[ROM] HTC Amaze Stock RUUs - HTC Amaze 4G

I have been given the go-ahead to repost this thread by Whiskey103 - mods, please contact him first before removing this thread.
I am not responsible for the leak of these RUU bundles - that's xboarders.
But, I feel it isn't for him to decide where they are available, as they don't belong to him. (Stolen goods are still the property of whoever owned them in the first place, right?)

Oh, forgot to add: You can get the actual image from these files by running them, and checking your temp directory (%temp% on W7), and browsing the contents of the most recently created folder in there (Just do an appropriate search if you're having problems). But, if you're just looking to return to stock - relock your phone, and run the executable.
As with all downloads - I take no responsibility for damage you might cause to your device(s) from the use of these files.

Any one can confirm if the RUU for Wind can restore it completely to stock?

tried the tmo zip file and it didn't work

I agree with you on this, It's not like people aren't able to get the RUU's. They just have to go to a different website to get it!!

Actually, I could not get the Wind Mobile RUU on the Android-Dev forums.

10 of the 14 posts we're ot. I don't give a rats behind what you think about Xb or how you feel about what happened. This was meant to be usefull for people who need the RUU, and not a bashing thread. If you want to talk smack about him or anything else, take it elsewhere. The next person to even mention him in this thread for any reason will get an infraction for OT posting, trolling, or failure to cooperate.

I gave permission to post links to RUU,s
So that means downloaded and reuploaded.
Not linked to someone else's server.
RUU, s are files from HTC, not xboarder56s work. He wanted the links removed pointing to his server.
We can't prevent other ppl to upload and share.
We can't check the source of the upload.

how do i remove Olipro-2.40 or relock the phone? -for warranty purposes

phones wifi started to stopped working therefore i went to the store to get it repaired. they ordered me a new phone but they want me to return that phone. how do i remove Olipro-2.40 to avoid warranty problems? i hope to show nothing that would void warranty.
warranty or insurance? if it's insurance, really wouldn't matter. Anyhow, No2chem has a relocker. Err, his site is down right now
http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/
I'll attach the file then.

well for insurance.
does it have instructions on how to do this? so basically using no2chems relocker it will remove the olipro-2.40?
thanks
-twe90kid
Yes, I had to zip it up to include the instructions. I tried to rar it first and then upload, but this site doesn't accept rar's. Then, I tried to just upload them separately so you would have the instructions. Max limit for pdf file is 19.5k, this is like 68. So, I went back and zipped it so you could have the instructions. Umm, yah...lol.
So to answer your question, yes, it has instructions and it will relock the phone.
i'm a bit confused here.
so if i relock, i need to flash to a rom that is 3.20 or higher?
I'm not exactly sure. but I dont think so? What rom are you on anyways? If it's going back to insurance, screw it. mes around with it.

Ohh Heavenly XDA Fascinate forums please guide my rooting and CWM install!

Hello....
So i found a guy on craigslist to trade my Droid 2 for the Fasicnate, drove thirfty miles to his house and listend to him freak out for 35 mins as i explained the benifits of my droid 2 and it being rooted and he seriously begain hyperventelating because he was dead straight afraid of being arrested........ I was about to just.... i dont know, the word run came to mind... Anyway.
WHat a beautiful phone, i mean it you guys have got something here, and im glad i added this to my growing list of android device's this is my fifth since my first love The G1.
Anyways,
I presumed and though i could install Cyanogenmod on it that was the immediant reason i got it, i didnt do any reaseachr and now know that u can but it runs really ruff and isnt supported... so.
I modded via this cyanogen wiki
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Samsung_Fascinate:_Rooting
i got all the way to the part about installing rom manager and flashing CWM,
However i went to do this (yes im rooted) and all i get is when i flash cwm and i try to reboot into cwm from rom manager to make a backup is i get to the samsung 2e recovery screen ..
A little more research i see something that i need to install or excuse me i need a program called odin, and i need the cwm packaged via this thread but the CWM package is no longer hosted...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788099
But, one im not completly sure that is what i need to do and two im seein what i think is a bunch of diff versions of baseband like D101 ect However i see on mine that the last of my baseband is Dh12 actually its all s:i500.04 v.dh12
SHould i be downgrading here? And its best to assume while i have rooted and taken the virginity of the G1, Eris, Droid, Droid 2 Droid X and now this beyond what i have described here is my limited experience with this phone.
Also bear in mind that this phone was factory reset when i got it, and was 100% virgin. It is now rooted but that is it. I really wanted to get back to "my roots" like my G1 and have a fully modable phone from kernal on up and was stoked to get this. But im lost and i cant seem to find much help else where, or what appears to be people telling me to reroot and i know that is incorrect.
Can you all point me in the right direction please!
My sincere apprecation and thanks for your help and acceptace of my sporatic typeing.
Don't have a chance to read this atm but before you get flamed..you should post this in the general or Q and A section instead..

