Wrong forum. Please post your questions in Q&A.

Yeah, prepare to be flamed, hard.
I would try looking at the stickies of this sub-forum. Good place to start.

Agreed on posting in the correct section (HINT: Q&A).
And just so the search engine actually provides valid results for those who do search, here's a thread with one method:

If you have a look in Xperia General, you'll find a whole lot of stuff...

Hi Chris, just a heads up mate - a better place to ask questions is in the X10 Q and A sub-forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=745) or in the x10 General sub-forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=615). This sub-forum (Development) is for the clever guys that are attempting to hack/mod/change the way our phones work for the better - we have to try not to clutter it up with general stuff.
To answer your questions, rooting means that you gain the ability to have root access. in unix/linux terms - this is a god-like user that can do anything. normally the user is limited as to what they can do but with root you can edit system files, delete protected files, anything you want. as i can see from your first post, you already have 2.1 installed so you will need to use the SuperOneClick root method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824788)
Good luck, and remember - dev forum is for devs only

Another rule is don't start threads about threads to ask about things already answered in the thread you've already read.

[Q] B&N apps & CM7?

Hello to all,
I have looked & googled and can't find a simple yes or no to this so I'm just gonna ask. Can apps purchased through the B&N store be accessed with CM7 installed? The way I understand it, books can still be read in the nook app. I've rooted several nooks, but never used any B&N stuff. Now my sister wants me to root hers, and I don't want to lose all her books & apps.
If the answer is no, she may opt to root but not install CM7.
Thanks for clearing this up for me.
Hello, welcome to the forum please read this first and here is your answer in the Q&A section.

[Q] Yarvik Tab467EUK

Hi !
So, it is the beast : http://www.yarvik.com/download.php?...7EUK/Productsheets/TAB467EUK_productsheet.pdf
It's about 250 Euros in Euroland (Belgium, Mediamarkt). I'm just wondering if anyone have it, and if it is a good deal for a tablet just to check email/internet/... and some dev maybe. I need some advice ^^
And second question, is it possible to root it with SuperOneClick or some other program, or maybe it comes factory rooted? (because the Play store is missing ^^)
Thanks you !

#1 thing wrong here:
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
#2 thing wrong here;
This is the General section all Questions and request for assistance belong in the Q&A section.
Please familiarize yourself with the XDA rules located at the very top of every forum section.
