[Q] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737636 HELP!!!! - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i tried to unroot my phone through this method ....i followed the first step and did a downgrade through azuzu's flash tools ........but when i tried to start up my phone for step two it is stuck on the sony ericsson menu
PLZ PLZ PLZ help?!?!?!

unroot for what??
because we need to root our phone to get full control (it's rooted)
anyway just use SEUS to restore everything to normal (stock rom)
(everything should beCOME like first time you getting the phone from SE)

Hey you rom experts out there help me out!!!
Use pc compagnon and flash the good old stock. Otherwise flashtool may also help you.
I did the same like you few weeks ago and this is the only way.

i had similar problem with my phone.I download 'Update_Service_Setup-2.11.5.6' from sony ericsson and follow the instuctions.I lost my data and revert back to original 2.1 rom but i had a live phone ..Then i had to reflash the rom
You won't loose your data if you carefully do backups when playing around with roms

Use Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) To Reflash Stock rom without Root. That should do it.
Just download it and follow the onscreen instructions.

[Q] Xperia X10i Flash Problem "Sin header verification failed"

Hello guys,
I recently tried to root and unlock my x10 using the tutorials posted here , the rooting part went okay however I must have messed something up when I tried to unlock the bootloader as right now, flashtool 0.6.7 won't let me flash anything at all , and keeps on throwing " ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN " at me . Tried with several versions of flashtool, tried S1tool to no avail.
Now I'm stuck with a phone that will not boot at all (only vibrates then goes dead).
Your help and suggestions would be really appreciated as I don't wanna give up on it just yet and take it to a service center (out of warranty so I'm gonna have to pay for it myself).
Could you provide some more information?
Which Rom/version of android were you running?
Which method of unlocking the bootloader did you follow?
Did you try repairing the phone with Sony Ericsson PC companion software?
Try flashing the Stock kernel.
As far as i can tell its nothing you won't be able to fix by yourself (with help from here of course ).
Originally I was running stock 2.3.3 , tried rooting using the method posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087 ; everything went fine during the kernel downgrade process , I ran the SETOOL2.bat script which completed successfully however when I got to the kernel upgrade part , flashtool stopped working. Phone is recognized by PC as a "SEMC Flash device" and the green led lights up but as I said in the first post - won't flash my X10. Tried with both Windows and Linux versions, both give me the same error
I also tried fixing it through SEUS and PC Companion , none of them work, keep on saying my phone already has the latest version installed
Suggestions guys ?
Try repair it this method.. Open sony ericsson pc companion and click on support zone.. Then click on repair phone.. Have you tried this?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
yes , i tried repairing through PC Companion , tried updating through SEUS , both keep on telling me I'm running the latest version. I ended up taking my phone to a repair shop, after I'll pick it up I'm gonna ask the guys there what they did to fix it so I can share it with you.
Wish I had seen this sooner
I was getting into all sorts of trouble when I was rooting my phone, had at least 2 instances where I though I had bricked it (which would not be good!). And your post sounds similar to what I was getting at 1.30am last Thursday!
What I did, and what I recommend is to download one of the stock roms and flash that through the flashtool. Keep the stock rom close by, if anything else happens then it is your safe place.
Once you've flashed with the stock rom. Re-read the flashing instructions carefully and try again.
Here's the Stock ROM I used:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22075170&postcount=413
and flashtool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Thanks for your reply , I tried flashing a stock rom through flashtool 0.6.7 , it didn't work as i was getting the same annoying error. I must admit that it wasn't the same exact rom that you used.
After I get my phone back from the service center I'm gonna try to unlock the bootloader again.
Now I'm curious if your method would have worked
Error - err_severity=
Hello, I have a bricked X10i phone which gave me following error when I tried to flash is using flash tool.
ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
It does get detected with a green blink but I only get a black screen on the phone. I will appreciate any help.

same thing happens to my x10i.. I have red many forums on this topic but it doesnt show a solution...
I think it is a bricked phone already.. need to send it for repair
Why don't you try with latest flash tool 0.8.5 or above.
1. Flash stock 2.3.3.
2. There is a menu in flash tool to root.
3. There is a menu under plugin to unlock bootloader.
Stock rom can flash always. X10 can't be bricked so easily.
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
Since you r already on stock 2.3.3, there is no need to downgrade your baseband.. you need baseband .71 for gingerbread ROMs and the stock ROM is already on it... use SEUS to unroot and flash the stock ROM.. once you r on complete stock try rooting and unlocking using flashtool .9 or the latest version... also install the drivers from the flashtool folder...