Instructions.
First, welcome to the Fascinate forums. Second, please try to faimilariaze yourself with the rules here. This thread should have gone in Q&A and you are quite likely to get flamed for it eventually.
As for your questoin-- We don't have a fully functioning AOSP, CM6, or 7 yet but what we have is pretty close. If you can live without MMS, Camcorder, and BT headset then you should give one them a shot. If not, stick with one of the Touchwiz builds such as Nitro's Evil Fascination or Adrylnalyn's Superclean.
Nitro has linked you to all the necessary software. As for using Odin, please reference this thread.

Nitro always looking out! One of our most valuable members I might add.
I would strongly reccommebd flashing Nitro's Evil Fascination Froyo rom and perhaps one of his themes once you get that far. You won't regret it. Trust me. Super sexy and super fast and he's very friendly and knowledgable. Keeps all his work updated on a regular basis too. Good luck and congrats on your new Fascinate!

Got all the links you could ever ask for from nitro. Just install Odin on your comp and install the Samsung drivers. Then just go to the link for the older cwm and d/l the necessary file.
Remove battery from the phone and while you're holding the volume down.button plug the phone into.your.computer. it'll show a yellow android and say downloading.
Click PDA and choose the file you downloaded for cwm 2.5 and click start. Once it.says pass on Odin you're done.
Even easier, get one of the packagaes from one of these threads it includes adryns froyo rom, the modem for.froyo and the recovery. I don't feel like finding the link but if you get that it's easy its just one big file that you flash with Odin (the same.way you do with cwm) and when its done you got a froyo fascinate with a solid touchwiz rom from adryn

Hey Mortland,
Welcome to these forums. I am still fairly new here at XDA. Just to clarify and help you understand what everyone was referring to. I believe if I read them correctly, the rules about the Development section say posts and especially new threads in the development section should be limited to things that are directly related to development of a ROM, kernel, or MOD. This is so the development forum is used for improvements to existing ROMs, kernels, or MODS, or development of new ROMS, kernels, or MODS so the developers doing this work do not have to wade through a laundry list of threads or non-development questions in order to get the information they need. So if you have questions about development, or want to report a bug or problem you have discovered with a ROM, kernel, or MOD, then you come here and post. If it is a question on how to install or use a ROM, kernel, or MOD, then I guess it is supposed to go over in the Q&A section. I know it can seem kind of confusing, so the only reason for me posting is to hopefully help clear up any of the confusion. Hope this has helped, and definitely follow nitrogliceryne's advice and help. Good luck.
Mods and devs,
Sorry if this long post has cluttered things up even more. Just trying to help.

Can't we just request that MOD move it to the Q&A section? Especially since some good links were posted there? No sense being a wanker about it, except that it can be fun if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
I know it makes all the "experienced" users feel good to bash every new guy that posts in the Development Thread but something really should have occurred to the community at large by now:
If this is happening something like 15 times per day, maybe the thread title should be renamed to Developers ONLY or Not for Q&A (or something like that)...although I'm kind of guessing that it's an auto-naming thing that they have set up for each new device that gets listed on the forums, so that might not be an option.
Usually I'm not very into getting threads moved when they're placed where they are but this thread is just straight ridiculous. Hyperventilating, seriously?
We need to have some sort of HTML implemented that allows any user to click the button and flag the thread for being moved. Not flagged for being inappropriate or reporting, just flagged for need of being moved to another section.

