First of all i'm not transferring files via usb (only if there are many small files), i set up an ftp server on my phone and connect to it via pc.
Brightness is at the lowest setting that you get with "disable auto brightness" enabled. And i even found that too much sometimes late at night.
But during that time i used maximum brightness for a short time as well to read a pdf.
Wifi is in my room. baseband 64 with very good signal reception (full bars) and 2g only. (data disabled)
I'm not trying to say that everyone should get the same battery life as me. In fact you should NOT get that much battery if you are using your android phone the way it was meant to be used.
And that is: the "always on" nature with updates and notifications etc.
What i'm highlighting here is that the version does not have a deep sleep issue at least. If it drains too much power while using some phone functions, that's different...
One twitter app that checks for new content every 5 mins would be enough to never let your phone deep sleep for example.
Anyway, after downloading an listening another 1.5 hour long podcast yesterday, here is the final picture before i charge my phone.

I will stuck to your rom till full working cyanogenmod comes for our neo v.
So i will be waiting for timescape widget for this rom.
I tried myself to install timescape widget via root explorer in system/app.
Widget installed but on opening it says: timescape libraries not installed

Agree with archijit ! It's either MIUI or this. MIUI has its own issues owing to porting from a different device ROM. For the time being sticking to this for stick feel at the same time power of new kernel and scrolling notification widgets. love it ... !
emannxperia
Seems no bugs so far.. will see if any more features we can suggest to make this one of the top ROMS.
More RAM in this ROM owes to the kernel i believe.
Anyone tried on Neo with locked bootloader?
Can i use it with .283?

Need some serious JAVA DEV help with:
- Hacked wpa_supplicant (from /system/bin) which will allow ad-hoc mode (to get wifi tethering to work)
- Hacked Camera.apk, to get camcorder working (or porting SECM camera to AOSP)
- Porting radio app to AOSP without using SEMC framework
some remarkable things have been programmed by nobodyAtall, in his rom [ROM] MiniCM9-3.0.1 [2/5/12]ICS 4.0.4/CM9 port for the Χ10 mini, perhaps people can get ideas etc from his rom (he for example ported radio app without a semc framework being present!).
His rom is based on an Xperia that is very similar to a ray in hardware, hopefully close eneugh

3g tweaks off by default (may cause serious battery drain, situational perhaps..)
Network settings less agressive (also to save some battery)
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000 -> To make it more battery efficient on low signal zone. (credits to hansip87)
*Cleanup in directory structure
*Cleanup of CWM updater script (looks decent now)
*More official ICS Libs
*A few more battery tweaks (from ICS stock hwconfig)
*LED default white instead of pink (See patches for different colors).
*Lower screen brightness = lower, high brightness = higher

I dont have a bluetooth a2dp stereo headset..
Only use a mono Parrot carkit... and that works fine.. so dunno.. if you can specify me what rom does work with your BT headset (FXP KA JJ).. i might be able to cook up a patch..
for now, you'll have to try it urself.. to see if it works..
KA and Hybrid have working bluetooth,
In JJ AOKP music via bluetooth does not work.
anyways i'll flash anyway eheheheh will report back to you for anything about your rom
cheers!
Really nice port....I have had it running for about 4 hours. Nice and smooth, a lot like JJs AOKP. So far the battery drain has been really good and I have been really using it (not much time in deep sleep). I needed to adjust some of the network settings in the build.prop and I adjusted the cpu (now running between 133 and 1401MHz and under volted). WIFI, USB connection are working great.
The only "thing" I noticed is that the video recording is still broken.....I know, not your fault.....
Thanks a lot!

..and start up tweak in rom control is working well but in jj aokp it doesn't work

Will give it a shot to get it running in this AOKP based on the work from KA17 from krabappel2548
btw this AOKP is not based on CyanogeMod, its built completly from AOKP source. It does incorporate some files that XperiaFree team built for CM9 (some libs).

