I am looking to a bag for my SII. I bought a golla bag that was suppose to work, but it's was to small. I do have a casemate over the phone, so it needs to be fairly good size. Anyone know if such a thing?

Our phone is (with my sgp case) 2 and 3/4 by 5 and 1/10 === Basically 3 by 5 so 4 by 6 should fit the case. Or 10 x 14 or 15 cm
I just got a Tab for Christmas and was wondering, what is/are your favorite case(s)? I'm looking for a case with a built in stand and good protection. Material and cost really don't matter.
I have had the official samsung galaxy tab 10.1 case for several months now and it's holding up nicely. Contrary to 3rd party cases, it fits the tab perfectly, not adding excessive bulk to the tab. You can stand the tab up or just have it rest at an incline. When completly opened it gives much better grip to hold the tab with one hand. You'll find several reviews on youtube if you search for "galaxy tab 10.1 case review"

Are you referring to the Official Book Cover? The only problem is the cost, is the case worth the ~$60 price?

Yeah... That's the one I was referring to. It is in fact a little steep at ~60$, but I find it's worth it because of the fit. The leather ones wrap around the corners and cover the sides, which actually may protect the tab better, but I just don't like the extra bulk... The galaxy tab 10.1 is a very thin tablet, I want a case that keeps it that way as much as possible.
On youtube one of the reviews compares the official case to the Belkin one, which gives a good idea of diffences in fit.

I really like it.
Clip case by Pyro Skins. I sent an email to him applauding the case and mentioned what MAY have been a problem with the case, and 30 minutes later I had a tracking # for a second case, no questions asked. You cant beat that kind of customer service.
Indeed the Official Samsung Book Case takes this one. Very functional and keeps the thin profile of the device. Only gripe is when taking pictures, since you'd have to hole up the front cover. But who takes a lot of snaps from their tabs anyway?
I do. Not a problem with Pyro Skins. Also thin and cheaper to buy.
I chose 360 case because of
A. Price
B. Don't have to leave case open in order to charge the tab. I want my tablet covered when left out on desk/table when charging. The official book case has to be left open to charge (I believe).

this case is very thin and I love it
After looking at all the suggestions, I purchased the VIPERTEK Premium Slim Leather Case Folio with Built-In Standbest from Amazon for $25. I really wanted a clip case and I chose the ViperTek over the PyroSkins clip case for the ability to charge while the case is closed. Thank you all for your input.
I am using the Belkin - Ultrathin Folio & very happy with the case so far.

I got the official samsung case and it's pretty awsome. A little expensive tough. A friend of mine was looking for a case for his tab and he found a similar case at dealextream. It does look a lot like mine, at least from the pictures.
I find the smart cover case of my iPad 2 is ideal for typing in "landscape keyboard" mode. I haven't found any cases on eBay etc that do this except some really bulky/fugly ones. Has anyone found anything elegant/thin along the lines of the iPad 2 smart cover yet? I realize the GT7.7 doesn't have the logic to turn off when the cover is closed, I can live without that!

As long as the surface is not overly smooth, the Samsung Original Book Cover case does stand in landscape (thanks to rubber strips that adds friction). See pics. May not *look* especially stable, but it does seem to hold out nicely.
Ironically, I would like to see a case that allows my tab to stand in portrait mode, since I'm more likely to read that way. Never seen one before.

Thats the one. I personally prefer cases that give all round protection and this case does that. I find cases that only grip the corners can come loose over time, and badly made ones have terrible tolerances and may not even adequetly hold the device.

I also think that a case like the smart cover for the ipad2 is ideal for the tab 7.7. I have seen those for the 10.1 and 8.9 on ebay, and I am pretty sure they will pop up for the 7.7 soon.

That's basically exactly the same as the one I posted above except my link is cheaper and located in the UK (minus the screen protector but they are pence anyway)
The one I ordered also has better protection at the bottom

In thinking about buying one of the gel skins off eBay USA. I've just got the tablet and I'm finding it a bit plasticky and hollow sounding. I'm thinking that a skin might deaden the sound a bit.
Can anyone vouch for the quality of them?

Looks good and US $11.99 is not a bad price. Amazon.com has the same item labeled "by Sony" in black (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) and purple (ASIN: B007BXZYPA) for US $7.99 with free Amazon Prime Membership 2-day shipping. Non-Prime standard 3-day shipping is probably US $2.99, but I'm guessing the cost.

I ordered one from Amazon.com and will receive it tomorrow evening. After I install it on the tablet, I will post here to let you know whether or not the skin covers the IR sensor.
Edit: I received and installed the skin. Fits well. None of the tablet's features (power plug, buttons, speakers, etc.) are blocked. And yes, there is a hole for the IR sensor.

I really want one to make the tablet feel more solid in the hand. As much as I love Google and hate Apple I really miss the build quality of my old iPad 1. I also think HC is an abomination of an OS - What were Google thinking!!

I purchased a black skin (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) from Amazon.com, so go to their web site to see photographs. I like the skin. Its color is a perfect dark charcoal. It fits very well and tighly hugs the tablet's form. When I am handling the tablet, the skin does not feel like it is going to fall off and the back part does not feel floppy. It has a good industrial rubber feel and it makes the tablet feel more solid and protected, which is a plus for me because I am an industrial controls engineer and I frequently use my tablet in the field. The skin has openings in all the right places and does not block any of the tablet's features. I feel purchasing the skin was a wise choice.

Yes, I have a cradle and no, the tablet will not fit into the cradle if the skin is on it. But the skin is easy to remove and put back on (I do it carefully, taking my time), so it is not a problem for me.

I got the skin in the post the other day. I'm not too impressed with it TBH. It is not the snuggest of fits - its a bit loose.
I don't think I'll use it TBH. I'm getting used the plastic nature of the Tablet S.

I purchased a Black Silicone Skin from Amazon.com six weeks ago and so far it's held up nicely. I remove the skin nightly so I can put my tablet in its cradle and put the skin back on every morning, and today it still fits as snug as it did the first time I put it on my tablet.

I'm not sure what you mean by fitted case but ebay has mostly TPU Gel (the very shiny ones) cases that are fitted. I was trying to find you the nillkin case but it seems that they don't either sale or make them anymore. To me it's the best fitted case. This case is the one I bought on Amazon. I love this case. For some reason, this case makes me Galaxy Player 5.0 look bigger lol. It rubbery grips along the side to grip your Galaxy Player.All buttons are easily accessible. Altho the holes for the headphone jack is a big to small. But my earphones (Galaxy S3 earphones) fit fine. You may need to cut to make the hole a little bigger. I can post pictures of all the sides if you want. People posted pictures on Amazon and one of them is the bottom which has the slightly off center hole for the headphone jack.

I already bought one of those TPU-gel cases at e-bay, i choosed the blue color, came through regular mail to Brazil, took about 2 months to arrive...
But it's a really good deal, where i live the stores are charging about $24 each..