Hey there guy,,, sure looks like you have been doing some reading and searching ,, just maybe not the most up to date information...
You need to look in this [Guide]

It has The answers, info and links I believe you need to get to over the hump...
Sometimes it may help to print those instructions and cross off steps as you do them,, to make sure you don't accidentally overlook anything

[Q] Newb in need of assistance/direction

OK so after reading and watching and reading some more I thought I could successfully root and then mod my i777 to ICS. Yeah, not so much.
I managed to get the device rooted using some help from GalaxyS2Root.com and using the 2.6.35.7_ZedomaxStockKernel. After that I thought I could install shostock2 however when the install started with CWM it goes for a moment and says "Installation aborted." I tried to do the same with cyanogenmod with the same result. Also wifi won't stay on, but have unrooted and everything goes back to normal.
I searched a great deal for this, but could find nothing. I would love a link to a thread if there is one. Do I need a different kernel? I feel like I followed the directions to a T. I really would like to have ICS and the super user ability, it if wasn't meant to be then that's fine. I can just unroot and wait for official ICS.
Thanks for your patience with my newbness. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated, and I am truly grateful that you guys are here for me to ask.
The links in the sticky at the top of this forum will help you out. Please read all of them carefully before making further modifications to your phone.
You should try to avoid using rooting methods that you don't find on XDA. Go here and grab the stock with root package, and use that to root. After that, download Mobile Odin and use it to install a kernel that includes CWM. Entropy's DD or Siyah will to the trick. After that you should be fine to flash stuff with CWM.
LOL

I'm thinking it has to do with this:
The sticky ATTENTION: AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II General Guide/Walkthrough/FAQ/hints and tips, that EVERYONE is supposed to read when they join XDA, instructs you to read this: How to Easily Root your device. Or watch the video walkthrough.
If you read the info and then decide you want to watch the vid to get another example by sight, something I believe most people would do... I know I did, you will be lead to a thread called ROM's, Kernels, Tools & "How to" I777 SGS2. In this thread the OP made multiple posts in order to separate the information while still giving you everything he believed you would need. In the second post he has a section called "<Tools>" under that it says "For all first timers" and under that it states "Excellent How To Video's".
The first video, credited to zedomax, sends you to the site GalaxyS2Root ...
Then you say that all the information can be found here at XDA ... Well, you are right, that information IS found here on XDA with an external link to "that site".
tl:dr
Not being a **** here just pointing out the reason people are using GalaxyS2Root. A thread started by Red5 (a highly respected member of XDA) includes a link to a thread made by another respcted member of XDA. At this point there is yet another link to another thread that includes the GS2Root link...
You follow the yellow brick road and it leads you to the wizard!
Personally I will only be putting Entropy or Entropy approved rom/kernel/etc. on my GS2 - His work helped me a ton with my old Tilt2.

And this is one of the reasons that shortly after moderator Red5 wrote the new sticky post with the consolodated information in it, I sent him a private message asking him to remove that video from the post, and to also update the OP of the "How to easily Root your device" thread by Jivy26 to include working download links. However, for whatever reason, he chose not to make the changes. I should have pressed the point with him, or our other moderator, but I just let it be.

Edit: Video walkthrough link removed. As far as the links in the OP from Jivy, are those links not working? Are there other links that are that need to replace the ones in the OP?
Edit 2: Nevermind, I see in the last post you reference to your signature and there you have a post with two working links for rooted KH7 Odin3 packages. Ill replace Jivy's links with yours. Thanks. I also gave you credit in Jivy's post under #3.

