I have 2 Questions...
1.) is steveS ROM only for EU YP-G1 or US also [in his first post, found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377771]
2.)if so, it seems i have flashed it to my GP4 and the home button doesn't work..., are there any fixes for this that are flashable via odin?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If it matters to anyone, the ROM was pretty stable for me except for the capacitive home button.
nvm the problem solved itself, I just flashed a stock rooted rom.

I´ve just flashed my Vibrant to the Eugene´s unbrickable froyo rom and so far I have a couple of issues. I´d like to see if anyone else has them and if they can be resolved.
- Android beyboard is not available.
- The home button functions now as the back button.
Did anyone experience something like this? How did you solve it?
thanks
Rafa

That is an EXTREMELY old version that wasn't even for the vibrant initially..
KA5 is the newest (Find it in the development section..) (Which is for the vibrant)
The problem is that for some reason I´m not able to flash via recovery mode. I can only flash using a TAR rom with Odin. From what I´ve been seeing there aren´t many TAR updates of roms out there
Rafa, That rom is really used only for flashing back stock now. Typically if you had say a Nero 4.1 rom and wanted to go back to stock. If your phone got frozen trying to go Nero>>>Stock JFD you would instead do this:
Flash from NERO to Unbrickable froyo by Eugene then Stock.
Take Master's advice the Newest roms out are in the DEVELOPMENT section
Look them over the newest is the KA5 rom, but the Axura, the Einharjar and Nero are all very good and you would be very happy with any of them.
hope you're not in all that flooding in Rio State
good luck

Make sure it is properly rooted, and you have rom manager, it the rooting is corrupted, then you could have that problem
Thanks, fellas. I´m going to get Rom Manager and try it again. At the moment I have Eugene´s rom and whenever I try to use the recovey mode to flash a different rom (I´ve downloaded Nero V3, which is supposed to be very stable and fast) I cannot select "reinstall packages"...actually I cannot select any option as the ON button doesn´t seem to respond (only the volume rocker buttons).
Oka1, thanks for your kind words. That was very thoughtful of you. Luckly where I live was not afected at all by the rain.
One more question, is there anything wrong with the official roms (http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/sho...firmwares-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S-I9000-Download) ?
Not per se but, i am not sure on which Galaxy format Brazil uses, e.g. which Build
It could be the I9000/ (T-mobile (959)) or could be 897 etc, so make sure the phone and the build are compatible with the Rom you want to flash. Remember some service providers customize the phone
Espero que ajude, boa sorte
Mine is 959, so I´m thinking the official froyo roms on that website won´t work properly for me.
p.s - getting good with the portugue, hey
I have the AT&T version of the galaxy s2. I rooted it earlier and everything was working fine with the stock rom. Then i downloaded the revolution rom because it seemed pretty popular. After flashing the rom my menu buttons at the bottom of my phone are all messed up.The search button and back button dont work at all then the home button actually works as the back button instead of the home button. So im guessing the revolution rom is made for one of the internaional galaxy maybe? Can anyone help me? Even other rom suggestions would be freat because im really not liking the feeling of this one, especialy with my buttons all messed up. thank you ahead of time.
Just flash hellraiser overtop of the rom and it will fix all the buttons.
Unless you get the ROM out of the dev forum for the AT&T SGS2 you probably shouldn't flash it unless you have a really good idea of what you are doing. With my limited experience I would suggest flashing stock and starting over with a ROM designed for the right phone. If you read the hellraiser thread it is really an alpha release and there is a lot of debugging and testing going on.

Hello,
I have accidentally flashed a kernel for the Galaxy.
Of course it did not work.
Then I flashed Steve kernel.
I noticed that the Y-axis was inverted and the Menu and Back buttons not working.
Can someone help me?
I don't have any problems with STeVEs custom with my french Galaxy s wifi 4.0.

