Which rom would you recommend if you were looking for a smooth clean rom with good batterylife? I don't use stuff like timescape and mediascape or that stuff, just Facebook and Twitter mostly, and mail.
Feralab v13.4. Its so smooth and fast . And cool features.

Have you unlocked bootloader? you didint said that. feralab needs unlocked bootloader.
I've rooted it using Root Unroot Sony 1.5 so bootloader is still locked. Can I re-root using Flashmod or do I have to unroot it again first?

Roms ive tried in the last week...
FXP114 CM7.2.0 - Extremely customisable and looks great, good batt life. i love this rom. The camera is still a bit dodgy.
DonutHD2.2 - Basic but clean
Dixperia 7 Avenger - Very smooth and clean, im still using this one although Id prefer CM7.2 if it wasnt for the camera drama

FXP115 CM7.2.0 already released! You can patch the SEMC camera to fix the camera on CM7.2.0 since Sony didn't release the lib. module for X10's camera.

Thanks everybody!
Once I work up the courage to unlock the bootloader I will check all your suggestions
@Sinatra_Shinoda: Is it easy to patch the camera if I use FXP115 CM7.2.0? I use it quite a bit since I have a 3 yr old daughter and a 2 month old son
My wife just got an Xperia S but has to switch providers for it to work, once that is done I will probably get to work on my X10, since I can then use her Galaxy Mini as a backup if I screw it up

Yes, it is easy. You can patch it after you install the ROM. Same thing applied for the Gapps Addons.

Just flashed FXP115 CM7.2.0 and the camera patch and Im happy to say my beloved cyanogenmod is pretty much perfect.
Camera is solid and responsive at 8mp and auto rotate functions in all Apps.
This morning as a test i put mine and my wifes x10's side by side. Mine with Dixperia 7 and hers with CM7.2.0. Started a few apps at same time and I couldn't see any difference in speed between them!
CM7 wins for me for its customising ability
Thanks guys, based on this I'll probably be going for CM 7.2.0

M&M MIUI V6 is good or not tell me
Feralab v14 volt is really good too.
Rom: feralab volt v14
kernel: doom v06
rocking the unlocked bootloader, using xda premium app.
phones are like cars, you can't keep them stock for too long.
Id say Wolfbreak V7 its simple, clean and fast also supports both unlocked and locked bootloaders, theres no FC apart from brightness but there is a fix for it.
I find the gaming version best out of any just install the DSP manager and maybe a different music player (I dont like the normal one personally) leave it to settle and you got one of best out there, If u dont want stock go for CM7.2 its fast smooth and not very buggy or cud try ZMOD CM7
The classic roms seem better than most new versions.
you need try Donut with ICS theme, it's very smoothy n fast..
Why not try MIUI oodie Prime X ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295089
Smooth, battery life long .. and stable. i have changed from Feravolt ..
I'm also looking for a new rom..I can't decide between fera and cm 7.2 or M&M MIUI V6 ....what you guys think, which one is better and why..
M&M MIUI V6 attracts me somehow because of 'beast sound'' but idk how good that is and how are other apps and settings.
I installed fera for now and It's fine but I'm still wondering if cm 7.2 and M&M MIUI V6 are good

Which of the following ROM List most stable (I need stable than the Stock 2.1 ROM if it can) and fast :
- [ROM+KERNEL]X10MiniProTeam 0.5 + nAa Kernel
- [ROM] MiniCM7Pro - V21 FINAL + Stock Kernel / nAa Kernel
- [ROM] MiniCM7-2.1.9 Gingerbread 2.3.7/CM7.2 + nAa Kernel
I will be based on that for development this ROM Offical 2.3.7 from HERE
MiniCM7.
Like every other GB ROM, it does have memory issues. ICS gives plenty of memory, as much as stock, but its still in beta stage. MiniCM7 is the best we've got.
Yup, there's a lot of new ROM out there, but still got some bugs on it and likely something missing and we need to flash other zip file to fix it up. Most of the failure is about wifi connection, keybord light, force closed, network problem. This week I already used 3 rom. In the morning, I'm on prime HDv2 but right now, I'm using xmpteam rom v0.5.

Hmmm if u choose mini cm pro v21. U better use stock kernel rather than nAa kernel.. A lot of user's out there had theire touch screen not responding.

I suggest you to use as base MiniCM7 or PrimeHD.
I have been using MiniCM7 for a while now... I must say I have no complaints about it...
MiniCM7 by nAa.
MiniCM7Pro - V21 FINAL by paul-xxx , running on stock kernel. It's the best we've got until: V03 of paul-xxx's Ice Cream Sandwich rom with fully functioning in-built WiFi. I don't want to have to flash extra zip/s to get the WiFi working - I'll unlock my bootloader, change to a custom kernel and use paul-xxx's ICS rom as soon as the WiFi just works. Plain and simple. I can't wait until V03!
[ROM] ArcMini X Remake WiFi Fixed [Links Updated] [24/2/2012]
this rom i think is very good.
just an idea
why dont you focus on stable GB rom for stock kernel?take minicm7pro as a base..and perfect it more (yep this rom is perfect, but do it more)..so that, new user come here, see you rom, download, n flash..(ofcourse they must have recovery first )..this my reasons
1. we already had a lot of gb rom using custom kernel, n new active one is x10mpteam, they doing great, so why do you want to make another?
2. we only had a couple rom using stock..and for x10mini, i dont see latest gb rom for stock, myb im wrong but after you done, you can port for them too..
MiniCM7 from nAa, with this I have 65-70mb free ram
Kernel may have something to do with it though as im on nAa-11..
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
i suggest x10 MP teams ROm with its kernel I have 92 mb free in every minute i can say and its very stable and improved 3d graphics just relax when you have a team like X10 MP team
I remember saying that the x10 mini is way ahead of the big x10 xperia.
And someone said that it's not true.... it is... and we still are.
Looks at the amount of roms with fixed EGL adreno 200 lib's for x10 mini.

i was using that rom too, but since nAa ported his rom and kernel I immediately switched. gintonic is outdated and laggy compared to minicm7 2.1.9. but you must unlock bootloader and flash nAa kernel to get it working. back in the day it was longer process, and we had to do it manually, but today there are simple tools to do that easy and fast (unlocking bootloader).

