Hye all.. Can anyone please tell me how can we change the administrators settings in lg P500.. ?? Whenever i try clicking the administrator tab in the settings page, nothing shows up.. Need this to set locks to my messages and certain apps..
I don't think you can create administrator rights, but on Market there are apps that can set password protection on other apps, search there.

i am a newbie tried installing a terminal on my rooted android phone(2.3.7) and have checked getprop there are many properties available but I don't find any property that stores the sim phone number in this list.
could you please let me know where the modification has to go for changing it ? Application is available called "MY PHONE NUMBER" but unfortunately not installing on my cell
if some one has any idea how this can be done please let me know
thanks in advance
cheers,
Ravi
I don't think there is an option to enter phone number in SIM card in Android (correct me if I'm wrong). I entered mine in a SE K550. Number is displayed now in Android.

I followed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14949609&postcount=4. This was for stock ROM.
The method mentioned before (settings>call settings>gsm call settings>additional settings>my phone number) is for CM-based ROMs.
Hope this helps.

The easiest way to do this is to insert the sim into an iphone if you have one easily accessible, go to Settings>phone>my number ---> Here you can set your phone numb and save it.
Now if you insert the sim in an android phone, you will be able to see your number.

I have no explanation as to why that wouldn't be working, But if all you're doing is using it for "Battery Information" and not the other things within that menu, I suggest you install "Any cut" and create a shortcut to the activity "Battery info" and hopefully that works for you.
