[Q] TBH inspired hotspot hack update? - Motorola Droid X2

anybody try the new TBH hotspot hack that comes in zip form instead of using radiocomm?

ok, so I guess maybe I'll give it a shot myself since the soak doesn't seem to be coming

I tried to flash it but it aborted. I assume your talking about the d3 zip correct?

yeah, just hadn't gotten around to trying it myself, was hoping it would work since it was just simpler than the radiocomm solution.

Radiocomm isn't to bad just follow the directions and double check before flashing. Worst case you have to sbf and start over.

[Q] Has anyone tried this loopy script?

Anyone tried this on X2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137554
No, but just wanted to comment that it looks interesting, would like to stay informed as to what happens with that script.
One other thing... I think it said that you use cwm to install the scripts, but we don't have official cwm yet... Just bootstrap...

[q] please help-think i bricked

I was trying to install something in BSR and ended up seeing what all the settings did. Now I realize this was a VERY bad idea. My phone only turns on when connected to the charger or pc. I cannot get into RSD to SBF...that is like all I know how to do in case of emergencies. Anyways I can press up for fastboot or down for nvflash...both of which I have no idea how to work and stuff. Plus all I have found on nvflash is with tablets! Is there a way to get out of this or do I need to play dumb and hope I can get a new phone at VZW? Thanks for trying to help in advance...I dont even have the 10 posts to ask in the development forum.
This forum is fine. Fastboot is used to flash. I'm sure since you van get into fastboot there is something you can do. I don't know enough about it to help too much though. Can you get into adb?

Um sorry about my noobishness...i never used adb to do anything before so i dont know how to start it.

Most likely not. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge than I drops in. What exactly did you do in the recovery? Were you formatting partitions?

Android gods, lend me your ears!!!

It's seems and I'm not when or why but Rom built it install kernels for s on phone is not loading the ph98img file, at least not for me when it use to. Also my computer no longer recognizes fastboot, I get a device not found message. The only way I've been able to install kernels is zips thru recovery then bootloader will work. This is all new, I'm not a noon but never experienced this before. All suggestions are greatly appreciate ...

This is in the wrong section. And also if fastboot doesnt work you should try reinstalling the drivers.
Edit: RUUing also helps with issues, if it will load the RUU. If not im not sure but i think you can use a exe RUU but im not sure if there are any made for ics.

Just fyi, this should not have been posted in development. So since that has been said hopefully flaming wont start.
I had issues with fastboot when using the oem cord or mhl micro usb cord. I still use a regular micro usb cord.

If you downloaded HTC sync to get the drivers then look in the bottom right corner on your taskbar and find the HTC sync icon, right click and exit it

Need Radio / kernal?

Hey guys I've been trying to figure out why my rezound ( after root and s-off) has some crappy signal I have 1 bar and low data service almost everywhere but when I'm outside sometimes even then. From what I can collect its because I never installed a new radio or kernal. I'm not exactly sure what they are though or where to download them. ( sorry it may sound stupid but I'm lost at this point and have given up hope) I also saw something that said a radio is in a kernal. I have cyanogen mod 9 right now with the ics update and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of a kernal/radio good for my phone. I'm computer savy installing it won't be an issue but I'm just lost as to where to get it. I appreciate the help on this.

This might sound stupid, but after taking the battery cover off to do the S-Off trick, did you make sure it was back on all the way? the antenna for the rezound is on the battery cover.
Check your antenna tabs and make sure there are none broken off or damaged.

This here would mean I could just flash the files over right? I believe my phone came with ics. It is s off and all I did was install cyanogen 9 with CWM. Did those flash new firmware? It may sound dumb but I just wanna make sure.

No. You can only flash firmware with a PH98IMG.zip or an RUU.