Would you mind posting your build.prop, im curious. Also which app did you use to record video? Im looking into hansip's camera mod atm but curious what you did
Will give it a shot to get it running in this AOKP based on the work from KA17 from krabappel2548

I have attached my current build.prop. It is even more altered than before...and you will probably notice from the build.prop that I have supercharged the ROM. The supercharging makes it really snappy, it is more dramatic on the AOKP ROMs (this one and JJs) than on some of the other ICS ROMs, probably depends a little on the init.d tweaks. I noticed that a lot of other devices running AOKP are popular users of the V6 supercharger....
I also attached the altered services.jar that allows you to Supercharge to 100% (some of the OOM settings are adjusted so the launcher can be made hard to kill). The zip is flashable in CWM Recovery and was created by: http://android.mimic.ca
I have only tried the installed camera to record video. I was going to try Hansips camera MOD but that will have to wait until later. I tried the camera from KA15 or 16 on JJs AOKP ROM and it didn't fix the video recording...I've downloaded KA17.2 because I wanted to try the Aroma installer, but I am finding
it difficult to leave AOKP.....again, maybe later.
So far your ROM is working really great! Someone should tell Sirkay that the reported battery drains aren't because of his kernel.....
I did notice that if you try to exit the ROM by rebooting to recovery that the ROM hangs and won't reboot until you hit the home key...is that the way it is meant to work?

There's no magic in my build.prop....basically just turning back the 3G and GPS tweaks back to default....I think that it has something to do with my carrier or my location...because when I travel, the 3G tweaks don't make my phone over heat....just here at home, where they would be the most useful. Also the baseband doesn't seem to make a difference, because the story is the same with GB and baseband .42 and ICS (beta and official) on .64 and .70......the magic is whatever was done to AOKP to make the battery last sooooo long!!!!!!

Everything looks good, but if you're claiming this is a ROM fit for gaming, shouldn't you put up at least a benchmark or a compatibillity list for games? And isn't 19 init.d scripts a tad too much? Are you sure none of them are interfering with each other? Anyways thanks for the effort

ups i miss this one SS
Downloading !! Impressed with the free RAM part. Will stay with this if everything else is working fine Will give a short review in 2-3 hours :good:
EDIT: Installed and here is my short review
1) ROM is butter smooth and fast
2) 240 MB of free RAM right after boot (NightElf v10.1-lite exp kernel)
Bugs:
1) Network mode selection in notification widgets is not working.
2) After an hour of usage, I suspect deep sleep issues (Kernel?)
Data enabled notifications seems to be annoying, data disabled notification was better and enough.
Rom is smooth and fast and also responsive when i tried it. But lacks lots of basic widgets like clock widget and all that. Deep sleep defiinitely have issues for me. Using Nightelf Kernel too. I'd rather have no data thing poping up on my notification. Just wished have the walkman with clearbass preinstalled. In overall it was great and sleek. Would like to see more improvements on the widgets/design part ! Maybe aroma version with choosing of launchers Eg. Go Launcher EX, Holo Launcher, Stock.
OMG YOUR BACK PLS KIND SER make an ics version of this smooth with more more free ram plss
Sent from my MT15i
Looks nice would there be a problem if we would install it over .62?
and why android 2.3.7 i belive 2.3.5 would be best.

to tell the truth i have locked bootloader and so i haven't tried any custom roms with custom kernels.
I am limited to these roms with locked bootloader support.
For battery life a custom kernel could help but some tweaks.. DEFINITELY no.
tweaks will maybe improve performance and reduce stability but thats it.
TO save battery you need Undervolt for about 2% of battery.
Underclock to 100mhz Use smartassv2 and many other things
(Just to let you know there is an app at play store named game booster (it claims that it can help you with some tweaks to increase battery life when playing casual games or increase performance for High-end games
I'm working at v1.1 to make it more lighter, scripts doesnt fight each other, they are all for different thinks.
DeepSleep works perfect, check it by SpyCPU after a day of using this rom.
Rom have special script for Ondemand gov., soo us it for daily use.
Why should i make ICS version ? there are soo many ICS roms atm on forum, i don't like ICS cuz it's slow, laggy, eat more battery, and a lot game's doesnt work. Just for NEW numbers ?

