Hey folks,
got a little problem with the latest HyDrOG3N-ICS
When I go into the camera app, a toast says "Your SD card is full" ... well and this is simply not true
I read somewhere I should format the internal SD card ... whatever that means, but I can find it in CWM.
Is there anything I have to do before or after that ... besides making a backup somewhere else than on my internal memory ?
Hey I have the same problem I cannot take photos, does anyone have a fix? Sorry I'm a massive noob, tried to search but found nothing

Install ES FILE EXPLORER and explore all of the folders in external and internal sd card, you will get to know how much space is being consumed. If its just a camera problem, switch to "ICS Camera+" app and then try.,
Hey I think it's affecting my downloads as well, can't save images etc off Web browser.
I have astro file manager and everything seems okay? Not sure what's going on but it's the same with instagram etc..
Any ideas?

Hi
When I have my external SD card installed all the apps I try to install fail. I also noticed when using Rom Manager and downloading and installing ROMS it always use to fail saying the file could not found after it rebooted and tried to flash.
With Kitchen Pro, i can remove my external SD card and everything works then, but its a bit of a pain having to do this everytime I want to have a little play.
Using Siyah 2.5.1 and CheckROM RevoHD 4
Thanks
Ryan
Happens to me too. I have found that it's kernel related, both siyah and void.echo aren't much kitchenpro friendly. There should be some kind of issue with mount points.. perhaps the developer could fix this implementing an option that allows to choose the storage device
Anyway.. I have a brutal solution which consists of copying the entire Download/CheckROM_REVO directory into the sdcard
Am I noob or what?
think i fixed mine by deleting the clockworkmod folder off sd card

The files are stored on internal storage. You don't need wipe this storage.

You can wipe sdcard storage external from rom or recovery. Usb storage is your internal sdcard.

Just go to settings/storage and check. Usb storage is your internal memory, I think.

Hi,
I'm new and though I've watched the noob video I hope I'm in the right place, if not please dont get angry ><.
2 days ago I've flashed into stock rom for my SG3 (GT-i9300) back from my RGUI v5 Build number: MIUI-2.8.3 IMM76D / Kernal version: 3.0.38-Siyah-s3-v1.3.9c
Ask me why? because I've had some issues trying to install official MIUI v4 from the international website and always I get error: "Status 7" with a dead android inside. (Again, Why ? because I as hoping it would make my SG3 even smoother... more responsive)
So I though perhaps flashing it from a stock rom might work, so I used Odin and everything went fine, again ofcourse I got the error and went back to CWM to restore the backup i've made before flashing anything, I dont really mind about the error right now, I've seen similar posts about it and I shall continue investigating it, What's more important is on the next phrase.
Today I found out that all my photos were deleted, after restoring my RGUI v5 rom 2 days ago ofcourse....
I'm not sure how could the situation get any better though I remember previously flashing rom's that the SD card never being touched and I guess I was wrong.
What I wanted to ask is, I just got more CWM backup files on my external SD, does anyone knows if CWM backup restores user data aswell or should I just give up ?
Helpfull tips of how to restore it could be usefull (Oh lord, please spare me I beg you, I'll pray more).
Thanks in advance.
I've flashed hundreds of times on S1, S2 and now S3 and never lost any data or photos that are on either the internal or external sd cards.
Not sure but could it be that you somehow hit format sd card in cwm by accident?

Have you searched your internal and external storage? Maybe they were only stored on a different location so that the stock Gallery cannot find them?
Storages are either completely wiped or not wiped - but you don't only loose one particular folder

I tried to install 3rd party Gallery program which scans my SD's for photos and it could nothing.... Its probably not there.
I think all is lost unless one of my backups contains them.

Unfortunately cwm backups do not backup stuff on the sd card like photos. Looks like you've lost them man.

In a more optimistic view there are worse things, and although its quite hard to swollow all I've got left to do is say thanks to every one for trying...
Thanks.
Sorry, but this is a "Well Duh..." moment.... Flashing any stock rom through ODIN will always wipe the data partition on the internal sd card. You need to backup the internal stuff onto your PC. Only a stock firmware that has been modded will allow a non-wipe flash and you usually need to be rooted as it is no longer a stock rom.
You should be able to restore a nandroid backup of a stock rom too without wiping the internal sd card as this is only putting the system data back onto your phone...

It almost looked like a life saver case but it seems to target the external SD card only.
I can't seem to find a setting to switch into internal SD...
Hey guys!
I have a problem and I search on the internet for days but I can't find a solution of this. So I have to write it down here. I hope someone can help me with this one.
So...the story. I had ICS on my phone, but I flashed with an official JB. So it's a stock rom, all i did with it just a rooting method. So it's stock but it's rooted. My problem is that all of my audio players (stock, winamp, early poweramp) can't see my sd card. All of my other apps can see it, but non of the audio players. I had a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 before the I9100, and that one and the Samsung Galaxy I9100 with ICS could see the external SD, because when I entered in my internal SD I could see a folder named ext-sd. It was a "link" to my external sd, so I can quickly access to it. Now on JB the folder is gone. I think the solution is that I make the "link" again. It's just a guess, I am a simply user so if you guys have an idea for this issue, please tell me cause it's a real pain in my ass :-S So all I want is my audio players can read my ext SD. Waiting fo the suggestions!
Have a nice day!

I also had similar problems when I tested out your experience,in an another device I found that in JB the Music Player is not detecting from the ext-sd card or internal sd card, the thing I did was backup all data and formatted both the memory, I think it may be related to the filesystem settings but whatever a wipe and restore saved the day.
What i did
1.Made a nandroid backup
2.Copied all data from sdcard and ext-sdcard
3.Copied everything to PC
4.Performed complete wipe
5.Restored nandroid and copied data back as it was
6.Everything aright, crisis averted.
Thank you so much! I hope it gonna works. I will check it today!

Tough luck, then maybe the issue is with the media scanner?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
I, after a series of reading has found that there is in fact a media scanner error in JB which causes similar problems like Gallery not updating, music player not updating, some of these people resolved this issue by using the app rescan media root to terminate media scan at boot time, and then by manually running scanner through that app to update your Gallery/Music Player, try this procedure, there is a flashable zip to fix this for deodexed roms.

hello, plz tell me how to fix this. my s2 not accessing internal storage both from file manager and from pc. but it shows in recovery. currently am on carbon 4.3. i tried many file manager but every one shows only external sd card and system ,and internal folder is empty. plz tell me how to fix this. otherwise i should flash it to stock rom.
did complete wipe and cleared cache ,dalvik cache tried other custom rom, Nothing worked
thanks
It does seem like a problem with the ROM to me, but you could try to access it with linux instead of Windows/OSX just to see if that makes a difference. If it were me, since you have already flashed a ROM, try another custom ROM, maybe CM stable to keep it predictable. See if that fixes the problem. Or just re-download your current ROM and re-flash, you never know.

I tried different ROMs but same problem there. In file manager the internal SD card is empty and in recovery there it is.
I even can't open gallery or camera and can't download from browser. It gives error of " no internal SD card".

And also can't use Bluetooth because while receiving files it save it to internal SD card , and give error while receiving files. When there are no internal SD card accessible how it can save it.
And also I used GalaxSim unlock previously to unlock my phone, now it is giving error of sim lock, because the GalaxSim unlock files are save into Internal Memory and it can't be accessible so it giving sim lock error.
