I think that CHROME is availible only for android and iphone not for wm
Android Version
Thank you for your prompt reply.
So my only solution to run Chrome it is to move to Android
Will you please advice me how difficult it is to install maybe a dual boot
in an HTC HD2.
I´m not an expert but I think that I can follow a set of steps to implement the Android 4.0 .

just to let you know netfront v3.5 browsing (fast and smooth for 195Mhz processor and given pathetic-ram of prophet) better than opera 9 on wm6.1 its speedy and takes less memory. anyone has more better browsing experiance with other browsers could also tell in this thread.
operamini is the best of the best.
opera mini i installed a jar jad version but it do not uses wifi ,it uses gprs instead ,may be i need a direction or a link to the one which you use and which let wifi be also used

thank you i checked mine is opera 1(jad jar) may be thats why it does not use wifi .
plus i got this info
mostly opera 8.5 for ppc in a full fledge browser with almost all the functin of desktop counterpart...and opera mini is a proxy server based browser with some limited capability....opera mini use a middle server to process ur request and then it compress the webpage u requested before sending it to ur phone...in other hand opera 8.5 for ppc doesn't use any proxy server of mid server it work with direct connection to the web server...
as a result generelly opera 8.5 is slow to load the pages when opera mini load a page faster..(as it compress the data before loading) but opera mini doesnt support all the bell and wishtel of a complet web browser...
finally if u want a browser with a high speed and clean and user friendly then go 4 opera mini but if you need all the functions such as opening two pages at a time oo support for flash of java then go for opera 8.5 or netfront...
i can't guess till now what does netfront v3.5 use.

there's the way for opera 8.5 ppc version to act like opera mini...remaining all of its functions...("compress the webpage u requested before sending it to ur phone")
opera mini uses passkey to connect to its compressing middle server...all u have to do is to obtain this passkey and to configure your 8.5 to connect through proxy to middle server. (by the way...the same can be done for desktop opera...good method for those who are short in internet traffic)
sorry for my bad english guys ))
opera 8.65
i use opera 8.65 for WM5 or 6 or apa la gitu.. (2779) until now its ok ok aja tuh... if u want to request, i'll give u "complete",hehehhee...

Radio version : 02.19.21
Protocol version : 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version : ShadoW 2.0 TE
thanx i have opera 8.65,opera 9.5, i dont have "apa la gitu" and i also do not have opera 4 java version, which i desperatly need to give a try ,before i finally declare netfront v3.5 as the winner.
Best browser in my opinion is operamini v4 (which i am using). It is also easy to install. Just open on your mobile the current browser you have and put on address line www.operamini.com and then just download (it small and fast).
i got opera mini 4 from website 2 questions
1. is this free
2. do we have to put some wifi port address cause still it can't access internet via wifi, the progress bar is taking ages here to open nothing .[SOLVED] thanx.
used it , i miss tabs and image quality ,a sacrifice for prophets pathetic-RAM
I use only NF 3.5 its far far best.
No to IE , no to Opera.
well i recoment you not to download operamini from the website. just from your existing browser write on address bar www.operamini.com and follow the instructions and your done. its easy.
how about mozilla firefox mobile --> MINIMO ?? hehehee...
i think the best browser is opera mini....
Don't say Minimo. Last time i used it, .5 , it was crap. Only time ever I prefered IE to Firefox. Must say, I'll try operamini, but PSP has better browsing to Opera, and PSP browser is based on NetFront, so I'll give that a whirl. When I get around to flashing CloudyFa's New rom.
At operamini.com is also a beta (4.1) available with new features.
There are two download files:
Standard Opera Mini 4.1 beta JAR (116 KB)
Standard Opera Mini 4.1 beta JAD (4 KB)
1. What is the difference between them.
2. I installed the program, and to run it, it seems to be I need to first start:
Esmertec Jbed, and within that I can launch opera.
Is it also possible to start Opera directly without starting this javalauncher?

