I've used VegaICS for three weeks now, and for two days ago, many apps dissapeard from Google Play and those apps says it is uncompatible. I changed my build.prop to what I remembered from VegaComb, but it's still not working. I've now changed it back. Is it a way to fix this?

And then someone should post a link to an old (working) market apk that works on ICS.
(I didn't backup it, because I never thought that Google would f*** it up with the new Google Play.)

Good moring all.
Flashed rohit's GB MIUI ROM yesterday, and updated the market to Play Store via an apk I found here. Used the apk before on other ROMs. All fine - very nice ROM btw.
About 4 hours later I downloaded (via pc) and installed a bunch of MIUI lockscreens from the Android Themes forum, and noticed that "Play Store" had changed name to "Black Market Store" (note - not "BlackMarket Alpha"). The icon was the same, but had moved itself up in the app drawer alphabetically. I use AltDrawer, and have done for months.
Never seen this before, and didn't dare to open it - did a full wipe and reinstalled ROM via CWM immediately, and Play Store was back. As far as I recall, I only had WiFi activated for a short time, and hadn't turned on my data network at all.
Baffling and slightly worrying - something somewhere was being naughty, but I've no idea what/how/where. I have zero apps from anywhere except the market and here, never had the warez markets on my phone.
Anyone else familiar with this?

I don't know why google play store wants to crash all of the sudden as it worked fine yesterday and I haven't done anything that would upset it.
I've checked if the app "downloads" was disabled which is was not.
I've cleared cache and all that stuff to no avail.
I've deleted my google account on the phone.
I've uninstalled play store, rebooted, downloaded the newest apk and installed it
I thought maybe it was the new 4.4.21 update that broke it but after installing an older 4.3.10 and still no fix I don't think that's the issue.
I've been doing lots and lots of reboots after several of the above mentioned tries.
I'm using a modded ROM and I'm rooted as well if that's important.
I've deleted some stuff in the root folder with X-Plorer as well but that was way before this happened, maybe two weeks ago?
I've also got SD Maid installed and am using it rather frequently, maybe it deleted something that was needed in the root folder?
BTW, in some apps, a pop up appears with something about that it's unable to communicate with android market. I don't recall I ever had that installed?
I'm at a loss here and I'm about to go crazy or something and I really want it to work.
Try installing it as system app and see if it works.

I also have "No" GPS problem when Play store is updated (my smartphone an archos helium, and the issue concern 50 Diamond, L-ite 500 (all on android 4.4.4)).
After spending over a month with factory reset / reinstalls to try to get the GPS working, I finally did a minimal install of just the basic apps I needed by downloading & installing apk's directly, and more importantly deactivated all the apps I did not need including Google Play Store and Google Play services.
GPS gets a fix and works perfectly, even inside building. I've been using this configuration for about 2 weeks to today.
Today, I enabled Google Play Services and Google Play Store (which auto updated itself to 6.9. .... when I tapped on the version number which was 4.8.... in settings), .... and when I switched on the GPS (Location) ..... the issue was back => NO GPS FIX.
Disabling Google Play Services and Google Play Store ... and GPS works perfectly again gets a fix in a few seconds.
Whatever Google has done has generated a major GPS problem for users - Google should provide a fix immediately to users or restore their apk versions to the last correctly functioning versions.
this issue is posed on google's dev's forum for 1 mounth but it seem there is not enought vote to make google work on this issue, or nless to restore to previous version. this is very embarassing because I have bought a new smartphone for nothing (the older was not broken at all) and I am not alone to do that.

Well I am about to smash my phone to bits lol so I'm hoping for a bit of help. Had my le max 2 for over a year and its been ok, it automatically updated not long ago and since then nothing GOOGLE works, playstore wont load, always get the Play services stopped working popping up every 3 mins or so. I have deleted them and downloaded the apk's a million times and it does the same thing over and over. Also some other apps just do not work now.
On top of that I have the other 2 home screens that is all adverts and in another language I'm guessing Chinese, My calendar is also messed up with all extra Chinese writing in it and other bits, I also get advert bars at the bottom when I open certain things.
I now can not even install facebook or anything else as the google playstore does not work I have tried other app stores you can download that have all the apps on and they don't really work either and a lot say they need google play services to work so I get that popping up.
I have no idea about rooting phones, installing customs roms or anything although I have checked videos and I'm still no further what to install or do.
I just want google play to work again so I can have things as I did before
any ideas at all please? if I cant sort it I think I'm just going to go back to samsung
just installed all the google stuff using google installer V2 all seemed to go ok but still says google services stopped , managed to install facebook another way but it says the facebook app is not compatable with my device so the phone is stopping facebook from working :/
what rom you have ?
some conflict happened after the update, you need to reset factory.

Are you referring to the stock rom 028S? I don't think it is fully compatible with Google Services. After many re-installations, I gave up on it and installed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 Nougat and never looked back. It frees up tons of memory too.
LG 3Gs Android 5.01 Lollipop with App2SD and Kingroot. I know: it is a nightmare but I made it so and live with it. I can change it. I mean: remove App2SD however looks like this works almost OK. I use McAfee Security. I cannot update Android cause it's rooted :/
The problem: My strong suspicion is one of Google apps is broken. Don't know which one. Maybe I made it using Apps2SD 'remove broken apps' tool and removed few parts of something :/. I am not sure. The problem happened after updade of Google App but I am not sure this is the case, cause I removed upgrades and no change..
LG works quite OK until trying to log into Google account. I cannot finish it through Google services confirmation. I used to few days ago. It stops now at the last confirmation of settings. Doesn't go through it. Anyway I have my Google data available after logging in - like calendar or contacts, but after couple of minutes my phone blocks.. like trying to reload and freezes. I need to remove battery to start it cause no button works :/
I can open my Google Play Shop before crash but no update works. It starts an update but no single Byte downloaded.
Moreover: in SETTINGS..MEMORY I don't see any apps data memory use - except the free space on disk. Nowhere it's visible :/
I tried few things:
1. removed GOOGLE App updates and turned it back to factory version. No change.
2. I tried to uninstal updates of Google Play Store. I can't do it.
3 Of course I did reset the data from anything suggested: Shop, Google and Downloader..
4. My Google account on smartphone was reinstalled.
All above didn't bring any progress. :/

OK. I uninstalled Google Play Shop updates and it helped for 2 days.. In the meantime I updated all possible apps via the factory G.Shop version. And once I tried to move few apps to SD card - the problem came back. Let me remind: I have Apps2SD but I didn't use it this time. I moved only apps to SD traditional way.
Now I try to uninstall Google Services' updates, but it's not going.. The smartphone restarts and blocks.. like above.. PLEASE HELP.
