The battery is worth the extra bulk/weight

Not good got my first bootloop today but i did a restore of CM9 and it was back to normal it might have been something else besides that great battery

Hey guys I'm running a similar extended battery and I just broke the back that came with it. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or maybe even a link to buy spare back pieces.

Thanks man but that looks like a case for the phone with the battery and back already in. I mean I broke the plastic door that keeps the battery from falling out, or are you suggesting I use this case as a spare door? Not sure if I'd like that too much..

I currently have a Trident Aegis, and I don't feel safe without having a hybrid (or impact safe) case on my phone. Does this fit even with the battery on? And if not, can you recommend a good case that does?

Gorilla Gadgets 3400 Mah Extended Battery (with a stockish cover!)

http://gorillagadgets.com/htc-evo-3d-extended-life-battery-3400-mah.html
Looks good! Not like the Seidio cover (yuk). I will post more when I receive mine in the mail and run a comparison.
Not bad for 27.99 if the battery is what its advertised at.
UPDATE 10/3/11
Received a replacement from Gorilla Gadgets due to battery contact issues and a cracking cover...BE WARNED, THE NEW REPLACEMENT IS A "Wedge" COMMON TO THE eBay SPECIALS! THE BATTERY IS ALSO SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER (in size) BUT A STICKER PULL REVEALS 1650x2 = 3300MAH (less than advertised!) NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!
Man I don't like that hump at all!
I still think that the eBay extended battery doors look the best.

Mike! Long time no talk to! I ordered an ebay one for additional comparison. Can't afford nor do I want the Seidio (maybe just the battery)

Glad you hit me up on GTalk bro!
Yea I'm not a fan of the Seidio door or price tag either. The battery though is probably the best extended available. Seidio battery with eBay door would be the setup that I would like.
I didn't use my extended battery for my Evo 4G enough for me to justify buying one for the 3D though. I have 2 Galilio 2000mah ( more like 1300mah) already and 2 Anker 1930mah on the way. I'll just keep a couple extra batteries with me if I ever think I'll be away from a charger long enough to need one. I'm using WTSB 1.3 Rom and get around 20 hours Up and 8 hours Awake with my normal usage. That is more than enough for me 95% of the time..
I have a car charger in each of my 3 vehicles, a wall charger and dock at home, and a wall charger at work. Very rarely do I need more battery life than 1 full charge.

I read that as well but the person didnt back up how they know it was only 2600mah. Only way to tell is to pull stickers or test.
It is ugly, but compared to the "door wedge" from Seidio and the fact that I can put my TPU case on it (with a little modification) its a winner for me. I have the cheapo eBay cover coming as well with the "no chance in hell" 3500mah battery. Pics will follow!
http://www.expansys.com/expansys-extended-battery+back-cover-for-htc-evo-3d-3400-mah-220468/
Just ordered one of these from Expansys UK, it looks exactly the same as the Gorilla, without the branding sticker, I will be interested to see if it is the reported 3400mah especially for £11.99!
I actually like the gorilla backing. It looks better than all I've seen so far. At least the whole thing is not a brick.

Now to test the battery life. I did a sticker pull and found each battery has a 1700 on it! 1700 X 2 = 3400mAH as advertised. Excellent.

Seido 3200mAh Extended Life Battery

During my search for an extended battery this came up on amazon. http://amazon.com/gp/product/B0069RT8HO/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details From the reviews I've read it appears to have a slower discharge rate compared to cheaper batteries. The specs for the back door are not listed but it appears to have a nice finish. Since I went with the amazon option I may have to wait a couple weeks to receive it, I'll post details when I do.
Edit: Says it adds 1.13cm to the phone size so I'm guessing similar to the GTMax cover size but with a better fit and finish.
Hard to tell from the picture, but it seems to me that it looks better than some of the others I have seen.
Post some pics when you get it, I am seriously interested.
Nice find!

What I have found with covers like this is to put the top edges in first and hold tension on them while you snap the bottom in.
I would absolutely get this battery, only problem is I NEED a case to protect my phone... I can't hit the streets without something to protect my Precious... Therefore, I can only go with stock-sized batteries... Which honestly kinda sucks....

Nice Battery
I have had this battery since my wife got it for me on Christmas. She also got me the Taurus Bumper and I do not have any issues with it fitting properly. I can even take the battery out with the bumper on it.
Battery is well worth the money, you get what you pay for.
I finally tried to install the battery but the back cover fits poorly on the one I received. I've already sent a return request to the seller. Dust and dirt could definitely get into the phone with the gaps it leaves. It's sad because I love the soft touch cover on the back cover, and the Neo Hybrid Ex does fit with the battery.

QCell X-Life 5600mAh battery?

Hi
Anyone tried the QCell X-Life 5600mAh battery?
http://www.amazon.com/QCell-Samsung...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339607284&sr=1-1
Looks like they have a 4150mAh and also 5600mAh and this is OEM grade. Anyone can comment?
Thanks
Ill try it. What is the back? The kind with the battery butt, or is the entire back large? I'd prefer the entire back. If that's the case I'm willing to give it a go

I'm going to have to say the battery butt, because I bought the Q-Cell 4150 mAh extended battery and it looked exactly the same as the one listed above.

I ordered two of these extended battery and neither of the back covers fit. Also, the package does say 5100mAh instead of the 5600mAh that is listed on Amazon website. I called Amazon about this and they are checking on it.
Still is this battery any better than the other ones out there that state "5400" mah? That's what I would live to know?

There are several of the 5x00 batteries out there. I bought the <$10 and have been very satisfied with its performance. I used Juice Offender on it to drain it and it lasted 5 hours with flash on, white screen on bright, vibration going, CPU maxed out, wifi/BT turned on. Quite impressive.
The fact that the common complaint of the back not fitting leads me to believe these are all likely coming out of the same chineese factory with a different label being placed on them. $10-$20 for a decent multiday battery is hard to complain about.
As for the back not fitting...
snap top side in. Slide fingers down the back from top to bottom clicking the tabs in. It will likely take a few tries but you can usually get it to click in securely if you do it just right, almost massaging from top to bottom. If you just push on the bottom it kinda clicks in until you let go then pops out. Mine did the same thing and I was ticked about it until I found others explaining how you have to mess with it a bit, GOOD LUCK!

It really comes down to personal preferences.... Some don't want the Bulk or don't mind carrying spare batteries or a charging cable.. Some like myself, don't want to deal with all that jazz of having to charge 2-3 batteries for the next day... So, I go for the 7500mAh Batt... It's bigger and heavier but, I only charge once a day and that's when I go to bed ..