this is the best lite rom i think rightnow
the one you just got linked to above, i just tried the past 2 days and its a load of crap compared to the one i just linked to you.
This rom gps fix way faster
battery life is the best yet
fastest yet
no tf3d
but i recomend using this on your today instead
in order
time
spb weather
tasks
messages
programlauncher
today agenda
WSK TASK LIST use for launching programs and closing them
if you bind task launcer to the PPT button for press (not hold) it will be really easy to launch all apps, along with program launcher, and occasional use of start menue.
Hey,
I`ve just bought HD2 and I see that I can install Android software.
1.Is this ROM bugless on HD2? If not, what is the biggest bugs?
2.Can I install and run Android games, apps on Android ROM?
3. What is the best navigation software for android phones?
Sorry of my bad English,
thanks for answers
You'll find your answers in these forums - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928
This forum is for Winmo ROM developement, so before it gets closed or moved by a moderator, go to the correct forums.
As for answers:
1. Not even Winmo is bugless. Read some of the threads of the android roms and you'll see the bugs. Not all roms are the same.
2. Yes
3. Don't use so can't comment

Why dont you try some of the sd builds - they are super easy to install - if you read and do what the guides say.
Then you can makeup your mind.
WinMo is good. If you only use the phone and HTC Sense apps.
Android is another experience. You have the games, video, music and ton of apps in the market.
One drawback is the office apps are only viewers, not editors and you have paid version editors in the market as opposed to free office suite in WinMo.
Here you can start:

3. FOR ME!!!! Best navigation is IGO(Motonav) or Copilot.
Both work great for me.
Hey all, I need to know how I can remove the Windows live app from my HTC HD2 running winmo 6.5, that I recently installed the "Maxsense Energy Rom" on. It came with the older version of Windows Live, and I would like to use the new one available 11.1, I believe, but you can not do this without removing the old version first, it will not work. So, bottom line is, How do you remove an app from windows mobile 6.5 that came in a cooked rom?
P.S.
I love this sight, I have learned alot, I am running a T-Mobile, HTC HD2 with winmo
6.5, with the Maxsense Energy Rom, as well as Android Gingerbread 2.3.
Thanks
You would need to unpack the rom into a kitchen, remove the app, rebuild then flash it again,
sadly most (all) cooked roms are protected and wont unpack into the kitchen.
so, the easiest option is ask your chef if they would kindly
a)make you one without that app
Or
b)let you have a copy of the kitchen
You can also try
c) dump the phone into .raw files with psdread, then use a kitchen to convert those back into a cookable format.(not 100% sure this works with cooked roms.)
can you not unpack the cab & manually transfer files to overwrite existing files using resco explorer or total commander !
I do not know why cooks load these type of apps in ROM, would make more sense to implement them via cabs at second boot thus allowing easy upgrade/removal as users require.

Hi,
You don't need to remove it, I installed v11 over the top of cooked in v10 yesterday and have no ill effects whatsoever. (I can use the Bing section, Hotmail integration and Messenger with no problems)
Hey thanks for all the responses, As far as installing the new live version 11,
you can install it, and the app goes on the phone, but when you open it using the new icon, it only opens the old version. They look very similar, but are not.
Check your version, and make sure it's 11, and not 10.7. Or... I am having a different issue than you are??? Either way, I think I will live with the old version for now, if I need to "Re-cook" The rom in order to just upgrade an app that does work. Thanks guys!!!
I recently got myself a new phone called lg-l54c and I downloaded flash for armv6 but it didn't work on my default browser. So I searched the Market now known as Playstore for a compatible browser and I found that most browsers that said they were flash compatible would not work with my flash for armv6, so I searched a bit deeper and found a browser called Uc browser developed by ucweb and flash for armv6 worked! But I wanted to have my default browser to support flash for armv6 but I have not gotten it to. Throughout the market the only supporting browsers I found are Boltbrowser and UC web browser. I also searched the internet and found a browser called Firefox alpha but Firefox alpha is a very laggy browser so I really would rather use my default browser but like I said I can't get flash for armv6 working on my default browser please help me in doing so.
Try to search and download Dolphin Browser HD. It has an integrated flash on it. Hope that help .
Flash on ARMv6 is not Adobe supported so any apk you get is something created unofficially. They can be hard to get working on certain devices, some will require a custom ROM IIRC. Perhaps try looking for a flash apk that others have reported as working on your phone.

Flash for armv6 does not work on dolphin hd. Like I said: it only works on Firefox alpha, Uc browser, and boltbrowser. I miss boltbrowser so much! So is there anyway to get my default browser to play flash for armv6? My version of flash is flash 11.0 armv6.
I Concur
Yes it doesn't work on the stock nor Dolphin HD browser.
Currently using Firefox Beta with no problems
