[Q] App to Sync Media over Wi-Fi - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want a very simple which I can't find for now. I want an app that syncs certain folders on my pc to certain folders on my phone. Like if I have a in the Sync folder two folders Music and Documents when I add a song or a document in the Sync folder I want with the touch of one button or automatically they to be synced with my device. I tried dropbox but it didn't work for me. I have to favorite all files that I want to be available offline. I tried Android Sync Manager too but I didn't find any option to automaticly sync a folder on my pc with a folder on my device. If I want to sync music I must first add it to Music in Android Sync Manager and then sync.

For music, you can try Google Music. You need to download the PC Program and the Android APK!
When you add music in PC Program, it syncs with your device!

Yes, as far as I know a program called discover pro allowed you transfer your files to your phone without a cable(via wifi), but I don't think it'll be recognized by iTunes...
Yet, hero doesn't need iTunes to sync music at all, you just copy your music to the folder and it'll find it.
Hope these may help.

[Q] Need Some Android Sync Softwares

Hi there,
I am looking for some Android Sync softwares which can syncronize data between PC and Android cell phones wirelessly.
Is there any good one?
Suggestions:
Short answer: "it depends".
For music I have used isyncr, which syncs to iTunes. isyncr lives on your SD card & will bring in playlists. Look in the market. There is a Wi-Fi add-on that you can also get from the market.
Of course, Dropbox & Box.net can sync folders through the 'net. I think Box.net is finally going to ship their app soon. Dropbox is available now in the market.
I know you want wireless, but using a wire and "Sync Toy" (a Microsoft product, believe it or not) can sync quickly. You can set it to sync any folder(s) on your computer with folder(s) on your SD card. I use it to sync pictures, docs, etc. It works fast so you'd only be attached for a bit. You can set multiple sync plans, which makes it a quick & easy way to keep a current backup of your SD card as well.

Calender Sync

So i want to export my calendar from my windows pc & outlook 2007 to my xperia tab without having to use google cloud NSA/GCHQ snooping software, is there any way to do this please?
i managed to sync contacts via sony's pc companion, which requested ring 0 level access to my pc, like WTF are sony trying to implement more snooping rootkits or what, sry i digress, yep so i DENIED sony snoopware ring zero & managed to sync contacts but the software does not include a workaround google for calenders unlike my samsung software.
is there any FREE way i can sync my phone to my tab or pc to my tab without google?
As i say i already have my outlook synced via samsungs kias software, using this, in the uk allows you to move outlook data without having to use the cloud unlike sony's data snooping offering, so is there any way to transfer the data from my samsung android phone directly to my xperia z tab, where is this data stored on the android device pls, and can i just copy paste it?
ok fixed, what i did was install iCal Import/Export 2.0 >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tk.drlue.icalimportexport
exported on my samsung s3 & imported to my sony xperia z
i guess if you dont have a samsung, youre kinda out of luck but if anyone knows of any other work around, please post as there is thread after thread of people trying to do exactly what i have managed to do, without having to sync to google snooping cloud servers anyway!
Have a look at CalendarSync. Not sure about the free version, but the paid one allows you to create a calendar at your device itself. Works like a charm for me.

To copy calendar data from one android device to another I often use myphoneexplorer available in the Google play.
>>> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client&hl=de
It consists of to parts - a phone and a desktop app that can be synchronized. Also you can choose between different export formats.
Works perfectly every time.

How can I create a sync folder for my PC, laptop, and my android?

Every time I add new files or delete file in this sync folder, it automatically do the same for other devices?
Thank you,
Try using google drive or dropbox. This should do the trick. I use drive on my android but i sync only from pc or mac. But there is a third party app called drivesync that should be able to sync local folders if you need this. i belive they have dropbox sync as well. I bought the last one but don't use it for a while now.