May i ask a "silly" question.
what tweaks you have that make this rom ultra light and best for gaming.
Build.prop has no tweaks
hw_config.sh has no tweaks
So you mount with noatime
and some other non-gaming tweaks exist in init.d folder
What makes this rom a gaming one?
I mean YES it is faster than stock-sony-not tweaked rom but... what makes it good for gaming
And also sqlite optimization and zipalign on boot is bad.
You could add them with a sh script to run on demand in system folder.
(I am just curious)
did you even download rom and check init.d ? build.prop ? omfg, everythink is tweaked. Rom for gaming need RAM, a lot RAM and this rom give you a lot of it.

Base is stock .62 so ...
We could ask Hansip87 to edit semcphone.apk to let 2G/3G toggle work in this ROM. I edited semcphone.apk according to his thread link, but I'm a noob in this things. Toggle was working, but it has other issues such as Procapture camera was not working properly.

[/QUOTE][/QUOTE]
For all OTA updators
You mustn't update your ROM from 7.x to 8.x, also from (example) 8.0 to 8.2. You must firstly flash 8.1 and then 8.2. The same with 7.x: 7.x ---> 8.0 ---> 8.1 OTA ---> 8.2 OTA.
You can update via OTA Updater app only when your current version of ROM is only x.1 older. Example: you cannot update via OTA app when you are on 8.0 and the latest version of ROM is 8.2.
Only those OTA updating methods are proper and guarantee perfect ROM working.
Getting MD5 error in OTA Updater app? Try again by tapping on "updates"!
Updates for example from 8.x to brand new 9.0 probably won't be available via OTA due to big changes including AROMA and other huge stuff.

Advanced Stock is for arc, I have to change it in thread.
Sent from Jelly Sandwiched Xperia arc S
Still trying to figure out why i get home launcher fc loops after a while (2nd reboot). It seems to dislike some setting i make (but i just enabled wifi, forced 2d gpu rendering and set smartassv2/sio. So i will have to narrow it down to one of those. First i will try some reboots without changing anything and see.....)
EDIT:
very odd behaviour (i did several installs to check, with recommended aroma settings):
1st boot: sometimes everything is fine, sometimes fc on music info and credential manager (though i use same aroma options and do full wipe)
2nd boot: boot animation is very slow or boot loop
3rd boot (if i get this far): home launcher fc's
EDIT: see Page 3 for update
Running on suavev6 btw.
bro i successfully flash the ROM but when it log-to system some apps force close like credentialmanagerservice.apk and music downloads what can i do are remove this apps from system ?

link please? Dunno which version to use
Wifi module for Neo ?
I can't see link download it
Hey guys. For the Music Info Downloader is the Walkman thingy. ANY version of the Walkman thingy causes it. Use something like Google Play Music app (free). Credential Manager, I dunno. My AROMA options are....
System Apps: Xperia T
Launcher: Xperia T 5x4
Statusbar: Transparent
Sound Engine (Does not matter. Both are buggy)
Icons: Pureness
Root App: Superuser (SuperSU doesn't enable root access)
Wifi Modules: Don't choose (Using NightElf Kernel)
Bootanimation: Jelly Sandwich
Apps: Titanium Backup and No-Frills
Mods: Play Store and Google Ears
Advanced: Up to you, but always wipe Dalvik
---------- Post added at 11:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:44 AM ----------
This is most stable set up IMO
No Onscreen Button ?

