just click update all and that solves the problem fora day or so
Yes new market is junk... i got an apk off 4shared and permanently replaced it via root explorer..Old market works like a champ loads fast way better

Android Market Issues?

Ok, so my market is slow, won't load and won't download anything. It keeps freezing on the "loading" screen. Google needs to fix this Pos.. seriously
My real issue is, all of a sudden, all my pay apps are trying to make me buy them again. When I go under my apps, and select an app I already paid for.. instead of saying "install" it has the price next to it.
Anyone else?
Are you a custom rom user? E.g. cm7? And what phone?

Yea I'm using Myns for the EVO 3D.
it's doing it on other roms tho.. I figured the market is taking a dump, yet again.
Do you use a task killing app? Free more Ram and load again, or try downloading the market.apk separate from forums, they might have a slimmed one like in nightlies for wildfire, I had same problem until my market was skimmed to work faster
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
It's all good.
The main thing I'm worried about is why it's trying to make me purchase my apps all over again..
Mine tried that a few times, reboot to try to load the licenses again, works for me after new roms get installed it decides I should buy again and reboot fixes, but don't fastboot or you'll probably have the same problem.

I get the paused at 'Loading...' issue.
Force stop and clear data and you're good to go.

Done that numerous times, even turned airplane mode off/on like I used to have to do when in some AOSP roms. I restarted several times as well.
I think it will download the apps now, but, I'm not buying them again... that's my main issue
Try the old market. New market is just buggy and unstable.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Yeah I've read that the new Android market 3.2 is pretty buggy, I couldn't even buy an app on there. I think market version 3.1.6 works better or just go back to the old market.
Indeed, the new market is extremely slow. Especially on 3G.
I've had more problems installing beautiful widgets after a rom flash than I can shake a fist at. Every app I've paid for on my list installs fine, but when I click install on Beautiful Widgets it just sits there, loading... All I do now is ignore it and go play angry birds or watch youtube and try again in 5 minutes, it'll work sooner or later > >
After I wrote this I made a hard backup of BW so I don't have to download it from the market anymore
ya the new market has a lot of bugs. The way I fix this problem is just to force close the market app. It usually fixes that problem. If it is still there after force close, clear data on the market app and try again. Hope that helps.

Anyone use Lookout Security?

Hey, this it's my first time posting and I had a question for you guys.
Does anyone here use Lookout Mobile Security?
I've seen a lot of screenshots of homescreens and I never see the Lookout icon on the notification bar.
Is it not needed or do you guys use
something different?
Thanks for your help!

Why do you think its needed?
Sent from my HTC PH39100
That's a good question. I guess I just downloaded it assuming that I need it. Is the antivirus useless then?
Also, it backs up my pictures/contacts and has the "locate phone" feature. Are there any other apps that can do this?
Thanks

Not sure I need one either, but I have BitDefender Mobile on my phone.

I used this thing for quite a while.....its great in theory. Here are the things that made me un-install it.
1) Could not locate my phone through GPS while indoors
2) website continuously said that message failed to be delivered to my phone while trying to make my device scream.....although I got every one of them and phone would not scream.
3) most importantly while doing batch updates from the market I would have to sit there and watch not only each app being downloaded and installed....but then had to wait for lookout to scan each one...which ultimately made the update process SLLLOOOOWWW.
I initially installed this just for the phone locator service but Wheres My Droid does that and it works great. IDK but maybe the paid version of Lookout is better but WAAAYYYY to expensive for a app that is technically NOT NEEDED.
I use WaveSecure... it does all the same stuff except virus protection. Everytime I've tested it, the lock has worked. I haven't tested the remote wipe feature. Also, I have it set so that once a day, it will backup all my pictures and sms and whatever else it offers backup for. That way, if I have to wipe it, I'll have all my stuff.
I used it for a while on my captivate. I stopped using it because when ever I had it installed the market would stall periodically. It would sit and say it was downloading something. Clearing the market didn't help, but uninstalling lookout would.
I use Google+ to auto upload my pictures, and SMS backup+ to back up SMS and call logs to my gmail account.
I never tried the locate, scream or wipe features so I don't miss them. I did notice WP7 included them built in, and worked well. Apple has integrated some now too. I think its only a matter of time before Google does the same.