It happen because the kernel do not support to ur rom. Install a kernel which supports the ROM....

Bricked/lost phone, how to resurrect?

My Xperia X10 had been running the Xperia PlayBox or whatever ROM for a long period of time, like 4 months. Being 100% stable and nice.. But after seeing that ICS was making its way into Xperia X10 I thought "what about testing it". And thats what I did, put in the new kernel and tried both Spar's and CM's ICS.. Both had problems so I decided I'll just go get 2.3.7.... I got down the Semc Debrand Engine and now I have lost my recovery and just keeps getting stuck.
When I get it to enter flash-mode it stays there for under 10 seconds before it just go to charging screen.
Any solutions?
Got two method for unbricking your X10
Use SuperoneClick together with Flashtool. Use SuperoneClick for Shell Root / Root Shell and if you succeed, you can continue with Flashtool 0.2.91 for Ask Root Perms before you flash any ROM (I highly recommend you to flash the stock 2.3.3 X10 ROM) to your X10. It this method didn't work out, use SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) to reformat your x10 to the stock 2.3.3 ROM.
Good LucK! ;-)
use SEUS or PCC to restore all from stock (like new original phone/os/rom)
and start all over again..
(root,,,,instal recovery,,,unlock bootloader,,,flashing kernel,,,installing rom)
hope this help...

[Q] Can Not Update The Phone

I have a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and I rooted it correctly. Then I try to update the software via PC Companion. When I am trying to update it says "Not Connect to the internet". But I have already connected to the internet with ADSL modem.
Then I try to manually do that. I downloaded and install the RecoverX ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227).
Then I run adb with "adb root recovery" command it says "adbd cannot run as root in production builds"
can anybody help me to figure this out. I am a newbie for these things and help me to update the software.
Thanks
I've never used RecoverX, so I don't know what did you do wrong.
search on the forum for 2.3.3 stock ROM, download it and then flash it with flashtool, check your drivers installed and usb debugging checked. Luck,
you have the drivers if you have pccompanion. download flashtool by bin4ry, its easy to use and can do evrything (but ****iing gold^^)
than search for "dixperia 7 avenger" by dikeJ. there you get 2.3.3 stock rom. or an excellent custom rom
in flashtool, if it can detect your root, install xrecovery (theres a panel "custom recovery installer")
and oit of that recovery you flash the zip file. if you dont have 2.3.3 kernel on your phone (if 2.3.3 is not available in your place), you will first have to flash the stock 2.3.3 kernel (i think also givin in dixperia 7 thread) download it and put it into "firmwares" in tje flashtool folder. then open it, wait till it verified your root and click flash, and chose the kernel. if it doesnt work, unlock
bootloader first (after verified root, click plugins and "unlock bootloader") i suggest you to do this in every way because then you wont have trouble

Hey man you are not supposed to use android sdk to relock your bootloader. There is a relocking ftf which has to be flashed. First flash stock ics, then flash the relocking ftf and reflash the stock ics rom
Then you will be able to update via SEUS or PC COMPANION.

MAn you made a huge error by using pcc, after unlocking your bootloader , sony tells you that do not use pcc and seus or ota updates as they may harm your device, even i do not know how pcc recognized your device, and with custom roms it is even harder to solve, however please can you tell me if cm10 is smooth enough?? anyway here is the solutiuon:1)if you have cwm try flashing a custom rom if a custom rom is available on your sd card or try formating your device. 2) flash the official ics .587 by using the flashtool :http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/38251 , if the drivers are not available for you to use the flashtool , go to help in the flashtool and hit drivers, and to let your device boot in flashmode ( your device should be off, a green light from your LED light should appear after booting to the flashmode) please hold the volume down button while connecting your device to the usb, to flash the ftf of .587 please click on the first button on the left and choose flashmode, then choose the ftf and flash it P.S: I am a newbie but not a noob, I helped a lot of people on sony forums and on gsmarena and other forums, if I helped you please hit thanks

Be sure that you choose the .587 not the .431 from uliwooly's links and if the flashtool shows you errors please try using the flashtool64 ( available in the flashtool folder), you have also another choice, download a new custom rom, use the flashtool in fast boot mode ( hold the volume up button while connecting to the USB connection) and flash the new custom rom , then try flashing the stock rom by flashtool if it doesn't flash it well on your current rom