Yes, after trying various setups i also found two problems (which the rom is probably not to blame for):
1. Walkman Music Player might cause credential manager fc's (though it works for me now). May be related to problem 2. Anyway i would not install any of the sound mods, but AC!D (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1735698) instead (make sure you have 40MB free /system before installing that, otherwise you might run out of /system).
2. If you are on suavev6 kernel you will run into trouble if you don't turn off swap creation on /system (which is default enabled in suavev6!!!). This will cause out of space problems on /system which will result in fc's and bootloops. So make sure shardul.swap.mb=0 is set in /data/local.prop before installing rom (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27607739&postcount=69). If you wipe data (as i did), then install new rom, change /data/local.prop and install new rom again (without wiping /data). This also solved problem 1 for me (probably also related to [temporary] /system shortage). (May be someone can create an update.zip just containing the modified /data/local.prop?? Then you could just flash that after wiping but before installing rom).
My current installation of 7.0 seems stable (using the aroma settings from maxio + nofrills + link2sd), but i have to use it a little longer to be sure. Speed is superb (smartassv2/[email protected]). Battery lifetime also (5% in 8 hours, no usage, Wifi on).
Update:
Best settings for me:
System Apps: Xperia T
Launcher: Xperia T 5x4
Statusbar: Xperia T
Sound Engine: none (install AC!D later)
Icons: Pureness
Root App: Superuser
Wifi Modules: Stock (for suave)
Bootanimation: none
Apps: No-Frills, Link2SD
Mods: Google Ears
Advanced: Wipe Dalvik
I didn't choose epic bootanimation because of it's size in /system. You also have to manually delete /system/media/bootanimation.zip (13MB!) to free up some space on /system.
After that you are able to install AC!D sound mod(Walkman variant) and will still have 10MB free on /system. Though you can still remove some crap like WeatherWidget(5,6MB), SemcDNLA(4,5MB), SemcNotes(2.8MB)....
But now comes the bad thing: I am still facing random reboots. They sometimes happen when i login directly after boot. Launcher starts and the last thing i see is NoFrills changing to smartassv2/sio, so it's probably related to that (my guess is, that there are lots of sdcard accesses just after reboot and it dislikes changing io govenor while busy. So i will try to leave noop for a while and see if that's the cause. Never had it on another rom though. And i am coming from JS6.2.5, so a quiet similar rom).

Recommended kernel : nobodyAtall's 2.6 kernel
Recommended kernel settings : No overclock, just stock!
Recommended install method : Full WIPE !!
( Remember : you are not experiencing the true strength of sjb if you don't do a full wipe )
Suggestions/recommendations for and after installation [IMPORTANT]
FULL WIPE IS RECOMMENDED FOR ANY VERSION OF THE ROM.
0.Don't restore anything from titanium backup.. its better to download apps from play store...
1.Rom is tested only on fxp, mesa jelly bean and nAa's 2.6 kernel kernel , however it should work fine on others[/B]
2.In MX player , by default use SW decoder.. if the video doesn't work properly , only then use HW decoder.
3.Keep all the animation set at 0.5x in developer options
5.[optional] you can delete 1 of the launcher apps. [2 included]
NOTE : do not use seeder or anything else with this rom ( you dont have to ).. if you do then don't post here about battery life... thanks.
HOW TO INSTALL :
Note : only for unlocked bootlader
1. copy super jelly bean and gapps to sd card
2. flash any jb kernel for your device..

5.full wipes
ie :

wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache
in mounts and storage , wipe system , data and cache
6. flash Super Jelly Bean
7.flash gapps : use this link : Gapps For SJB
(8. flash a patch (if available!))
(9.flash wifi modules of respective kernel (if they are needed)
10.reboot

Note : after install , let the rom settle for atleast 15 to 20 minutes.. then reboot and use as normal
( gapps not included )
Caution : I am not responsible for any damage done to your device or your head by using this you are making these changes on your own..
Rules : All XDA rules.
Do not use this rom as a base for your own custom rom. because a lot of hard work has gone into making it.. thanks.

