[Q] Help regarding new APN for reverse tethering - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

HI guys,
I use the USB tunnel app and program ( Which I got from XDA ) To reverse tether my ace. By enabling the GPRS i was able to download from Play using tethering. ( No cost ) But now when i try to download in play or go launcher it uses the GPRS and i get charges.
So is there any way to create a new APN which don't work but the GPRS is enabled. So i think it will use the USB Network . Please help. I am using Vodafone India

How to fix tethering problem with UNROOTED phone.

Hi all, first at all sorry for my english it's not my mother language.
Like some people, the wifi tethering doesn't work with my motorola razr (XT910 GSM rom : 651.73.30.xt910.nonefigdRetail.en.EU [android 2.3.5] ). I'm on "free mobile" (french provider). After searching on the web most of solutions need to root the device.
This trick has enable the tethering on my device (only WIFI, usb seems not to be work).
You have to set 2 different APN (one for MMS and an over for the web) :
For the mms one please refer to your provider to know the access IP, MMC ,....
Concerning the web APN, you have to enter this field and leave the others as defaults depending on your provider:
-APN type : "default,dun" (respect the syntax)
The dun property enable dial up networking (android API documentation jdk 16...).
I hope this trick can help you and please post a message if your phone support now the tethering with this config.

I tested and working.
I configured my APN type to default,dun,mms which I able to send MMS just using single APN.

Great news
Ok, my friend try this on his ICS GSM Razr and it works fine for both WIFI and USB tethering. APN type set as default,dun.
Can confirm fixed my Mobile hotspots issue on XT910.Retail.en.EU 2.3.5

Fixes my mobile hostpot issue on XT910.AmericaMovil.en.01 2.3.6. Haven't tested USB tethering yet.
I'm using this in India on Airtel, in case it helps anyone else.

that's a bit strange.
Pre-installed from my SIM card, I have 2 APNs...
1st is for default, mms, supl, agps, fota
2nd is for dun
What is that tethering problem ? (so I can test if my settings are good)

[Q] how to enable 2G mode

hello to all i have recently purchase a tab but there is a problem with the internet connection when ever i plug my dongle it only catches 3G network
not 2G i have tried to go to setting but i can't find anything i have found there is a option in access point to connect with ehrpd network and lte network there is nothing like 2g or Gprs help me to find it guys i need it !

3G data access no working on a n7100

I bought two phones one a N7100 Chinese clone with 4.1.9 and another Phone running 2.3.3. Insert Sim card in both and APN info. Is set by the network but neither will allow any data access.
Check settings with provider (Smart) they say the settings are correct but still no data access (wifi access works fine)
Here is the weird thing if I put the n7100 in hotspot mode other devices can access 3G data(internet) when connected to it. How can that be ? Isn't Hotspot mode using the same apn settings as when accessing the net directly?
Can someone explain what's going on behind the scene with both. Oust trying to figure out why data access one way but not the other on the same device.

[Q]BBM -no connection error

Hi, one of my friends has s3 . He recently installed Bbm on his set and find that unable to connect with server .He was using 3G network. All other apps working well on that network. Without wifi bbm not working .Any solution? Help us.

Edit your apn, delete all. Except name & apn.

Well, I have an issue with my ISP (3G connection), I am registred in a PLAN like this:
UNLIMITED 3G FACEBOOK + TWITTER + WHATSAPP
UNLIMITED 2G FOR THE REST​
The point is, what method (VPN, PROXY, >>> ) I can use to tunnel ALL my connection through FB or TW or WA servers ???
I mean, is that possible.. well, it is possible because i am using PSIPHON but is is not stable and it dont give you that option of tunneling through my UNLIMITED 3G access >>>
