Hey brainiacs,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if we had a the proper kernel to install Ubuntu using this app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zpwebsites.ubuntuinstall
I have tried installing all of the files, and failed. Has anyone else tried this out? Thanks in advance

Try linux installer I used that on my evo should work with this phone. Are you stock gb or on the ics leak?

I got this working on my galaxy tab 7.0 plus by simply following the directions. I GUI is pretty useless though. I know Ubuntu was interested at somepoint in a netbook or tablet UI. does that exist for android?
Tried it and it worked. When you run the terminal command sh ubuntu.sh, it will tell you in the first read out like so:

before i installed ubuntu, i went into Rezound Toolkit and installed the "Inkredikernel".and then i installed ubuntu on my HTC Rezound following the instructions in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbunTRzEQCI and it works fine for me.
Tip: after you download "ubuntu.zip", create a folder called "ubuntu" and extract the ubuntu ZIP into the ubuntu folder you created, and THEN you can transfer to your SDcard.

First, I wasn't quite sure where I should put this, so if theres a better forum for it, please move it.
I feel like a real idiot right now, but nonetheless I'm having issues getting Eclipse 3.5.2 and the Android SDK to work (on Mac OS X).
I got as far as installing the ADT plugin and then once I got to "showing" Eclipse where the Android SDK was located I failed miserably. Every time I navigate to the folder and hit open and then apply nothing happens, it just stays at the "default" no SDK(s) screen. Bit hard to explain, so I took a screenshot.

So if anyone knows how to get that to work, it would be really appreciated. Maybe I screwed up something really obvious, that would be just my luck.
Umm, have you downloaded all the developer tools in the SDK? Launch the android binary in the /tools/ folder and look for available packages and install them all, or the ones you'll be using at least.

Download the 'High resolution version (Froyo/2.2)' version. Unzip, install both apks using the file manager of your choice. Simple as that.

or will this work?
Nah old fashioned root method is safer and guaranteed to work... i wouldn't try that way. An old man in ancient times (1990's) once said "That which is on youtube is not always true" and it remains true to this day
Search google or xda forums, they are specifically for the atrix. I unlocked and rooted my atrix by sbf flashing into a controlled softbrick, entering fastboot to unlock and then reboot. Ding fries are done! Make sure you read the instructions all the way through before attempting any install.

I find the root method on BriefMobile to be most effective. A little more work vs one click but you learn something doing the old fashion way.

I can confirm that this one-click method does in fact work on Motorola Atrix running OTA 4.9.1 GB. Here is a direct link to the TalkAndroid article.
If you'd prefer to run the commands individually, feel free to open the batch file and run each one.
I thought I'd share this with everyone. They are two LWP's from the galaxy S3. I have installed them on the TF300 and can confirm that they work. This is the originating thread from the GS3 forums.
Install them like a normal app.

I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure since all my devices are running ICS.
Those are awesome, thanks!

Hi Bro,
i'm new to HP or IT things, would you mind to teach me how to install the LWP?
i have downloaded both file, but after unzip it my PC, i found a folder:-
C:\LuminousDots\META-INF\......and so on
what should i do in order to get it work in My Galaxy Note?
Please help. appreciate very much.
.apk files on android are like .exe files on windows - u dont need to unpack them. All u need to do is copy it to phone/tablet (i dont know what note is) or its sdcard and than using file manager on phone found it and touch it to start instalation.

Intro:
Today I present you with GetDump, a Windows batch file that is the simplest way to get a system dump from your phone. All its takes is 2 clicks. I might add Linux and Mac OS 10 support in the future, but if anybody wants to do it for me that would be great. The ADB files are included in the zip so you don't need to install them. I hope I posted this is the right place....
Requirements:
Your device drivers (The drivers from the manufacture)
Windows
Should have ADB installed
How to use:
Unzip the GetDump.zip file then once its unzipped double click on the GetDump.bat file. After that follow the onscreen instructions. Once its done a window will pop up with your system dump inside of it.

Tell Me how you like it. SuperRs does more then just a system dump, but I might make one that just does a system dump.
