juicedefender - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Guys I have just Installed the juicedefender ultimate and it days
the service is running (it will be restarted)
what does it means?
is it working?

It means that JD is running in the background, however you have changed a setting that requires JuiceDefender to restart. Just press the Home button and wait about 30 seconds. Check the notification in the status bar. It will kill itself then start and initialize.
Hope this helps!

Also, make sure the Notification setting is set to 'Graphical'.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SII ICS minor problems

Hello. I've installed ICS 4.0.3 (I9100XXLPS), and then rooted it. Everything works fine except for two things: Chainfire3D and lock screen AccuWeather.
In Chainfire3D I can't use per-app settings, because, for some reason, they won't work. I've tried reinstalling it, still no luck.
As for AccuWeather lock screen display, it shows 0.0°C most of the time, unless I go to Dispay Settings, and disable, then re-enable Weather. This fixes it for some time, after which it goes back to 0.0°C. The problem is only with the lock screen one, desktop widget shows normal temperature all the time.
Are these known issues? Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have this problem too. The only solution is to disable weather from lock screen. There is no fix for this issue at the moment.
I've managed to make it work on my Galaxy S II (don't know for now long it will work ):
- I had the accuweather widget and accuweather lock screen enabled.
- Go to Applications on Settings, All applications
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather Weather Daemon"
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather.com"
- Turn on locating services
- Remove and add again accuweather widget on the home screen. It will automatically use the location service and show the right information.
After that the accuweather widget on the lock screen shows the right temperature as well

NFC Icon in Notifications Bar Not Working!

Hello. I have purchase the Samsung Galaxy S3 from a seller here in Greece and since upgrading to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 have had an issue with NFC. I reset the phone but problem does exist. The Icon in the notification bar to turn it on/off is blank, and nothing happens when I press it. If I then go into Settings>More Settings and then turn NFC on, it works. The icon in the Notification Bar then goes green and the NFC icon appears. However, then when I press the icon in the Notification bar I get the "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." message, and I need to restart the phone. Have tried adding and removing the icon from the notifications bar, but that hasn't helped. Is this a bug? I have heared that some people have the same problem.
I have the exact same issue here.... My version is 4.1.2 CSC: I9300ZTOEMA3
Odp: NFC Icon in Notifications Bar Not Working!
I had the same problem on my s3 and note2 but it seems that the bug has been fixed in the latest SW. I am working at Samsung's RD so I can inform devs very quickly about issues

Well you are going to be very popular round here! Have a word with them about multi tasking
The problem does still exist. Is there any solution?
Looks that it's working with the latest BTU EMB5 (for me it is)

you have to take the toggle out of the notification bar, reboot then you can add it again and it will work however whenever you reboot the phone or at least most of the time you reboot the phone it will vanish again and you have to repeat what i said. its the only annoying thing about the phone to me and it is definitely a fw issue just hope it gets fixed. havent tried emb5 so cant say if that fixed it or not
I have the same problem with newest EMC2 stock rom but method of Ryanscobberwash works for me.

i have same problem with EUR ROM.
i thought it will disappear if i install another csc,i tried SEE for southern Europe but still
the same.
its a pity since i want NFC but i want to switch off my phone when not needed.
Samsung service here in Crete was unable to fix it.
they want to send it to Samsung Athens.
Xblast Tools (xposed framework module) fixes this problem. (Try playing with the notifications tranparency. It also boosts the statusbar/notifications when pulling down up. It makes it far more fluent.) I am on stock 4.1.2
i have same problem , what should i do?

stop notifications from lighting up screen?

notifications waking up the screen are killing me.. if my phones in my pocket and the screen wakes up, then every step i take, my thigh hits the screen and keeps it awake for hours till i check the phone or it dies first..
sometimes when i get certain notifications, such as low battery, it keeps the screen on indefinitely (ironicly battery warning is a huge battery killer lol..), so does charger connected/disconnected.
anyways there's my rant, my question is,
; has anybody come across a way to stop the screen from turning on when getting a notification? it already lights up, vibrates, has a smart reminder option, and a led indicator, I'd really love to stop the screen from lighting up.
ill give 'Thanks' to anyone throwing out suggestions

are you talking about the sms app? use a custom one
SMS app is one culprit, so is email, Google talk, battery notifications, LINE messager, and a zillion other 3rd party apps.. itd be much more realistic to find a lock screen off solution, or remove the service that lets apps lightup the screen

Easy fix, get SMS popup app, go into the stock SMS app and disable notifications, now go into the SMS popup app and in notifications , click and enable notifications. Now go into additional settings and unchecked screen on for pop-up . That's it, you'll get notifications without the screen turning on.

Soraxd,
What lock screen do you use?
I have a good workaround, but it involves using WidgetLocker lock screen which is hands down the most killer optioned lock screen around.
Let me know if your interested.

soraxd,
Workaround...works pretty much flawless on my S3 with ICS.
Install Widget Locker. You mentioned that it was not as fast as your stock lock screen. On my old retired HD2 and my 6 month old S3, W.L. is actually faster than stock. The key thing is that you have the settings maximized...which include disabling the stock lockscreen from withing ICS/JB settings. (I can give you more info if it runs slow for you) I just set my wife's new S3 with the same configuration and it works perfect. I can unlock and relock W.L. pretty darn quickly...no delays at all.
Then in W.L., I use a simple Iphone style unlock to slide and have that at the bottom of my W.L. screen so my thumb can easily reach. I have many widgets on the screen. (agenda/last caller/clock etc) Then I use a free app named Invisible Lock Widget. You drop this widget into W.L., and you LAYER IT OVER all other widgets except the slide to unlock. (This is one of W.L.'s coolest features)
First off, W.L. should be set for 10secs time out...so less chance of your leg re-triggering it in the first place. 2nd thing, when your leg triggers the screen because it has turned on due to a notification or what-have-you, then Invisible Lock Widget actually re-locks the screen. It's that simple. Sometimes I press the menu button to turn my screen on to look at the time, and 2secs later I click the screen and it quickly and easily turns off thanks to I.L.W. Once you get used to it, you will find it is very convenient and efficient. Like I said, it's a work around and also has other benefits.
Widget locker can be set to suppress the "power button long press menu" if it gets triggered in your pocket. It cannot suppress the "low battery" warning popups that show up above W.L. but the dev might be adding that. (I requested it) I have a Tasker workaround for that. If your running Tasker, I will share that with you. It works like a charm. With all these little workarounds, I no longer do the "Pocket Launch thing".

Galaxy S3 not getting any notifications and clock not syncing

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S3 9300 running official rom and android 4.3
Since yesterday, i receive no notifications from all apps (viber, mails etc). for example i only see the viber messages only when i start the viber app. Same thing for all apps.
Also, the top right clock on the home sceen does not sync with the clock of the home screen weather app (the top right clock time is left behind until i switch off and on the screen).
Additionally, when i go to the settings-device info-firmware upgade, nothing happens (normally it should search for any new upgrade).
Finally, i noticed that the battery is running out faster than before without any specific device use...
I didnt make any upgrades or anything else for the last 15 days and i also switched off/on the device many times in case the problem would be solved.
Any usefull thoughts???

Automatic Hibernation Disables Home Button on Galaxy S5

I have two Galaxy S5 running Android 6.0.1. and Nova Launcher (not rooted). If I enable automatic hibernation it disabels the home button (the button becomes non-functional). With automatic hibernation my battery life is greatly increased.
The AT&T S5s will disable the home button even when I set the display time out to 30 seconds or on minute and I set the lock screen function to 3 or 5 minutes. I have tried using the doze and advanced doze options and they seem to work well.