FAQ :
I am having bootloop( never boots just shows kernel logo and bootanimation ) . What to do ??
Please follow the steps and install correctly because hundreds of users already use the rom without any problem !
I am having a laggy rom
Do a clean install of the rom ie wipe data(factory reset) , wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache , wipe system , wipe data and cache
My wifi is not working
flash the wifi modules (present in addons ) of the respective kernel . it will be present in the kernel thread !!
My keyboard/hardware keyboard is not working
You need to disable the hardware keyboard, to enable any other keyboards. The hardware keyboard will still be working, even if you disable it
I get a status 7 error in cwm after wiping system
1.That's normal because the rom.zip wants to get information about your phone and after wiping system it can't do that. Open the zip on your pc, go to META-INF -> com -> google -> android and open the updater-script with a text editor (like notepad++). Now you delete the first few lines with "assert" and "getprop". Repack the zip and you should be able to flash!
2. If you did the first method and you still get a status 7, could it be you are on lupus kernel? Read the FAQ for more info/help!
CPU settings :
No OC , interactive governor and deadline as scheduler !!
which kernel do you use ? :
nobodyAtall's 2.6 kernel with No OC ,stock settings
Can I even use lupus kernel ? :
It looks like you get a status 7 error while installing the rom on lupus kernel, so better use another one (you can install the rom on any kernel and then flash lupus kernel if you want to, but it seems like there are some problems with lupus)!
Why is rotation not working? :
You have to enable Auto-Rotation in settings -> display -> auto rotation!
How to fix superuser? :
Please try flashing this. It should remove the superuser.apk from /system/app. Then please reinstall superuser or supersu from playstore. If the zip doesn't work, please report!
How to enable ANT+ on this rom? :
Follow the steps on this post by steinarlundemo. Thank you for this great method!
How to disable the button backlight? :
In system/etc/hw_config.sh, look for echo number > $dev/button-backlight/ and change the number! Change it to 1, to disable the light. (Thank you washwash for pointing it out here)
How to fix offline charging (charging when phone is turned off) on this rom? :
Flash the zip from this post by sud.vastav. Thanks for this!
what can i do to repay you ?
just hit the thanks button here

BATTERY TIPS :
Few basic tips to really get the most battery out of your device..
1.Try changing the kernel if you have a heavy battery draining
2.Reduce the screen brightness and the screen time out to a comfortable value
3.Don't Overclock as i said many times already.. use 122/1024 ( even for gaming )
4.Turn off wifi , bluetooth etc when not in use
5.Before going to sleep , turn off useless apps such as whatsapp running in the background
6.Restart your phone once everyday or every two days.. ( i restart my phone everytime before putting it for charging , i usually re-charge only when the battery reaches 1 % )
Good work mike..... Will try out asap....btw when u say flashing .587 is it necessary to do that or just recommended
Cheers,
AJ

I think is JB 4.1.2 since is based on cm10.
Initial impression is a nice smooth rom with good touch responce/sensitivity.
Nice to see a rom that hasn't got lots of apps cluttering up my phone, although there are still a few apps that could be left to users to download e.g. keep and mx player. Gapps does install some apps I feel are junk/bloat but that is down to my own preferences.
Would be nice to have some wallpapers & themes in future update.
Lupus JB v7 - wifi not work.
3.0.8-nAa-03_SK17 - wifi working.
3.4.0-nAa-01_SK17 - wifi working.
Problems
Screen only rotates for apps when keyboard is to be used, i.e. when messaging/typing in browser but doesn't rotate launcher/app drawer etc.
I will add more feedback if I find anything else to report

Thank you very much, I guess there's a problem with the rotation sensor. Should be fixed when I rebase it on the latest nightly

It is based on 4.1.2
I've found another bug:
When the back lights of the keys are on, the hardware keyboard lights stay on. Because of this the battery consumption is high.

Look at FAQ in third post
Just two questions since I needed both of them badly..
1. Is VIPER sound mod compatible with this and few days back they made it clear like in few JB rom's Viper mod isn't compatible
2. can I take video in full HD and 5 mp snaps in stock 4:3 ratio like i do in stock based rom's and is Google now there by default? or can it be installed?
Mikes cm10.1 will soon be compatible with kernel 3.4 .. Will u b rebasing to 4.2.2 ?

1. I haven't ever tried VIPER sound mod, so you could try and report
2. 5MP snaps should work, haven't tried 4:3, will try after the update! Google now should work since it's 4.1.2

No I won't, because it's just a port and I didn't make the rom!
I'm not sure if it is the NexMusic player itself or the actual roms' sound quality, but when I listen to an album I play all the time and use earphones I wear all the time, it just doesn't sound right.
I went out earlier for a couple of hours on public transport (bus) and was listening to music the whole time. The volume, when up full, isn't very loud and I could actually hear people talking over my music but my main issue is the sound quality, it is tinny/hissy.
If I turn on the DSP Manager, things get worse, the sound distorts quite bad when the volume is turned up, even though the volume on this rom isn't loud enough to make my earphones distort, this I know as I use them on other roms that are quite a bit louder and have the DSP Manager set higher, i.e. more bass and equalizer set higher.
