So...I have VinceOB's modded Rosie (centered all apps and no text, LINK) but would like to mod the delete, settings, and launcher icon.
I decompiled in M10, edited images in Rosie/assets/Port/scenes/Rosie_navbar (as attached) but when I put it back together, nothing sticks. I don't see the launcher in any of the regular res folders...am I missing something?

I'm basically looking for someone to tell me I'm stoopid or that the files I need are actually in Fusion.apk, which (obviously) we cannot mod, just yet.
You can't edit Rosie 3.6 images. It has to be done via the m10 editor. I'll mod it in a bit. I'm watching Wrestlemania. Lol wait, what exactly do you want edited?
I guess I don't understand what you're saying...in M10, all my images show after compiling and re-decompiling

You can't modify images in Sense 3.6. In the newest leak the images are removed. What are you trying to accomplish?
I mainly just want to change out the plain-jane "all apps" icon...

Mind if I ask how your modded background bar stuck, then? I changed that as well, just to see if I could get anything to stick, and it's stayed transparent....

I did that in the M10 code. I have something I wrote up on how to edit the navbar. Let me see of I can dig it up.
PM sent.
Don't worry about it...thanks anyway.
Very frustrating when HTC keeps changing all this crap so nobody can mess with it (guess that's the point).

So I was tinkering with some stuff trying to get a semi transparent app drawer to work. I got that to work and now have a close to perfect setup for my device. The only thing wrong now is that my app shortcuts on the lockscreen are missing. I've tried numerous things to get it back to no avail. I was trying to hold off from performing a hard reset. Does anyone know of a way to reinstall the lockscreen itself without having to hard reset? Everything else is so nice that I'm almost considering leaving it as is. Thanks in advance.

I actually really like what you have there. I've been working to remove the shortcuts ... lol. Do you think you could send me or post your APKs?
And yes ... if you pull the APKs from the stock ROM, you can use ADB or a File Manager to import the APKs back into the ROM. It will restore the original setup.
Thanks
fix
i think that you could probably take the setup that they have for the glass skin and apply that to your current work they have a transparent lock screen i believe

Any chance you want to share that background?
As far as fixes the only one I would know would break your transparent lock bar so I am not sure
I removed in my phone several apps but in menu still is a entry for Sprint ID, then i want remove or replace the default app for this button, in another words replace shortcut destination/folder for when i select/open Sprint ID instead open other app.
In this menu (example):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thanks.
I'm sorry, what?
Most custom launchers like Launcher Pro will allow you to hide apps from the app drawer, but for the Menu, I am unclear on what you are trying to do.
Are you trying to add a shortcut to the sub menu? I don't see Sprint ID anywhere on that screen-shot, confused on what exactly you're trying to replace.

This screenshoot is not mine but that menu open with same key in my phone, i´m not sure which name is.
Oh, okay. You mean this.
Yeah, the only way I got around it was installing a replacement launcher.
If there's a way to replace that option on the menu, I'm sure that it'll need to be flashed over, and at that point you might as well try out another ROM
Something like this, which is a stock rom that has been de-blurred, and most of the Sprint bloatware removed.

Or you can run this script that will de-cruft your current rom.

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

Technically that would mean that you mustn't uninstall TouchWiz ?

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...

hey so i have the T-Mobile Galaxy s5
there isn't to many downloadable mods out there at this time, I'm sure it's because it's still fairly new
among the mods i usually like to add to my phone that i have had to make on my own is a Launcher mod
i usually have it setup as a 4X5 grid size, page indicators at the bottom & no wallpaper scrolling
I don't know how to mod apks but i read a tutorial on how to do it and as i looked for the SecLaucher3.apk file on my phone it was nowhere to be found
please let me know if you know where it is or if your willing to help with the apk modding

Decompile it first using apktool or something like it then you can edit the png or the value files in /values of the APK. I'm not going to explain all this in this thread, but there are multiple tutorials on how to decompile apks and mod them.
I know this can be achieved by replacing images in Systemui.apk. But that's a heck of work and last time when I tried that, Touchwiz started showing errors. Even after replacing the backed-up Systemui.apk errors wouldn't stop. Therefore I had to re-flash stock Rom.
This could be achieved by Xposed, which apparently isn't compatible with Samsung ROMS ATM. So I was wondering, if there's any other way to change status bar icons?
thanks