@Red5
Thanks for updating both your post and Jivy's post. Here are a couple of suggestions on the links in the "how to easily root" OP:
The items 1 through 4 are the same as and were copied from items 2a through 2d in the Guide "How to Flash Custom Binaries Without Ever Incrementing the Flash counter!!" The links in the Guide are all working as far as I know.
First, the only exception to this is that I can not get any MultiUpload link to work. They just seem to display a blank page in the browser. I don't know if they ever work sometimes or not. This means Entropy512's original thread for the rooting packages, which is linked to in item 4 has unusable links. I just added an additional link in my guide in item 2d to direct people to the download repository for alternative links. "...or if you have difficulty with the links in his thread, there are alternative links for all his files in the Download Repository toward the bottom."
In item 2, you left the MultiUpload link, but you could change it to this one which is in the Guide - "Download "SuperOneClick v2.3.1 - Automatic Driver Installation" from DepositFiles (or look for links here) and extract it to a directory on your hard drive using WinZip or a similar program".
In item 3, you included links for both the unrooted and rooted packages, but this would be confusing to new users since it is a guide on how to easily root. I think you should remove the non-rooted link.

i too made the mistake of following to galaxy s 2 root.com he said that the zedomax for the i9100 would work on my att version. which of course it didn't. please excuse my lack of knowledge as i have previously let others root my device. with the help of the brilliant minds here i was able to get back stock uckk6+root under build number, thanks again everyone, i bow to you. but still showing uckh7 in broadband version. is this an issue other than warranty and when device powers up? if so, not a big deal for me. but i am concerned that it will cause me issues with flashing roms for my I777. i have read for hours but some of this is over my head. PLEASE help! the other issue i have is that the graphics have gone to crap. i mean aweful. if i flash another rom will that fix it or is there something else i need to do? thanks again.

Baseband version is the modem version. Has nothing to do with your firmware version and has no bearing on roms or warranty.

Hi all,
im no longer on sprint. Is there anyone who can develop a rom or mod to make the View just like the Flyer Wifi only? this will get rid of the error messages every 3 seconds

1. Such a post does not belong in the development section.
2. Never ask if someone can develop a rom for your own needs.
3. Are you kidding? There are already several WIFI only roms available.

Ok Thank you,
1, I assumed development section could bring ideas for development, i apologize for posting in the wrong section
2. I am sure that I am not the only person who would be in this situation; (I would also be willing to compensate the person if I were the only person, never asked for anything free)
3. The rom that I did find that seemed to be what I was looking for says file not found on the download site, Which is about what every file I try downloading here today says, I assumed by the dates on age of the View there might not be anything currently avaiable.

Which android version do you want to use?
If the download links do not work you have to report it within the respective thread.
I got what I need from xda member kevinrocksman. He helped me a lot.turns out a lot of the Roms on here are no longer supported. I am now on stock HC Rom with jmz kernal overcloked to 1800. And it works great.
I guess what I was looking for was a stock GB sence Rom that allowed the pen to work on everything. And remove everything from sprint. But I found that putting it in airplane mode does the same. I did compensate the member who helped me. Wasn't looking for a free handout.

"Your device does not support software upgrading via kies."

I already searched this and there were only 3 results. All pretty much said "Upgrade from official GB".
Plugging my phone into Kies produces the error message "Your device does not support software upgrading via kies."
Not sure how to fix this.
I'm on completely stock, official KK6. Not rooted.
Kies displays
PDA: KK6 Phone: KK6 CSC: KK6
Trying to get the device onto ICS to return for warranty as that's what the warranty center suggested to fix my problem.
Help really appreciated, pretty confused
I was able to fix the problem. Here's a small guide.
Flashes bootloader. Dangerous. This is a roll of the dice. You could very well end up with a useless phone. Seriously. Take this into consideration.
Download:
AT&T official UCLE5: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/160521955/8de1076/I777UCLE5_I777ATTLE5_ATT.zip.html
Don't trust me? http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ search i777 and download the newest firmware; you'll have to register.
Odin: http://dl.xda-developers.com/attach...72c055d2/503d172d/5/8/1/9/1/3/Odin3-v1.85.zip
Samsung Kies(If you don't have i777 drivers): http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
0) Put device into download mode
(Phone off, NOT plugged in, hold vol up + vol down and while holding those two keys plug the USB cable from your computer to your phone.)
1) Unzip the Official UCLE5 file
2_ Open up ODIN, in the white box all the way to the left it should say something like
0:[COM5]

. Your numbers maybe different depending on what port your i777 is situated on.
3) In the bottom right section of the program you'll see buttons that say "Bootloader, PDA, Phone, CSC"
Click PDA, and navigate to your unzipped UCLE5.tar.md5 file.
Click start, let it run.

