You can't download music straight off to the phone. WP doesn't use the generic file system. You will have to transfer music/videos etc via Zune Client over the desktop. This way everything is signed, secure and no chances of any 3rd party apps or websites adding malware or viruses on the phone.
Download Easyring. you can download songs, ringtones and make playlist and ****. the best app on wp7

I thought i give it a try. I downloaded something from Zippyshare and it said downloading.
Last time i tried, it went streaming instantly and i was not sure how to save it on the harddisk and i thought it was some limitation put by windows.
So now i downloaded and i could listen to the track , but here is the thing. I could only open it through the webbrowser. When i go to Nokia Music, there are no songs to be found.
Which brings me to one essenstial question..Where the heck is the file explorer? On the HD2 i had one and i could make maps and copy/paste or delete. Where can i find such thing? And how do i get my downloaded mp3 to work on the music player?
Thanks
anyone? i want to know where i can find my downloaded files through the phone and how to play my downloaded mp3 files on the music player .
There is no file browser and will never be. You cant download mp3s trough the browser, only just stream it.
Unless im missing something i cant see an option to play my music which is in my Dropbox app on my Galaxy S3 via Poweramp which is my main music player, anyone know if this is possible?
Cheers
anyone?
Dropbox stores your music in the cloud, and it isn't synced to your phone like it is to your desktop.
The desktop version syncs automatically, while in the phone version you have to manually save each file from your Dropbox onto your phone.
You'll have to manually, one file by one, download and save your music to your phone, then play it with Poweramp.
OR
Do like I did, and purchase the app "Dropsync" (Full version) and set it up to sync your Music folder on your Dropbox to a folder on your phone's SD card.
Mine syncs automatically and thus my phone is always up to date with the latest music that I have on my Dropbox.

If you wish to play the files directly from the cloud... no, it isn't possible (surely...)
I have a lot of m3u files that link to a website to play. On windows I just use windows media player but I haven't been able to find one that works with Android.
The text inside the m3u file is something like this:
http://www.kevinandbeanarchive.com/...es/2004-06-11-Rock Me Amadeus-Final Email.mp3
Thanks for any leads you may have.

You have playlists that link to an external source so I take it you do not own any of the mp3's associated with them? Why not just use one of the thousands of streaming sources available that work, Slacker Radio came as stock on the phone. Then there's Rhapsody, LastFM or iHeart Radio. Maybe one of them could import your m3u playlists. Last FM would be my best bet but its not free.

I have used a free market app called "just playlists" with limited success. It seems it likes to choose when it will and will not work for itself, though...
Google Music stores it's my downloaded MP3 music on the internal phone memory on my Nexus4. I don't want to use any other player, I really like how Google Music gives me the best of both worlds, with regards to having my best stuff locally, and all music in the cloud.
However sometimes I want to copy a particular Mp3 from my phone to my computer. All the files are randomly numbered xxx.mp3, so I can't see which file is what track in MP3 explorer.
Anyone know an app that can browse a system directory (on a rooted phone), and show all the Mp3 metadata and allow copying of that file?

Hey guys,
just wondered, if theres any option to download the music out of google play music all access I put in a playlist. I mean wouldn't it be nice to hear it with some other player, so if connection struggles the music doesnt stop playing.
Yes offlinemode in mobile version is available, but can I extract them out of it, to do the same at my PC.
The App Cloudmusicimporter promises this much. But as I tried it, not one of my all access titles in the Playlists is shown and possible to download, just the ones I upped myself..