It is a bit of a question of personal taste, but for me it still is MiniCM7-2.2.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026) together with nAa Kernel. Everything works, it is fast and it is stable.
Before you flame me ...I don't own this device.
I have checked out several of the roms that have been built for this device.
I am wondering which is the most stable, what features do you like about it, how far are the ICS ports?
I am curious because I will be installing one of these based on YOUR reccomendations for someone else as I do not own the device.
I would greatly appreciate device specific pros, cons, tips and tweaks.
I am particularly interested in miniCM7 as I have CM7 on my lg gt540 but checking out the thread I have seen many issues with wifi etc.
So to sum it up I am looking to you... the experts on the x10minipro.
Help me make the right choice for someone else.

GB roms are the most stable ones. ICS has problems with adreno libs but as of today qualcomm released the drivers. cant really say but heres what i have used.
[ROM] MiniCM7-2.2.0 [29/3/12]Gingerbread 2.3.7/CM7.2 unofficial port for the pro
Pros:
very stable
many features
used by majority IMO
many tweaks
Cons:
boot loader needs unlocking - tricky for some i guess
needs custom kernel - same reason
[ROM] MiniCM7Pro - V21 FINAL + Lite Versions
Pros:
does not need unlocked bootloader
easy intallation
stable as well
Cons:
less tweaks compared to the other one
no updates for some time
note: this is for my u20i because you did not say what phone your using.

Btw i tried the cwm version... very nice work.

Dixperia 7 is a smooth, fast, stable and good looking version of the stock factory rom.
I wouldnt give CM7 to my Mum coz it has heaps of very customisable settings under the the hood and if She started poking around in there things could get ugly pretty quickly
Choices for my Mum would be...
Dixperia 7 avenger
T.E.A.M Transparent
DonutHD2.2

Imo most stable is currently DiXperia 7 (which i'm using right now), it's clean very fast, include alot of xperia S apps, simple theme etc.. And DonutHD is also very nice, it's bugfree, fast, & ICS themed.
Quick question about Dixperia 7... Am correct in assuming you have to download and install a LOT op different stuff? I saw that there is the rom, and then after that you have to install some kind of facebook, a browser, an app for this, an app for that... Isn't that a lot of extra work? Or is there a cersion where all of that stuff is already included in the Rom? In my case, the extra installing would prevent me from using the Rom as it seems like a lot more wok then other Roms that are already complete? Or am I mistaking?
My ROM has additional downloads in single addons/files, cause not all people using the same stuff, so after install my ROM, you just apply those files you need - it makes you more being yourself, cause you don't need delete tons of non-using apps. Of course decision depends of you - I can't tell you which ROM is the best, cause I'm not flashoholic, and I am Dev - every Dev prompting for his system, am I right ? Cheers.

Try Feralab NG r JAF.It might help u
Try Fera NG.
Moved To Q&A
Please post in the correct section
whatever u do dont ever try fera ROM if you r new to flashing ROM....
the best bet would be installing Dixperia8... works like a charm....
or reflash fxp125 cm7.2.... doesnt has ny hiccups with me.... have flashed it on my sister's phone and she aint complain'g a BIT
i'm on Lions Pride ROM till now..
yeah..i know maybe it was old, but it's perfect (for me)..
cm7- if you can live without HD video playback
Fera V20,Donut HD --- complete stock roms with everything working
X10S- good Xperia S port
achotjans V2= complete Xperia S rom build( might have bug)
try feralab v20 final (the unlocked bootlaoder version). there is a locked bootloader version too (but since u unlock, maximise ur potential
i flashed it recently. the installing user interface is kinda cool.
I am really impressed with MIUI 2.3.2 cobrato. Really stable and standard kernel is OC to 1.114GHz. I am loving the shake to skip option especially when playing music.
I bought the extended battery - 3600mAh from ebay and I am getting a solid 3 1/2 days with medium use. Downside is that you can forget about the zoom function with MIUI ROMS.
Everything works for me even the wifi tethering.
Try it.
exclude MIUI if possible!!
I'm a flashaholic and just spent the last couple of days finding a rom for everyday use on this device. I've had it laying in a drawer for a year, but since my Desire is away for repairs, my interest in x10 mini reawakened.
The only rom that gives half decent batterylife and just bearable laggieness is latest cm7. This device clearly has limits.
You must try it yourself. Because, maybe for others is good, but for you will not. I been read that FeraRom v20 is good, fast, without lags... But when I was trying by myself, I realize that it's not good enough for me ( have lags, not so fast as they wrote...). I was try many roms( Stock, Feralab's, Achotjan's, Wolfbreak's...)Currently I use X10S V9, and that Rom, by my opinion, is best for me. I just tweaked him with build.prop tweaks and with Rom Toolbox app, and for now, it's best rom I was try. I repeat, you must try by yourself to find out which rom best suit you.

I settled back to Xperia S (X10S V9)... Coz it's the mostvstaboe and most smooth, feralab is laggy so not my choice, achotjsn is almost same as X10S so no issues, donut HD has too many files to flash other than that no issues (only thing is not as smooth as X10S), I also liked a Rom called techdevil_evolution coz it's super light and very smooth but for some reason data connection was broke (bad kernel) so for now its a no no for me...