If your returning the phone for warranty, then why are they having you flash it?
dont matter ICS or GB. stock is stock.

To shut them up I told them my phone was running ICS because he was asking if i'd upgraded, because that could fix my problem.
I told him the phone was on ICS, so wouldn't it be a little odd if I returned the phone I claimed was on ICS with a GB ROM? I mean I doubt they check this and wouldn't care, but that message I'm getting in Kies is telling me that it must be detectable that my phone was previously modified.
I tried to upgrade to ICS prior to sending it back but Kies is junk. No matter what I did the phone wouldn't connect to it. The one time it did, it wouldn't go for the upgrade. So I sent it back with 2.3.4. I don't have patience to sit hours to get a stupid update to work just for them to wipe it when the get it.
If you flashed to stock without root and have no flash counter, I don't see how they can see you were modified. Unless you indeed flashed the rooted package or have a flash counter.
Removed.

I got it taken care of with this guide: http://galaxys2root.com/att-galaxy-s2/how-to-unroot-to-official-ics-on-att-galaxy-s2-sgh-i777/
I know people say not to use that site but the files they have you download are the same ones that are distributed on sammobile so I don't see why not.
Mod can close thread, question's been answered.
In case anyone finds this in the future:
Flashes:
This is DANGEROUS. Only do it as a last resort.
Anyway now I'm on ICS 4.0.3 and Odin is able to recognize my devices/ tells me I'm on the latest firmware.

But you don't understand, the site might be bad it might brick phones, whatever.
The guide works. The files have the same MD5's as the the ones on sammobile specifically made for the i777.
They have you download Odin and UCLE5.
But as you guys request, I'll just post a little mini-guide on this thread in case anyone else ever has this issue.

Please do not post a guide using his tools, and guide as a map, or his files.
We have more than everything he has here, better devs, and actual updates to the guides.
Not to mention we dont need another freaking guide. nothing is new, flashing is the same. if you have problems you cant read.

Ouch. No need to be so rude. I said in the OP that I searched and couldn't find. It's not that I can't read, but thanks for that comment. I'm sure it helped us both to mutually resolve the issue at hand.
EDIT:
They're not HIS files.
They're files available on www.sammobile.com.
You know? Samsung's website? The official one? Where regular users are instructed to download the ICS update from?

So what you're saying is creepyncrawly's thread about how to return your phone to stock (and this thread is even a sticky btw) does not contain what you need? Smh, do not post anything from galaxys2root or zedomax as he bricks phones and takes credit for development he did not do. Not to mention how he likes to take te developers files and then upload them to his own hosting site. Screw him.

It didn't as a matter of fact. I followed it. That's how I got back to stock unrooted GB. That's when I had the problem that I posted in the OP.
I don't understand why you insist on assuming that I'm an idiot and that I can't follow a simple guide. I'm sorry about linking to this zedomax guy's guide, I'll remove the link. Also remove it from the quote you made of me in your post.
Edit:
But next time instead of saying "READ DEM STICKIES" while flaming other members, you could take the time to READ the OP and understand the problem at hand.

Maybe YOU should start reading posts? Because surely if you did you'd know creepyncrawley's guide is on how to get to stock GB.

I'm just gonna end this here.
I actually had respect for you and Nick until you both decided to come up here acting like big shots flaming me. This petty argument isn't even worth a potential infraction/ban. I'm reporting the OP so hopefully this gets closed.

You do realize that you're the one who posted links to galaxys2root when you know it is against the rules here. I did nothing wrong by saying that. I don't see the big deal if it is going to warranty of it being on ics, I guarantee you won't have any problems sending it back with gb.
