You're definitely going to want to pick up a copy of the beta. If you follow SwiftKey on twitter, they're giving a direct link to the apk.
Link for the lazy : Tablet version LINK
Here is for the phone version - LINK
Have been using Swiftkey forever.
Swiftkey is nice, Although the reviews 3 is getting aren't great. A lot are saying it's laggy and their "auto spacing" is goofy to say the least.
Worst part about it... I paid for the X version, but now they will want me to pay again for the 3 version....
Stupid...
I'm enjoying it so far. Makes it easier to type without looking at the keyboard.

I'll try to dig up the Tweet I saw about it, but Twitter is being all wonky at the moment.

The last version was a free upgrade, unless you got it as the free app of the day. I'm a swiftkey vip, so I will find out for sure

That's the one thing I don't like about it. Hopefully they add it back in when the finished product that is released.
Wow I was actually getting kind of bored of SwiftKey x once I figured out how it tried to "learn" how I type and all that. I realized that it's algorithms weren't really that advanced in today's world. But they have done a whole lot better with this beta version. Algorithms and ai is better and I love the whole automatic space bar thing it's lovely. I can practically type perfectly now and never want to use swype again

No comma sucks. I went back already. And it lags in certain apps.

So I updated my Swype today and noticed that the same company has a new program called Dragon Go, which is a lot like Siri for iPhone. So far it seems pretty capable.

The one that popped up in my ICS ROM was truly miniature. This made it the "regular" size.

I tried it as well, and I saw no change in size though the size has always for me been okay. I let it "update" after I played with a bit and the update also looked the same as well.
No difference to me.
my swype has always worked no matter what ICS ROM's I've run - wonder what the underlying problem is
When I've gotten the small keyboard, I just rotate to landscape and back and it fills the screen.
It took me about an hour to go from stock routed GB to CleanROM 4.0. It was well worth it! As for the issue with Swype, I turned the accuracy all the way up and it hasn't happened since.
great work! I'm so glad to have swype back. Thank you so much

Yeah, it's friggen BS.
I'm willing to personally put $100 toward a bounty to fix this.
One of the Swype reps said that it seems to be because of the refresh rate of the Rezound screen, and how Swype deals with it. But since it's not a specialized - for - our - phone build of Swype, that they probably won't spend any time trying to fix it, since our phone is the only one with the problem.
It'll be interesting to see if ONE X has this same issue, and if they address it.
I'm so tired of swype having a touch-break in the middle. I - NO JOKE - almost bought a T-bolt instead of a Rezound once I discovered the bug.
I swype VERY FAST and A LOT and it SERIOUSLY hampers my ability to use this phone. I can't stand it, and it literally wastes minutes of my day, every single day. I'm actually mad about it. It couldn't take more than a couple of hours for Swype to fix, but they don't seem to be interested. I'll pay for a paid version to have it fixed. Or a bounty. I just need it..
I just installed the "S Voice" that comes with the new SGS3 and it works. I found this out from this THREAD and this THREAD. It is ok and looks to work good with our device if you are running an ICS Rom. I am currently on MeanRom ICS v1.0 and it works good. Enjoy
Edit: One that should work after they tried and block us lol.

Just think of it as (dare I say it) Siri. It's pretty simple and easy to use.
Click the bottom-right if you need more help or go into the settings. If I were you, I'd turn of the 'Hi Galaxy' wakeup since it's pointless having to say that every time I want to use it.

It's endorsed by Canonical, so yes. They don't release or distrubute anything closed source. That's the reason you can't get stuff like Oracle Java or Google Chrome as part of Ubuntu without doing the legwork to install it yourself.
The good thing is that by the time we are all bored of jellybean and development has slowed, it will probably be ready to flash on our rezzie. Good reason to keep the phone another year or so. Who else registered their email for info.

Well they did recently add proprietary Nvidia drivers to their official repositories. Not to mention that the mainline kernel does have some blobs in it (of course that's why GNU maintains a version that is open source only).

Hopefully eventually we can get something like Replicant (100% free and open source version of Android).
I'm probably dreaming, though, since we have way too much proprietary hardware.

From what I've seen while looking at videos and whatnot, the experience is totally different. It reminds me of a really fancy Meego. Which is a good thing, imo.
I don't pay much attention to Engadget anymore, but they've a very good video up on Ubuntu for Phones. The founder of Cantonical says that it will be available to download and that "we have a large community, we expect folks will help make images for a variety of different devices." I think that pretty much confirms our open source questions.