How to you prevent google play upgrade?

I have the apk for the 3.4.4 market. I froze the market updater but when I install the Market apk within 5 minutes it updates to play. Is there a way to prevent the upgrade?
What's the big deal with preventing the update? Looks like exactly the same market with a name change to me. Just wondering what I'm missing and in no way trying to be a jerk.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
You dont want to stop the update because if you do, you will not be able to get apps or update current apps with the old market.
Anything else that relies on the newer market will fail as well. I doubt you could stop it anyway..
Install an older version of the Market and use Titanium Backup to freeze the Market Updater...but there's no good reason to not update.
The new market is great! LOL, it is pretty much the same. The only difference if you have a tablet and that allowed you to purches music through the app. Again looks pretty much the same. New name

personally the name change is annoying as all hell, google quit trying to program your brand name in my brain, when i want to buy and app or something i want to go to the market or to the store, not go to the google and pick up a new app.
every-time i'm in a rush trying to pull something from the app market i can't find the bloody icon because i'm looking for the market or in the old location on my app drawer, minor change i know but i have caught myself cussing at google when i needed to re-d/l my gps app after it crashed during a trip i as on a few days ago.
any chance of renaming the new app back to market without root?
Just use a launcher and if already do, just change the name duh..lol that's what I did ....

I also would like to learn how to get around using Play. The new terms seem to allow Google to read my sms messages and record the message routing. I don't think my correspondents would appreciate having their thoughts being part of Google's repertoire.

What conspiracy theorist cooked that up?
The only way to get around using Google Play is to not use android. What you're asking is the equivalent of saying you want to use an iDevice without the app store.

Memory needs > any update
I have a very good reason for not wanting auto-upgrades. Radio Shack misled me about the HTC Wildfire S and now I've got jack for memory. I have four apps installed, use only the native message app, and I'm lucky to have 25mb free. Anything less than that and the phone works as well as the Pony Express does today.
FWIW, Tandybot told me I could always install apps on the SD card. In theory, yes, but so few app devs code apps to work in that manner. Lesson learned.
kite edit: SNIP! No need for that kind of attitude around here, I'm afraid.

AOKP 24MAR2012 Virus?

Anyone else have an issue with this Rom downloading itself onto your phone? The exact version is AOKP_24MAR2012_i777r1. I downloaded it a while back to test, then uninstalled and went to another Rom. Ever since then I get these random downloads that start redownloading that Rom again onto my phone. I cannot cancel it or anything. I have to pull the battery or let it download, then delete it. WTF?
Is it on ure sd card

Did u use rom manager?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
I've seen something similar to this. Which browser was the download on? Get to downloads (in the stock GB browser, it's menu > more > downloads; maybe it's similar for ICS) and delete it from the list. Or, clear data of the offending browser.
I dont see the rom anywhere on internal or external (now that I deleted it again) I did have Rom Manager at one point. I didnt use it at all for Rom installing, only to occassionally use it to boot into CWM because the current rom I had did not have the extended power menus, like Recovery.
The other weird thing is an app called Rom Factory that seems to come from nowhere too, installed on my phone. I know for a fact I have never downloaded that app.
ROM Factory used to be called something else...can't remember right now...
Edit: Fruitcake Maker
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA
The other weird thing si that this is even a different rom than when it downloaded on me last time. So its not really something in the current rom Im running, as far as I know. I did have fruit cake maker before...
Every time I download something, this rom starts downloading again. Does anyone have any ideas? If I didnt have an unlimited data plan, I'd be really pssd!
What browser are you using? Did you try wiping the data as someone else suggested? I want to say I've had similar experience on GB after restoring the browser through TiBu. What happens if you just sit back and let it finish?

I've had this problem of downloads restarting and it was definitely the browser. I think the browser started the downloads on separate tabs and I never closed those tabs, so every time the browser opened, the downloads restarted.
Hmm, thanks for the info. However I always use Dolphin HD. I have used several different Launchers, not sure that would make a difference?

If I let it finish it just sits and takes up space. I delete it, and it eventually starts to download again.