Maybe you should try to reflash the rom? I don't know how to flash the official rom. ^^
Do you have the US version or another version? Because the US one has a capacitive home button, making it not compatible with international versions and vice-versa. If you have the yp-g1 international (physical home button), try the firmwares at samfirmware.com, all their yp-g1 firmwares are for non US versions.
If you have the US version, here is the link for the stock ROM (credits to alltellmobile): http://www.4shared.com/file/zhZjh0EY/package_us235tar.html
Hope I helped!
EDIT: Oops sorry I just saw that you have a German version. Well go to http://www.samfirmware.com/mp3.htm and pick the right firmware version yp-g1. You have to create an account first but it's easy. There is a flashguide in the ROM package and follow that to reflash your device to stock.
It does not help!
I have reflashed STeVEs ROM and the ROM from samfirmware.com.
Did you try wiping all data before flashing?
Yes, with Volume Up+Home-Button+On
And you can't reflash an official rom?
No, I do not find the XXKPQ-ROM.
Edit:Maybe I should still complement that I mistakenly flashed a Kernel from Samsung Galaxy S
Then it cannot be begun any more.
Then I have flashed STeVEs ROM and Kernel and everything was reflecting-wrong.
Can nobody help me?
I see a YP-G1 ROM here. This seems to be the stock rom for YP-G1 in Hong Kong. Let me know if you have difficulty in downloading it (the download page is all Chinese )
1 Day to download.
Tomorrow there are results.
Edit: Download always failed
thanks for thread, helped a lot
It may sound strange but I got used to it now.
Nevertheless, I would like to have a fully functioning player.
Does anyone know how?
Same Problem here
Hi there,
I have the same Problem.
I tried to flash a gt-i9000 rom on my yp-g1 and it failed.
After this i flashed it with odin (etherealromV2.4 and R3_INTL Kernel). Succesful.
My Problem: my y-axis is inverted and the menu and back keys dont work (but they are lighted).
I already tried different combination of roms (etherealromV2.4, IcyFusion_v2.3_G1UEKI8, Klassic_R5_INTL) and kernels (R3_INTL, STeVEs-3.0-EU, TerraSilent_intl-1.3.5). But nothing fixed the problem.
Do you have any idea how i can fix it?
You two that accidentally flashed the wrong rom most likely need to find the stock rom for your respective players and flash back. Don't flash any custom roms or kernels because that isn't going to help you. Go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720457 credits go to zalcimon, and get it from there.

I have a YP-G1CW/XEG (Samsung Galaxy S WIFI 4.0 white - i think for the german market).
I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531850
First i tried it with G1XXKPQ - but i had the same issues.
Afterwards i tried G1ZKC5. Now everything is fine :good:
Even if I flash TerraSilent_intl-1.3.5 and EtherealRomV2.4 all keys are working correctly and the y-axis is normal.
Hey guys,
Im having some troubles with my device and I thought you guys could help me resolve it.
Ok so, whenever i flash a stock Samsung ICS rom on my SII, my home-button doesnt function anymore and pressing the power button turns off my device without giving any options menu. I flashed to stock XXKH3 XXKI3 XXKL1 etc and then back to ICS but the buttons just dont work. Im sure i have the GT-I9100 the package says so and the sticker under the battery in the device itselves also says i9100. Now another weird thing, theres a rom in the Android development thread well its actually a backup of someones ICS rom and whenever i restore that ROM and i boot the phone the home button actually works again, but still a no go for the power button. I flashed wit .pit format system/data/cache everything.
Do you guys have any idea whats wrong with my Device?
Cheers.
ICS = test rom alpha beta not released by Samsung not fully working for testers only .
As your warranty is now void i suggest flash stock rom clear custom rom counter and test .
jje
Try cm9 I haven't experienced any similar problems with that

(Sorry for my english) Hi folks, I have a problem... using the search button I saw many threads talkin' about touchscreen's problems.
I tried with the many solutions over there, but my problem is different.
I installed the Legacy Xperia 4.3 Rom, after that, my phone starts to have problems with the touch.
When I used the sliding qwerty keyboard, touch doesn't work, but when I used my phone in vertical mode, it works for a couple of seconds.
Then, I remove the Rom and I used the 4.2.2 Rom from Legacy Xperia.
The touchscreen doesn't work even in the recovery menu. At first I thought that it was a hardware problem, but when I replace my touchscreen the problem still doesn't fix. I noticed another thing. I can't flash >4.1 kernels anymore. I tried to flash the same 4.3 kernel that bricked my touch and my phone doesn't boot at all. With another kernel, my phone turns on properly. Please, help me... :crying:

Yes... I tried many solutions, like Aroma method, Active ROM method, flash stock ics rom metod, but nothing changed. I think that my problem must be a software problem because now I can't flash any >4.1 kernel.

Try flashing the following combination :
Lupus Jb v7 kernel (link : http://goo.im/devs/wedgess/LuPuS-MPDI-Kernels/JB/mango)
Hepta Error Rom (link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336571)
I swear mini pro feels like its possessed or something (generally speaking )
For me, the LegacyXperia ROM and its kernel always gave problems with touch and my right soft key would go haywire. The only stable combination that worked for me is the one I posted above. Try it, and see if it helps!
