problem w uninstalling stock apps - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

hi, wonder any of u got such situation dat no matter hz i uninstall e few name apps: football downloads, recommender, wisepoilot and officesuite 5, den after a restart on the phone, it will automatically come back into the apps???
had nvr had such issues b4 with my rest of android phone

did you uninstall by the standard procedure
so get the rootexplorer system\app\ then delete it
]use the flashtool cleaner

I used manage applications in settings to uninstall. Only recommender stayed behind as I was unable to uninstall it because it did not have the uninstall button. The rest did not come back after reboot.

i too used manage applications in settings to uninstall, bt after a restart, all come back... cant root, so cant freeze e apps. wondering y like dat??? using root explorer think required root which i dun hav cos too new, dun wan void warranty at e moment. haiz

This reminds me of the problem we had with Arc:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326733
In any case, I have no issues uninstalling the apps. Rebooted and they do not reappear.

I wanted to use Titanium to un-install but like you, I don't want to root because the phone is too new and will void the warranty. Maybe after a month or 2 when there is really no problem with the phone, I will root it. There's just too much bloatware included.

[Q] rooted x10i R2BA026 apps remove help!!!

hello, i've tryed every way i could find to remove moxier quadrapop and other apps from my rooted x10i but it always says faild and i cant remove them. also can i remove them from titanium backup and how?
thank you.
Well open titanium.. if it says its rooted and everything just continue to middle tab n just uninstall whatever u want although pre-notice, there are some sly apps in there that are connected elsewhere such as mediascape, timescape, etc.. so be careful about them. read up on them before even thinking about removing them! just use search.
It will tell you if it needs busybox to check root status. allow it to download n stuff n shouldnt be long before you find out.
Titanium allows you to backup apps n certain data files so you can most likely restore them if things mess up along the way. P-s, it can't backup the stock apps tho so don't try that one. to uninstall just click on any app n hit uninstall.. simple really!
If you have the full version then id suggest using the freeze option instead of uninstalling (within the same option dialog) this is bit like uninstalling but without actually getting rid of things. useful for stock apps. if you freeze something n somehow your phone starts to crash more often then you can defrost without a prob.
Wow.. wrote soo much lol just mentioned things of top of my head! hope it helps!!

How to...?

I have few questions, I don't know if they have been allready answered, I tried searching but with no luck....anyway:
1. Is it possible to extract installation files of app. I downloaded from Android market so I can store themn on PC,so I don't have to download them every time I hard reset my phone.
2. How to export/import Opera Mobile 10.1 bookmarks.
3. Is it possible to disable option in home screen "tap and hold" to add more widgets, because I often excedently keep messing up order of widgets in my pocket and even when I scrool with finger.
4. How to uninstall or at least delete icons in menu of preinstalled demo games and apps.

You can use Root Explorer and have your phone rooted so you can delete the apps you dont need or copy them from system to sdacard and of course their icon will disappear.
Search in forum about root and deleting apps.
Or look here... is easy to found if you look for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840356

Uhmm... They r not the same, titanium is like an app manager and root explorer is a explorer, like astro. Yes, you can uninstall with titanium but for unintalling system apps or those that come by default you may need to be root. Havent tried to do it with titanium without been root but it think that you need to have your phone rooted. Just try it if it doesnt work you will have to root to delete those apps :S
And.. Why u dont whant to root?

with rooted phone, to uninstall some DEMO SE apps. and games is it enough to go to /system/apps and delete .apk files that I don't need or is there some more files and folders that belong to those apps. I want to delete....
Yea, delete the apps from /system/app and restart your phone. After that go to Phone settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, you will see some apps with default icons, and default names like "com.android.****" - uninstall them, and there you go. Nothing left. You can also start Titanium Backup, and clear app cache to be 100% sure that nothing is left in the memory.

Remove Facebook from STOCK unrooted Flyer

Is there any way to remove Facebook from my unrooted stock HDC Flyer (Best Buy 16GB WiFI)?
It keeps asking me to agree to the licensing and no matter what I select, it comes up every couple of days.
It's dRivING me nuTZ!!!!!!!!
The only way that I know of that you can remove "bloatware" is being rooted, and using an app like Titanium Backup or using adb in Android SDK to remove it. If Uninstall is grayed out in Menu - Settings - Manage Applications area for FB, then root is required.
the only way is rooting your device and install root uninstaller on it and injoy

[Q] how to remove certain programs

I have games on my S2 called Uno and N.O.V.A.. They came with the recent ICS upgrade from Bell Canada. How can I remove these programs. I have tried going in under applications and trying to remove them but I don't have the option. My only option is to clear data or move them to phone.
The only way is to root your phone then you can use a program like Titanium backup to freeze or uninstall any application.

Root your phone, then download Root Explorer or similar app from Google Play Store, and then navigate to /system/app directory, make sure your phone has read/write permissions, and delete them. If you don't want to root your phone, your stuck with them then.
Chris.
I tried your suggestion and it worked great. Thanks for the advice.

remove unwanted gapp

hi, i want to remove unused google apps installed in /system/app (play magazine , play video, play music ecc...) AND removing them i free the phone from services running in background and killing battery, ALSO i don't use them so i DON'T want them (don't say i can disable it's not the same)
my phone i rooted (XT1524 with 6.0) but if i delete the update and remove the app from /system/app using a tool like root explore or es file manager phone goes in bootloop.
there is a way to remove those app?
Only by unlocking your bootloader, then root yo device and you are good to go. Titanium Backup or something like that.
you have to be careful. Try with Titianium.

my phone is unlocked and rooted (i said it in my opening post), it's impossible to delete something in /system if the phone don't have root access....
so...
the problem remain: deleting google play apps result in a bootloop
