Edit: The only other cons of all the other reviews are that some people don't think the battery life is long enough and others don't like it heating up, or both.

What?

What the hell is the point of this thread

The reviewer is clearly a moron.

"but I had to turn wifi off to get better than 2 days of battery life.."
Are you sh*ttin me?! Most people are happy with 18hrs and this guy wants to see 48+hrs. Lol

As Red would say, random thread is random.....
This reviewer really needs to rethink what battery life for a mobile device is, hell my girlfriends 4s doesn't get 2 days on a charge and that's with light use and it is supposed to have epic battery life.

WTF is this? This has nothing to do with XDA. I dont want AT&T or BestBuy reviews posted here, this isnt Facebook.

[HELP] Random battery drain, serious problem

I've been really happy with the battery life of the s2, however every now and again the phone randomly reboots and I lose as much as 10%+ battery instantaneously.
In one instance I lost about 80% or so as soon as I took it off charge!! I'm not sure what is causing this but would be grateful if anyone knows a solution or is having the same problem.
There's a few screen shots below to highlight the problem.

I am having the same problem.
that looks bad..
have you tried something like...completely draining the batt, then while keeping the phone off, charge it back up to 100%?
Multiple battery posts on here read them .
One such is here and plenty more .

Thank-you people. I have tried a full drain once, but I may well try that again. It seems to be ok lately but I will keep an eye on it.

Carrier IQ?

Does anyone know if the note has CIQ installed? I will not have mine until Sunday to find out... however on my skyrocket before CIQ was disabled my battery life was terrible. Although the battery still is not stellar once I disabled it I get about 3-4 more hours of use a day out of it.
Second question is since carrier IQ is hidden when checking battery usage where do you think the usage is hidden? I charged my skyrocket a few weeks back and never turned the display on for 6 or 7 hours. When I checked the usage it had the display at 41% even though it had not been on more than 30 seconds...
Most likely it is...

Sorry. Couldn't help myself This has been a running joke since I had the original phablet, the forgettable Dell Streak 5. Just "Streak" when I had it. It had potential, that Dell squandered of course. Before grabbing the Note, I had a good look at how much development was happening on XDA. Did not want to repeat the past, and while there are not quite the number of ROMs that the N7000 enjoys, its quality, not quantity that counts. And we have plenty of that, between DarkStar, Paranoid, Padawan, and some nice N7000 ports like Liquid etc.
ANYTHING is better than the Streak experience. You would see a thread for a ROM, only to see it either abandoned or never completed. You could hear virtual crickets in the development section. Not so with Note, and there is plenty to come, before Note II sends the OG Note to the nether regions.

Wakelock killing apps?

Need a good recommendation for a wakelock killing app, my phone is awake 90% of the day even though I've had maybe 45 minutes of onscreen time at school, and another 10 so far at home. Screenies attached, I'm running my rom (ironically) 100% stock, no custom kernels or anything. This is gonna bother me to no end if I can't find a solution lol

It's better to find the cause than to treat the symptoms. BetterBatteryStats XDA is free here. It can help you figure out what's going on.

Awesome download speed right there. Lol.
Like both the hard and soft buttons.
I don't know what is worse, the fact that they are using speed test to show off the computing power or the speeds of their 'computing power'
