EI20 Odin file and pit files - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone please link me or attach these files for the samsung showcase? My phone is completely bricked and I need these files to restore to stock
I need the full EI20 update flashable by Odin and the pit files to go along with it.
Thanks, much appreciated.

Bingo. Go look in HERE, and you'll find a (confirmed by myself) EI20 Odin file that'll get you back up and running. Follow Droidstyle's guide using this file instead.

I got a replacement and vowed not to hack this one.... But those files are tempting me Lol
Thanks for them can you maybe link me to some good mods for the Showcase?

CNA with IcyGlitch is fantastic right now. Nary an issue.

ICS zip

There's all this talk surrounding the ICS leak for the i9100. But, much to my dismay, I can't find a zip to download.
All I have found are .rar files. I'm looking for something I can flash with CWM.
Any help is appreciated.

It should be around 300-320 MB and contain a blob file + META-INF folder, so not sure about the dlpkgfile !
Well think I done it right, its only 9.34mb tho..
anyone willing to look at it here is the link..

that looks right... It is just a patch not the entire firmware... We will have to wait for ASUS to post a link the the entire firmware package on their website.

[Q] Need help fixing the boot image

I need a copy of the original boot image (the one before the boot animation) I used sgs boot image changer and now I can't get rid of the pic that's there. Any help would be great I also could use some instructions on how to fix this. I tried restoring the back-up and that didn't work. Also I tried searching for it and no help.

Never heard of sgs boot changer before. I don't really have an answer but have you tries re-flashing whatever ROM your using to get it back?
sent from last stand taking Bravo..
Please, PLEASE use a more descriptive thread title so that people who actually take the time to search and have the same problem can find the thread. This title is USELESS!
param.lfs - it's included in the return-to-stock thread

This is where i got the steps to root my note with ICS. Worked for me.

If you're on ICS all you have to do is download the superuser.zip from their site and flash through CWM.

Help yourself and learn how to search and read threads. All of the information you need is laid out very simply if you look for it more than 2 seconds. Seriously, why should people help you do something when it would take them more time to explain it than for you to search and learn it very simply yourself?
Asking for help is for when you run into problems that occur outside of following the simple instructions outlined in the various threads related to rooting and ROMing.

Download this file: http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
Use this CWM: http://thinkleet.de/cwm/cwm-touch-i717-120409.tar.md5
That is an Odin tar you flash as pda.

the superuser file download link is busted, my friend.
Thanks for posting those, but my REAL question was whether these are the same ones that are hosted on the rootgalaxynote.com website at this link:

Does anyone know where his files came from? How come there are no citation credits?

cwm problem

I am trying to root my Fascinate sch-1500 but when I download the cwm 4.0 it shows up as a .bin file and Odin is looking for a .tar file. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Thanks.
Are you using Droidstyle's guide to find the links?

I think I have a copy of it hosted somewhere. It may be in a thread under the general forum. There's a guide on how to install Gummy ICS and I think I hosted my own copy of CWM 4 there. If not, look for some other guides under the General forum

Thanks. I will look around but it just seems odd that a .tar would download as a .bin. I am new at this so I may just need to stay with what I have because I don't want to screw up my phone.
Edit: No luck finding a solution to my problem. No matter what I do the cwm file downloads in the .rar format and when I extract it goes to recovery.bin. I can't figure it out so at this point I am stuck and no one else seems to have ever had this problem. I keep thinking I am doing something wrong but I download files all of the time and I cannot imagine what I am doing to mess this up.
