I know this is a noob question but i wish to know that which kernel is best for LG Opyimus One.
Any kernel available with OC\UV both?
Currently I'm using ta-gb-1.2 hotfix with CyanogenMod 7.2.0 Kang.
I think:
[IN DEVELOPING][KERNEL] ThunderVN
[KERNEL][GPL][23 FEV - #4] franco.Kernel | 2.6.35.10
Depends on your needs....If you want some raw performance, go for fserve's V20a kernel, which is based on Franco's. If you want good multitasking than some of Franco's and Paulo's are well. If you're on ICS, I recommend TA kernel ............

Roq3 kernel is the best.

No 'best kernel' or 'best rom' thread please. Try and use one u feel best for you. Read respective threads and decide.

Hi, I'm writing here because I've not messagges enough to write in development. I'm using NightlyFourE rom 3.7 and I've changed kernel because with cyano stock kernel my proximity sensor doesn't work. I've tried to use rome bfs vsync off kernel by zacks but it doesn't work so I've flashed paolom70 kernel modified by roq3. It works great but gameplay sucks. Someone could suggest me a kernel with good gameplay working on this rom? Thanks everybody and sorry my bad scholastic english

Use franco's .35 2OCT version or stock CM kernel..
I would also use franco's Kernel.
You can download it right here in the P500 Developers Forum.
Since it now seems Doomlord, Cobrato and Oodie have all moved on and will not be continuing their wonderful kernel related contributions to the X10 community, I wondered if there was anyone with the requisite skills and desire to modify the new FXP109 and later CM7/CM9 Kernels to allow for higher clock speeds. My personal experience is that clocking at 1.19GHz is perfectly stable and makes a very noticeable difference in performance. Hopefully someone can and will do it.
Thanks,

Overclock
Well i would be pleased if the developers would add overclocking
Anyway, it's stable and nice!
Thanks in advance!
Just use Rom toolbox or something with a kernel that allows oc

OC
MIUI currently does not support other kernels than FXP 109.

For FXP users you must have the fxp kernel, which has a small oc to 1036, but i agree with the OP, it would be magic if someone with the skill could provide a kernel that works on fxp based roms but has a little more oc and i/o options (smartassv2 is a popular choice)

Yes, I remember reading your post last year. It was a gutsy move Maverick. And I know FXP won't do it, nor would I expect it. However there has to be someone with the skills to mod the New FXP kernel just as Cobrato did for old FXP kernel. O/C performance differential is more noticeable on CM than on stock to me. It really livens it up. And my internet is out until Monday, so I'm tethering off of my X10. Trying to be frugal but still used over half a gig today. No Netflix till Monday. One interesting thing is that I was able to download FXP113 from uploaded.to last night while tethered without using a tunnel or proxy. Hopefully someone with the skill to do so will mod the new FXP kernel and post it. CM7 is pretty mature by now and would benefit from it. 45 Mflops maybe?

if you want a headsup on how things work ...then its like this....
we need doomkernel (oc version)
then we need to unpack kernel (using doom's tool itself)
and we do the same with fxp's kernel
now we put portions of fxp kernel's ramdisk into doom's one....
repack things, create ftf..and flash.....aaaaaaand hope it boots
i hav some progress (no details I'm giving now) but things are looking up.
as of now I'm looking to buy a cheap non-android phone to use as daily and start using my x10 only as development option

Try to use franco kernel conservative or roq kernel with thachtungahn ts drivers
http://www.mioptimusone.com/foros/showthread.php?tid=646
In my opinion, roq kernels are very good!
If you want more performances, try pp kernel
http://perfectpeso.x.gg/
It's quite good too, maybe a bit less battery friendly
Of course, tin order to increase performances, you have to flash some tweaks, you can find them here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529777
I guess u can try something like a modified stock version.
Ex: Resurrection, Optimus1 origins etc,,, which not only give you better battery life but also the feel of a custom ROM. I personally like the Optimus1 Origins 2.1 version as it is quite stable.
Sooner or later, everyone should realize that no rom is perfect as the definition of perfect varies for everyone. With that being said, a stock rom (or a slightly modded one) would be very suitable.

Hey guys thanks for the advice I'll try these roms but I would rather prefer default stock rom with some tweaks like changing kernel!!! I didn't like optimus origins cuz I get an error of some setting force close and apn problem in saving!!!!!

use openoptimus rom by bytecode.Best custom rom based on stock.
Best Rom for Battery Life?
The Talhos Rom GTR is the best so far, anyone think the same?
Tested many kernels......
I have tested many kernels and stock based roms......
I think Dynamite 4.5G and ta-gb 1.2 is the best combination...
Also DjNoxd kernel works well....
Franco kernel gives gr8 battery life.....but has bugs like random boots and storage card not detecting wen exit frm mass storage mode.....(can use if u want battery and have wifi to exchange files)
RoQ kernel is gr8 performance but battery life is not that good....(gr8 for gaming)
I recommend dynamite bcoz it is already tweaked and camera n other stock apps work gr8....

That's why I use Optimus Origins 2.0 version (sorry as I said 2.1 earlier by mistake) The latest update has that force close bug but the 2.0 is pretty smooth. And regarding APN, you just need to send a message to your operator in order to get the apn settings and once you get it, you can back it up for future use.
I use Optimus Origins 2.0 with the ICS theme (created for Dynamite) and I can't ask for more
+1 for Dynamic rom 4.5G. The battery life so good.

It's the only kernel thread of thachtunganh (link to all threads he started). I think just the name changed.
If you want to know exactly just write him a PN.

Im currently using Android Revolution HD 29.0... Its working very good on my I9300. Very fast and stable!
If you want a total stock rom with no mods i would recommend Viking way: Its only 364 MB with all bloat removed.
The kernel i like the most is stock kernel (Which comes on Android Revolution HD) But if you are looking for a custom kernel that supports overclocking go for Siyah Kernel
Siyah is very old now.
