I would recommend posting in your decide forum section.

Yes I would agree with that, post it in your phones thread of you haven't done so already. That's kind of odd though that your phone is stuck in safe mode, as soon as I pull the battery or restart my phone it goes back to normal.

I have posted it there as well but I figured that as widely used as Fastboot is someone with another phone might have had this issue and could help or someone could point me in the right direction

I have the same thing

Yup. Mine goes straight to the animated Droid blue eye.
so is this good, bad, or does it provide any open doors for future hacks?
I would assume that any increase in boot time would be a good thing haha.

I noticed the same thing. I never put 2 and 2 together I was planing on a sbf flash so I wanted to try the 2nd init install before I did. Weird
is that a good thing?
I think it is skipping the bootloader and kernel on reboot and just rebooting the system partition. If I understand it, that's how we would load a custom rom.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Please read what 2nd-init is before just haphazardly installing it. There isn't anything out right now that currently uses it on the Atrix, so unless you're developing you shouldn't really bother with installing it.

Ok cool. Sorry Sheathunderboilt wasn't trying to be a jerk. I was just starting to wonder if the confusing wording of the questions was intentional.
Anyway, I think your going to have to provide a little more info before anyone can be of much help.

Have you tried turning the phone off then holding volume down + power untill the bootloader screen appears and then manually selecting recovery? ROM Manager tends to have issues.

reinstall rom manager and flash one ot the older cwm like the 4.0.1.5 not the 5.x.x.x
Try reflashing Clockwork recovery by following the instructions in this thread. It sounds like your recovery got screwed up or wiped out somehow. Use version 5.0.2.1. I think the version 5 issues are fixed in that one. If you still have issues try using one of the version 4.x ones.
Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt
Thanks guys I did it and got my phone and just FYI version five don't work on my tb so I will stay away from ROM manager!!!!! I still couldn't do a back up in recovery cuz it says error on restoring boot image ,once!again o beloved my SD card corrupt

Actually it doesn't. We kinda have to work around a few of the flaws that our recovery has to get it to work "properly." If we ever got CWR, we'd have a bit easier time flashing ROMs. Plus, it's built a lot better, and is more stable.
I have it. However, If the phone is powered down, when I plug it in it boots into recovery. Turn off the phone while plugged in, and it reboots into recovery. Other than that little irritation, it works great.
"You have it' is that system recovery? On a X2? The std one?
Or do you mean the Bionic version?

Maybe as you are a dev you know things I don't, but to say an official version is more stable when it doesn't exist is a stretch. The only drawback is having to plug it in. I've never had any issues flashing anything so from a USER standpoint it is fine. Your post also fails to address the original post which should probably just be answered with a 'dont use cwm unless it is the one for your phone.'

Just be careful not to do anything that might cause bootloop cause u wont be able to get into cwm by power off and plug in to restore a nandroid

I said IF we get one. From a dev standpoint, it's a little difficult to work with. We can't use all the update script commands we want, for example. Also, ADB is broke from the recovery side, so if we did want to do something manually before/after flashing, we can't.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
The current recovery for X2 is flawed. If I want to install a new ROM and a wipe is required, once that wipe is complete entering CWM is NOT an option. The recovery apk must be reinstalled to enter CWM. This is a problem if the ROM doesn't properly install, leaving the user high and dry. Only option is to enter stock recovery which is limited.

Please please please help me!!!
Hi, this is Bhakta from New York, USA. I have big problem with my Motorola Photon 4G sprint MB855. After I have rooted my phone, I found new system software of Photon 4G. I download and installed but after installed the phone does not boot. the error massage 'Failed to boot 2 Starting RSD mode and hang up. If I boot manually, it boots but automatically shut down after less than 1 minute. I searched more than 12 hours online and try to download RSD lite drivers and sunfire user file but I can't. After all I found you helped a lot of friends. Please could you assist me. I am so frosted. I have no enough money to buy new one. Don't worry if you want to donate some I will. One more time please favor me.
Thank you
Bhakta
I feel your pain
Unfortunately I can not offer any help because I have the exact same problem. I can only offer what I hope are helpful details about the phones behavior that might help a knowledgable person with a clue to a resolution.
I rooted my phone by the One Click Root method. Friday morning I accepted an over the air software update and can now no loonger use my phone. My phone is in a boot loop, it will start and run about a minute and then restart, as its trying to restart it gets stuck displaying the error, "failed to boot 2" and "starting RSD mode" but it never gets past that point. I have to pull the battery to move the phone from that point.
When I try to fastboot I get the error "starting fastboot protocol support", but nothing ever happens from there, I have to pull the battery if I want to try the next thing. I tried to enter "Androidd recovery" from the fast boot menue but get the same "failed to boot 2" error.
Help, I am in over my depth.

I don't have an SBF for the latest update but all the other files have been on my site since December and as well as the Photon Compendium thread in the Developers forum.
At a quick glance from various sources it almost seems like moto did this on purpose. There are a lot of rooted users having issues with this latest update and the update blocks sbf flashing to and older releases. It may be a little bit before we can get this cleared up for you guys.
Have you tried booting into stock recovery and wiping data?
Hello all,
I am the proud new owner (first time android owner as well) of a Galaxy S3 SGH-1747, and I am still learning the ins and outs of the phone but so far I am loving this thing.
However, I did run into some issues when I did an install of a ROM AOKP Task & KToonsez ROM. The first major problem is that my computer will now not read my phone, whereas before it was able to register it. I know I have the correct drivers installed and I have the android usb debugging thing box checked in my settings. I have tried several different USB ports now thinking it might be that but they all do not read it. As smooth as this ROM is, it is still in the early stages and there are a lot of bugs and kinks that need to be worked out still so I would like to either switch back to the stock ROM or aim for a more stable one. I am not sure how I can do either of this without a copy of the original touchwiz ROM on there.
Please help me figure this problem out lol.
Flash your nandroid. I'm sure you made one like you're supposed to.

But ever since I installed this ROM my computer stopped reading my phone, it won't even show up on kies either. I am trying right now a factory reset and wipe but it just keeps going back to the same rom.

A factory reset won't make your phone stock man...you need to Odin the stock ROM ...(link I provided) back to your phone.

Ok, one last stupid question for you though. How would I be able to do this if my computer is not reading my phone? I have Odin installed and all that jazz but the phone will not register on the computer. Will Odin still read it even though it's not showing up under my computer?

you being a n00b should really not be flashing right now, as people are losing IMEI's left and right. if i were you id sit right where you are for the time being. play it safe broseph, we wouldn't want your first foray on android to end badly :highfive:
I'm not flashing roms on my s3 yet so I'm not positive but doesn't aosp roms take the Google drivers, not the Samsung ones? I know with the captivate on cm9 I had to install them.
