Google is your friend. Also there is an app in he market called APN backup/restore. Works well.

hi,
few days back i rooted my razr xt910 australia optus version.,
now i've noticed that when phone goes to sleep mode the wifi connection drops out and the moment when i press power button and unlock then it will get wifi signal again.. this is so frustrating and annoying can any one have any idea what could be the problem?
i have rooted the fone and i have rom, titaninum backup and root manaager on phone
any help would be appreciated.
When you refer to the phone sleeping, are you referring just hitting the lock/power button, or long pressing and selecting sleep mode? If it's the latter, then it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
Go to settings - wireless - wifi settings - press menu key and select "advanced"
There is an item in the menu called "Wifi Sleep Policy" - go there and check if "never" is selected...
thanks heaps guys,,
how come i missed to check that advanced menu settings...
great help

Hey.
So my S2 broke and I've been using my mums S2.
Hers is a contract one but I just unlocked it and have been using my Pay As You go SIM in it.
It's from a company called 48, in Ireland.
The Mobile Data just wont work on it.
48 says their config is:
Tap the Menu key
Tap Settings
Tap Wireless & network
Tap Mobile networks
Make sure that the Use packet data box has a green tick in it (tap box to change)
Tap Access Point Names
Tap the Menu key
Tap New APN
Tap Name then tap the text box and enter 48 Internet then tap OK
Tap APN then tap the text box and enter 48months.liffeytelecom.com then tap OK
Skip past Proxy as this simply has to be left blank
Skip past Port also, another that has to be left blank
Skip past Username, another that has to be left blank.
Skip past Password also, that has to as well, be left blank.
Skip past Server as this is preset as Not Set
Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmc1/servlets/mms then tap OK
Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 10.1.11.19 then tap OK
Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 272 then tap OK
Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 11 then tap OK
Leave Authentication type blank.
Tap APN type and tap Internet + MMS
Press the Menu key
Tap Save
Tap the circle next to 48 Internet so a green dot appears in it
Press the Back key four times to return to the main menu.
However this doesn't work.
Also for that step that says "Tap APN type and tap Internet + MMS", that doesn't work as it asks me to enter text in
They also said to use a program called APN Backup + Restore to delete the current APN, but since the S2 is on ICS I can't use that app.
Any help here?
did you try calling them? sometimes they can push the APN settings via sms
I have a samsung galaxy player 4.2. Everything works except wifi and bluetooth. I could try to fix it, but I can't seem to find where the antenna is located. If any one has any info, please let me know.

If you're using stock ROM's, it's just Menu button -> settings -> wifi or bluetooth.
If you're using 4.x, pull down from the status bar. Click the settings icon in the extreme top right of the screen. Press and hold down "wifi off". A list of available wifi hotspots/routers should appear. Choose yours the normal way. You should also be able to do this:
Menu button -> settings -> hold for two seconds either the wifi or bluetooth buttons to select.

We don't have 4.x ROMs for the 4.2. This appears to be a hardware problem, because I am sure he would have tried switching on the wifi and bluetooth.
